This episode, our guest Len Filppu comes to us from California. His story takes us back to Brockport, New York, in the summer of 1967. Sixteen-year-old Len watched a huge orange, flame-covered craft drift low across the sky, followed by a small white orb weaving behind it. He wasn't the only witness. Police officers, university staff, and other locals said they saw the same thing that night. A newspaper report even mentioned the trailing white light, confirming what Len and his friend saw. The sight stayed with him. Years later, after working in politics, film, and Silicon Valley, he still remembers its quiet, intentional presence. More strange events followed, a poltergeist encounter, powerful coincidences, and other moments that widened his view of reality. Dakota Fransden, self-proclaimed “specialist of the strange”, claims to have fathered three alien children and claims to be married to an extra-terrestrial female, a member of just one of the hundreds of different alien species that Fransden claims visit planet Earth. Having been repeatedly the subject of the alien abduction scenario, family gathering with his three ET children and his ET wife have produced no evidence of their existence – not even a single photo, nor any other piece of tangible evidence. While Dakota Frandsen's claims about his personal experiences with extraterrestrials are indeed extraordinary, it's difficult to determine his exact motivations and intentions. It's possible that his claims could be a strategy to gain attention and establish himself as a notable figure within the UFO / alien abduction industry. By making such bold and creative statements, he may feel that this will attract a larger audience and increase interest in his podcast. However, it's important to remember that without concrete evidence to support these claims, skepticism is necessary. Frandsen's dedication to exploring the strange and unusual is questionable, as he tries to build a like-minded of those who believe that they have been abducted by aliens, claims of abductions that can not be collaborated with any evidence whatsoever. Whether his claims are genuine or a way to generate interest, it's clear that he has attracted a following of individuals who share his belief that they too have been abducted by extraterrestrials. Danielle Clode's book, A Future in Flames, addresses wildfires (or bushfires in Australia) as a worldwide phenomenon challenging civilization in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. The discussion emphasizes that bushfires are not solely a product of civilization but were present historically. Early European explorers, such as Captain Cook in 1770, frequently reported seeing fires along the Australian coast, often interpreting them as indicators of people ashore. Once explorers went ashore, some observed really intense fires that were clearly out of control. The sources highlight the long history of fire use by humans, focusing on Indigenous Australians. Prior to European settlement, Indigenous people used fire in various ways, including hunting, clearing movement passages, signaling, defense, and crucially, land management.
