My first guest for 2022 is Wayne Halabura. Wayne has his turned dreams into reality with building 34 incredible hot rods, some of which have competed for the Amber and many of which have found new owners during prime time at Barret Jackson Scottsdale. Wayne was gracious enough to share a few great stories of how so many of these amazing builds came together, and how important people in his life have helped him become the "car guy" he is today! Today I sit down for Part 1 of this podcast with my good friend Tim Roden, who works at a GM dealership. We get a chance to discuss new announcements about micro-chip shortages, where the automotive industry is headed as well as our predictions with electric cars in the future. We also chat about a cool collection of rare and collectible wheels that Tim has. 

This week's episode finds me in the garage of Gary Gryschuk - a long time member of the Saskatoon Shifters Car Club and a big part of the car community in the city. Gary and I get to chat about when his obsession for cars started, some of the cool rides he's had over the years, how he got into the automotive industry and why this past summer was the car show season ever!

This week we shift gears into something a little smaller and lighter. My guest today has been interested in European sports cars his whole life. He's always loved small, great-handling cars despite growing up in Canada in during the Muscle Car era. Collin Cossette owns Action Cycle in Moose Jaw Sk. It remains one of the last true motorcycle shops in the province, run and staffed by enthusiasts. Today we talk about the incredible collection of British and European cars Collin has owned over the years, and we get to discuss some of the fundamentals of the good ole' power to weight ratio.

Darren LaBonte from Rollin' Steel joins me for Part 2 of the podcast to compare and contrast new and old vehicles - what we like and dislike about each. The conclusion... go out and buy an old car!

Rick Van Duyvendyk, the 2nd generation owner of Dutch Growers Garden Center in Saskatoon, joins me to tell the story of one tough truck. A 1953 GMC 9300 truck that has belonged to the garden center since it was new. It served as a work truck until 1978. Now with a new lease on life, it lives a charmed life as a stunning orange resto-mod.

Kelvin Janzen joins me again to relive some hilarious times from his younger years, shared why exactly he loves driving so much and also has a few harrowing tales of some pretty extreme car accidents he's survived. Kelvin Janzen joins me to tell stories of how he got to be a car guy, how he got his driver's licence and more than a couple cool car stories. Rod Deschner joins me to discuss what made him a car guy, his amazing knowledge of so many makes and models, and his incredible collection of over 1000 vehicles. Rod's Hot Rods is now open on Faithful Avenue Saskatoon, and Rod share the process of how he turned his passion into a new business.

Alan Thomas continues his chat with me about just some of the cool cars he's owned over the years and some hilarious stories that go along with them! Alan is all about personalization and customization. If you missed Part 1 of this podcast, best to check it out first.

Jim truly is a car guy, who as a kid fell in love with cars early and turned his passion into his career. Jim had so many stories to tell, we split this podcast into 2 parts! Next time Jim will also talk about some of his most favorite cars and the two in his garage next to us.

Brad Marshall joins me again for Part 2 of this podcast to talk about two amazing cars he's owned. The first held the title for biggest fins on any production car - a 1959 Cadillac Series 62 Brad takes us through how he got the car, and the work needed to restore it. The second car he still has in the garage - a 1971 Oldsmobile 442 W30, which turns out to be a very rare car indeed. Brad share the details of both of these amazing rides!
