Daddy and The Dunce is a podcast that goes through the trials and tribulations of being a Dad. Each episode Ash and Mark will look at some of the hottest topics (or old faithfuls) in parenting and dissect them from the perspective of a Dad, and an Uncle. Ashley has two boys and after the first thought he was a bit of an expert. It wasn't until his second child came along 6 weeks early, and with a range of heart and kidney disabilities did he realise how easy he actually had it. Mark has no children. He does however have nieces and nephews. But he also hasn't been parent-broken yet, so things like poo and kids putting random things in their mouth and then your own is still a little foreign. The different perspectives the two have will probably be poles apart at times, but willalso mean you will be able to relate to at least one of them on most things! At least one Dad Joke per episode guaranteed...

Welcome to the first episode of our brand-new parenting podcast! We add our Dad and Dunce takes to the already over-saturated world of parenting literature and podcasting! In the trailer we heard from Mark and his lack of parenting expertise so we delve a bit deeper into Ashley’s background in this episode and learn a little bit about him as a parent of two boys. Ashley doesn’t hold back when introducing Mark to the world of parenting, kicking it off with one of the bigger topics of the day, “should you let your baby cry it out?”. Ashley gives his opinion on what he has found works and Mark tells it like it is from a non-parents point of view.
