Join us for a special episode of the Aliengazing podcast featuring an interview with paranormal researcher and author, Maxim Furek, discussing his latest book, Flying Saucer Esoteric: The Altered States of Ufology. From 1450 to 2023, the book contains brief descriptions of every known UFO event into the present day, making it a first-of-its-kind chronology of the UFO phenomenon. The latter months of 2023 were jam-packed with UFO news, so Nik and Tom dedicate an entire episode to sort through it all. Summer is still in peak heat, and the heat has never been hotter for the UFO topic ever since whistleblower, David Grusch's interview with both the Debrief and Newsnation in June! Though some of his claims, such as the existence of a government-run UFO crash retrieval program, seem out-of-step to skeptics, his credibility as a former Intelligence officer carries a weight that can't be ignored. And it won't! Congress scheduled a hearing on UAPs July 26 where they heard witness testimony not only from Grusch, but also Ryan Graves and Commander David Fravor on the breadth and depth of their experiences with UAP under oath. We've spoken about both Fravor and Graves' UAP encounters on previous episodes of the podcast (Check out episodes 1 and 3). Though their experiences were extraordinary, the most astonishing revelations came from Grusch, who recounted nearly the entire content of his Newsnation interview before a bi-partisan panel of genuinely interested members of congress. On this episode Nik and Tom have an open conversation about the UAP hearings and whistleblower interview with David Grusch while unpacking the significance of this latest development on the road to disclosure. During the early weeks of January 1996 in the small, Brazilian town of Varginha there began a series of events initiated by multiple sightings of a UFO crash landing that would change the town forever. From the initial sighting of the UFO and subsequent military blockade established in the town to multiple sightings and interactions with a red-eyed "creature," the Varginha Incident is one of the most compelling UFO cases of the late 20th century. While the case has not been the most well-known, it was most recently the subject of a brand new documentary, "Moment of Contact" directed by James Fox. On this episode Nik and Tom dive into and reveal the details of the case presented in the documentary and speculate on a few ideas of their own about just who or what visited the town of Varginha that fateful January. Between the late 80's and early 90's there was a set of documents that began making their rounds through the UFO research community. One leaked document lead to another and by the mid 90s we had an entire collection of files that have since been dubbed, "The Majestic Documents." These documents can be read in full via the Majestic Documents website, which includes the documents, evidence for their authenticity, and a list of witnesses who corroborate various pieces of the information contained within. From alien bodies in the desert to potential connections to the Kennedy assassination, it's all on the table, baby! After a long delay, we finally present the conclusion to our Disclosure Special!! What's up Aliengazers?! In case you haven't been paying attention, UFO's have been in the news a lot lately, and it's no surprise! Media outlets have been buzzing with interest in the upcoming UFO report to congress that is (as of now) set to be released on June 25th. So to help listeners sift through the myriad of information and possibilities, Nik and Tom decided to do a two part series on recent disclosure. Part one, which will be featured in this episode, will focus on attempting to answer the question, "Why now, and what might we learn?". Part two will be recorded and posted a couple of weeks after the UFO report to congress has been released and will attempt to unpack all that the report contains within it, while also offering our own thoughts, theories, and speculation.
