Truth Be Told with Booker Scott – China's forced organ harvesting targets prisoners of conscience, including Falun Gong practitioners, Uyghurs, and people of faith. Victims vanish as organs move quickly to paying recipients. The United States faces a moral test: confront industrialized murder with transparency, binding action, and courage, or let silence protect the machine behind it...
Beau Martonik sits down with Johnny Stewart -- a PA-based DIY public land hunter with 30+ years of big woods experience across Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, West Virginia, Ohio, and North Dakota. This one is all about summer scouting. Johnny breaks down how he runs trail cameras from April through September purely for inventory (confirming a buck survived the winter), why he almost never moves cameras in summer even if they are not producing, and the pattern he and Beau figured out for why bucks vanish from cuts the moment archery season opens. Turns out it is not always pressure. Sometimes it comes down to food, and not the food sources you would expect. They also dig into the mature forest / mature buck correlation -- including a story about a late-season WV buck that left his bed specifically to eat shelf mushrooms off a downed cherry log -- glassing velvet bucks from road vantage points, and Johnny's philosophy on mid-October scouting and hunting where the deer isn't. Plus gear talk on the Timber Ninja Kunai and new Mini Kunai, the advantage of hunting with a cameraman, and a teaser on a University of Georgia study showing that fresh scrapes glow in UV light. 8a program graduation can completely change a small business's pipeline overnight, and most contractors don't see it coming until it's too late. In this episode, a construction company owner walks through how he built a $16 billion backlog of IDIQ contracts before hitting the $250 million 8a cap, what happened to his sole source work once he graduated, and how he later sold the company entirely. If you're a government contractor watching your 8a clock run out, this episode shows you exactly how to prepare. Key takeaways from this episode include: How one company went from $15 million to $75 million in sole source work in a single year right before graduating the 8a program Why bidding every MAC, MATOC, and IDIQ construction contract before graduation built a $16 billion pipeline that lasted nine more years How buying out the company in 2012 and selling it to a Philadelphia engineering firm in 2015 turned years of sole source work into a major exit How running 8a construction divisions for the Miami Nation and the Spokane Tribe took one company from $2 million to $350 million in annual revenue Why $10 to $15 million projects became the sweet spot for steady profit, fast turnaround, and manageable risk for a small prime contractor EPISODE CHAPTERS: 0:00 - Introducing Mindy the AI research assistant for contractors 0:30 - Welcome to the Federal Help Center podcast 0:56 - Growing sole source work to 75 million dollars 1:33 - Hitting the 250 million dollar 8a program cap 1:56 - Building a 16 billion dollar IDIQ contract pipeline 2:47 - Buying and selling the construction company after graduation 5:09 - Building construction divisions for tribal 8a companies 8:54 - Finding the ideal project size for steady profit Mindy gives you the federal opportunities, agency signals, recompete intel, and pursuit briefs that tell you not just what contracts exist, but which ones to chase and how to win them. You say yes when you mean no.You smile through disrespect. You swallow words that deserve to be spoken. You let people cross lines you didn't even know you were allowed to draw. And then you wonder why your body aches in places medicine can't explain. Why exhaustion isn't fixed by rest. Why resentment builds in spaces you can't name. Here's the truth they didn't tell you: Anger is not the problem. The suppression of anger is the problem. You were taught that good people don't get mad. That anger is destructive. That keeping the peace is more important than keeping yourself whole. So you buried something vital. You buried your RIGHTEOUS RAGE CIRCUIT — the critical system in your brain designed to protect you, to say no more, to draw the sacred line. But rage isn't what they told you it was.At its root, rage is passion. It is the fire that says: I matter. My needs are real. I deserve to take up space. And when you bury that fire, you don't extinguish it. You just force it underground where it burns differently — as chronic pain, as autoimmune flare-ups, as depression that no amount of gratitude journaling can touch.Let me explain how this works neurologically.Your brain runs a system — the rage circuit — rooted in your amygdala and hypothalamus. When activated, it releases adrenaline and cortisol. It sharpens your focus. It mobilizes your body. It prepares you to protect what matters. In its healthy expression, this is the energy of boundaries. Of assertiveness. Of passion that builds rather than destroys. If anger is allowed to flow appropriately, it does its job and moves through. If anger is suppressed chronically, it doesn't disappear. It rewires your nervous system into a state of constant, silent defense.Your body stays tight. Your jaw clenches without you noticing. Your shoulders carry weight that isn't yours. And over time, the suppression itself becomes the wound. Here's how the vow forms: If expressing anger was punished in your early environment — if a raised voice meant danger, if asserting yourself led to abandonment, if conflict taught you that feeling strongly equals being unsafe — your brain made a deal.Suppress the fire. Keep the peace.Disappear if necessary. The internal dialogue cement unconscious vows like … - I must suppress my anger - It's dangerous to be assertive - I must avoid conflict at all costs to be invisible This is your operating system running beneath everything — your relationships, your career, compounding your body's chronic tension. These vows were wise when they very much did feel like protection. They kept you safe in environments that couldn't hold your full power. But you are no longer that small. And the fire does not have to stay buried.I want to be very clear about something: Healthy anger is not violence. It is vitality. It is the part of you that refuses to betray yourself one more time. It is the energy that says this far, no further. It is the force that protects what you love — including yourself. If you've been taught that anger makes you a bad person, then you've been taught to abandon yourself at the first sign of discomfort. And that is not spiritual. That