Today we read, Grug Learns To Fly, by Ted Prior.
In this Episode of Flywheel with DeFiDave and KapitalK, we invited on crypto's tastemaker loldefi. We spoke about his transition from fashion to crypto, the differences and similarities between the two industries, the experience of reviewing ICOs, the success of loldefi merch, and the creation of the Who Anon book.https://twitter.com/loldefiTakeawaysThe fashion industry can be exclusive and focused on networking, while the crypto industry is more collaborative and approachable. The ICO boom of 2017 was filled with scams and questionable projects, but also provided opportunities for significant returns. The success of loldefi merch during DeFi Summer demonstrated the strong connection between the crypto community and fashion. The who anon book aims to document the culture and stories of the crypto space in a physical format, providing a unique and tangible experience. The collapse and trial of SPF had a significant impact on the crypto space, highlighting the need for caution and due diligence in the industry.Maintaining a decentralized environment is crucial to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.Branding and compliance play a vital role in building trust and longevity in the crypto industry. The wealth destruction caused by SBF and Caroline serves as a cautionary tale for investors and participants in the space.Individuals involved in the SBF collapse may face legal consequences, and their liability is yet to be determined.Engaging in off-chain activities and hobbies is important for personal well-being and balance in the crypto world.Advice to the younger self includes not letting external pressures define success and embracing the mindset of creating one's own reality.Recommended guests for future episodes include Grug and Rookie, who have unique stories and perspectives to share.~~~~Subscribe to the Flywheel mailing list: https://flywheeldefi.com~~~~Have ETH but don't know what to do with it? This week on the show, we have Tim—our only host with screen acting experience—read from The Grug Brained Developer, "A layman's guide to thinking like the self-aware smol brained". This guide uses fun, caveman'esque language to point out the challenges and missteps that we often take in software development. And, how keeping things simple - for easy smol brain consumption - will often lead to better software outcomes.Follow the show and be sure to join the discussion on Discord! Our website is workingcode.dev and we're @WorkingCodePod on Twitter and Instagram. In this episode I speak with Grug, an anonymous MEV searcher on the Ethereum blockchain. If that sentence made no sense to you, I promise this will be a fun episode. To begin the conversation, Grug explains the basic architecture of the Ethereum blockchain and how its structure allows for the emergence of MEV strategies like sandwich attacks, arbitrage, and liquidations. He discusses some of the criteria he looks for when identifying a profitable MEV strategy and provides examples of some of the long-tail approaches he has deployed in the past as well as some of the risks associated with them. We discuss the pro-cyclical nature of some of these strategies, the role of retail flow, and the edge in being able to deploy rapidly.Grug also provides his thoughts on the impact of alt-L1's and L2's on MEV, airdrop strategies, and the end game of MEV if Ethereum infrastructure becomes too centralized. Please enjoy my conversation with Grug.

After almost two years, DreamMachine is back! In this episode, Arun and Patricia discuss about the 2020 DreamWorks animated film The Croods: A New Age, the sequel to the 2013 film The Croods. The Crood family featuring Grug, Ugga, Eep, Thunk, Sandy, Gran, and Guy are still looking for a place to call home. They then find a paradise filled with food, water, and a large wall of protection that are inhabited by a family called the Bettermans consisting of Phil, Hope, and Dawn. A lot of tension is built up between the Croods and the Bettermans as the Croods are not familiar with domesticated life and the Bettermans prefer for them to go away. In the mix of the problems, Grug is dealing with the fact that Eep and Guy may be going away from the pack to start their own, Phil and Hope wanting Guy to date Dawn, and Phil hiding a secret involving with no one eating bananas. Will all the issues get resolved? When the film premiered, it made $215 million dollars on a $65 million budget with critics giving it mixed to positive reviews saying that it was a slight improvement over the first film, but pretty forgettable with a predictable story, generic characters, and inconsistently funny jokes. Did Arun and Patricia enjoy the film? Was it worth the 7 year wait? Listen and find out. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/old-school-lane/support

Rachel Kennerly of Just Add Liberty and Cannabis Heals Me returns to the stone-age with us to discuss “The Croods” in what may be glimpse of civilization's future if we continue on the current trajectory. An eccentric cave family named the Croods – consisting of Grug, Eep, Ugga, Thunk, Sandy, and Gran – survive several natural disasters, predatory animals and the common cold by sheltering inside a dark cave, merely surviving. Is such a life worth living? Eep is dissatisfied with the over-protective nature of her father Grug “protecting” her from everything. She'd rather a dangerous liberty than a temporarily calm “safety”. Rachel is a lot of fun and we will have a great time discussing this with her. Join us next week as the great, Pete Quinones returns for only his second non-Kevin Costner movie and we delve into some vintage James Woods and talk about “Salvador” directed by Oliver Stone. Show Notes: http://www.lastnighters.com/192 Reel Unconventional Film Analysis. We use movies as a starting point for people who may not be familiar with this way of thinking. The point is to show what anarchy actually is with instances that are presented in film. SUBSCRIBE, RATE AND REVIEW ON APPLE PODCASTS (or iTUNES)
In this episode I'll share a few more principles about how to overcome fear in life. Fear may be a part of life but learning to live a life apart from fear is a destination we can all learn to get to. How do we best do this?...That's what we'll explore in this episode. "Never not be afraid" was the motto of a family known as the Croods, for living their lives until they learned to let go of their fears, follow the light and trust in the promise of a better tomorrow. As a wise cave man father, by the name of Grug once said..."what's the point of all of this?" "It's to follow to the light." This week we have our good friends Kaylie Cacioppo and Gage Schmidt on the podcast to get a different perspective on the roof story from last weeks episode. We also cover Gage's newly discovered power as king of his kind, a trip the four of us took to our local community college, and the time Nathan's antisocial tendencies came to bite him in the ass. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/factually-incorrect/message
