Happy 102nd Birthday to the late ,yet extremely prodigious, painter and mother, Henrietta Berk. At the age of 40, at on the verge of divorce, with one child in college and the other still in high school, Henrietta began to paint. And did she ever paint. Not only is her art now hanging on the walls of many a famous gallery and private collections, but her legacy lives on in her son, musician, Steven Berk. Next Wednesday, Apparent Artist Podcast brings you an interview with Steven which includes much of Henrietta's story, and how she picked up the brush and painted herself a new life.