is not evolved. It's just another way of shutting down and disappearing.FLIP IT.Instead, gently turn toward your heart—where the hurt still lives and the lingering anger quietly simmers.I created this 10-minute audio journey to help you meet the part of yourself that carries this fire. Not to unleash it recklessly, but to restore it as a source of strength, clarity, and healthy boundaries. In this frequency-based experience, we explore The Fire of Passion—the RAGE circuit that fuels your assertiveness, courage, and ability to protect what matters. If you've ever struggled to say “no,” stand up for yourself, or express anger without shame, this holds the key.The immersion supports you in:* Releasing chronic people-pleasing and self-abandonment* Reconnecting with healthy anger as a source of vitality* Softening stored tension in the body* Building nervous system safety around assertiveness* Reclaiming your personal power—without aggressionEasily Listen Here. This journey was co-created with our resident intuitive guide, who masterfully works with the 7 emotive circuits that shape your reality. The frequency-based design creates spaciousness in your nervous system—so your natural curiosity can return, free from pressure or performance. After you listen, I invite you to explore the unconscious vows that may still be keeping your fire contained. For just $7/month, you'll receive all 5 guides plus the complete 5-Layer Trauma-Informed healing process. This isn't about becoming more aggressive. It's about coming home to the full spectrum of your aliveness—where healthy anger is no longer the problem…but the power that finally finds its way back to you.And that is the bravest kind of beginning.

"It was like they left to go to the store and were coming right back. There was no reason to believe they were abandoning their home."On 12 August 2023, officers from the Berkeley Police Department in Missouri arrived at a small rental house on Graham Lane, a quiet residential street located just a stone's throw away from St. Louis Lambert International Airport. They were there to conduct a welfare check. Family members of some of the home's residents had been calling, increasingly frantic, unable to reach their loved ones for weeks. When investigators entered the house, they expected the worst. They were bracing themselves for a crime scene. As America's population ages, access to long-term care is becoming an increasingly urgent issue, especially in rural communities. In this episode, Lauren sits down with Dr. Hari Sharma to discuss the growing challenge of nursing home closures in rural America and what those closures mean for patients, families, and communities. While nursing homes have always opened and closed over time, recent years have seen an overall decline in the total number of facilities nationwide, creating new concerns about access to both post-acute and long-term care services. Dr. Sharma explains how researchers measure access to care, why rural communities are particularly vulnerable when facilities close, and what happens when older adults are forced to seek care farther from home. The conversation explores the financial pressures facing nursing homes, workforce shortages, Medicaid reimbursement challenges, and the growing gap between the care rural residents need and the services available to them. The episode also examines potential solutions, including expanding home-based care, investing in assisted living and adult day programs, and reimagining how rural nursing home facilities can serve multiple community needs. Whether you're caring for aging parents, working in healthcare, or simply interested in the future of rural health, this episode offers valuable insight into a challenge that will affect more and more families in the years ahead. In this week's Northwest Florida Fishing Report, host Joe Baya covers a challenging early-summer pattern shaped by heavy rain, dirty "root beer" water, wind, changing bait behavior, inshore trout and redfish tactics, red snapper season, offshore dolphin and shark pressure, mahi around scattered grass, and wahoo opportunities. This episode features Capt. Evan Wheeler with Tall Pines Tight Lines in the Pensacola area and Capt. Tyler Massey with Hot Spots Charters. Capt. Evan Wheeler breaks down the Pensacola inshore report, where recent rain, dirty water, wind, and a lack of visual life have made trout and redfish fishing highly variable. He explains how he reads birds, bait, tides, solunar periods, current, water clarity, boat traffic, and "trout sky" conditions when obvious signs are missing. Evan also talks about prospecting with lures like the MirrOlure 17MR and Slick Junior, adjusting depth as water temperatures climb, and why he prefers releasing speckled trout over 20 inches to protect breeder fish. Capt. Tyler Massey gives the Pensacola offshore report, where red snapper season is off to a solid start when weather allows boats to get out. He explains how sharks and dolphins are affecting state-water and federal-water snapper spots, why anglers may need to make longer moves between areas, and how live bait like cigar minnows and LYs can help produce steady keeper fish. Tyler also discusses targeting larger snapper with big dead baits like Boston mackerel and butterflied white snapper, plus mahi fishing around larger grass patches, scattered grass challenges, and recent wahoo bites around the offshore FADs. It's the world's biggest workplace charity, letting government employees steer money straight from their own paychecks to their chosen charities. It's especially important to charities here because so many feds live here. But the campaign is now on life support — threatened with termination by the Trump administration. The Meraglim were not simple people. They were great leaders, tzaddikim, and respected voices in Klal Yisrael. And yet, the Torah reveals a moment where fear entered the room and began to sound like wisdom. In this shiur, delivered in Tomer Devorah, Rav Burg explores the inner difference between Yehoshua and Calev. Yehoshua is saved through Moshe Rabbeinu's tefillah and the addition of the small letter י, the humble point within a person that refuses to be erased. Calev is saved by leaving the group, going to Chevron, lowering himself at the graves of the Avos, and reconnecting to the roots beneath the fear. What emerges is a powerful understanding of two kinds of smallness. There is the smallness of the Meraglim, who see giants and feel like grasshoppers. And there is the smallness of the י, a humility that remains anchored in Hashem and therefore cannot be intimidated by giants.
You look capable. You hold it all together. But somewhere along the way, you started leaving yourself behind — one small retreat at a time. Vera Knight calls it the half-second exit. Now she helps high-functioning women find their way back to themselves — and in this conversation, she'll help you find yours.

When our skin is cut or damaged, the body immediately starts its healing process to close the wound and limit any risk of infection. It's a wonderful and fascinating process, but nevertheless scars still remain on the skin afterwards. They can be unsightly and visible too, depending on their location, leading to self-consciousness. There are several stages, with the first being hemostasis. Immediately after we get a cut, blood platelets come together to form a blood clot, in order to stop the bleeding. Our blood vessels also contract, to limit blood loss. How does the healing process work? Will the scar be fully gone by that point then? Is there anything we can do to make the skin heal better? In under 3 minutes, we answer your questions! In this episode, we talk about one of the quietest and most underrated phases of ACL recovery: the window after the crutches and brace are gone, but the real work is still very much in progress. We call it the sympathy gap, and it shows up when the visible markers of your injury disappear and the people around you quietly assume the story is over. We share what this phase actually looks like, why it hits so hard, and what you can do to stay grounded when the outside world has moved on, and the inside has not. Whether you are eight weeks post-op or deep into mid-stage rehab, if you have ever answered "I'm good" when you were not, this one is for you.Ways we can connect:My IG: www.instagram.com/ravipatel.dptOur website: www.theaclathlete.comEmail: ravi@theaclathlete.com_________________Submit a topic or a question you'd like me to answer.Check out our website and tons of free ACL resourcesSign up for The ACL Athlete - VALUE Newsletter (an exclusive newsletter packed with value - ACL advice, go-to exercises, ACL research reviews, athlete wins, frameworks we use, mindset coaching, blog articles, podcast episodes, and pre-launch access to some exciting projects we have lined up)1-on-1 Remote ACL Coaching - A clear plan. With her wedding just weeks away, a young woman calls Esther with a question she's been carrying for most of her life: how do you allow yourself joy when you've learned to make yourself small? Growing up alongside a non-speaking autistic brother taught her to be vigilant, self-effacing, and attuned to everyone else's needs. Joy and celebration have always come with guilt. As the wedding approaches, those old patterns threaten to keep her on emotional eggshells during one of the most meaningful days of her life. Together, they explore what it means to grow up as the “easy” child, and how claiming space does not betray the people we love. Esther Callings are a one time, 45-60 minute interventional phone call with Esther. They are edited for time, clarity, and anonymity. If you have a question you would like to talk through with Esther, send a voice memo to producer@estherperel.com. Producer's Note: When our anonymous guests do a session with Esther for the podcast, it is an act of generosity for everyone who listens. Hey Regular Guys and Gals, we made it through another week! How funny, capable, overworked people slowly disappear inside loyalty, guilt, people-pleasing, and being “the strong one.” Why being needed is not the same as being loved. How guilt can become a cage, over-functioning can make you invisible, and people-pleasing is often just anxiety wearing a Hallmark sweater. How some people don't die from drama… they die from swallowing it. Why boundaries aren't cruel, why you don't have to earn rest or tenderness, and how keeping the peace can quietly become self-abandonment with good manners. How a smaller chapter does not mean a smaller life. And why the loneliest people are often the ones smiling, serving, joking, producing, and holding everything together while nobody notices their heart. “You can be kind without becoming furniture.” “Stop bringing your open wound to a closed door.” And why being the one who handles everything is a terrible way to audition for love. RGF Bonus….how Florence Henderson would not let Kev disappear and lessons on recycling for millennials and Gen Z. Bye Betches! In November 1945, a resident of Bennington, Vermont walked into the mountainous forest and never returned. Locals didn't know it at the time but he was about to be the first of MANY disappearances that would take place over the next 5 years. Something was calling these people into the woods, and the second they were out of sight, they disappeared completely… Become a commune member to get access to bonus episodes: https://thisparanormallife.com Follow us on Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube Join our Secret Society Facebook Community Buy Official TPL Merch!
