We have begun a new series... drumroll please.... Andor! While the series began officially in August we have been holding off watching and reviewing. We dig into the first three episodes (as that is how they were released on Disney+). We are both in agreement on this one and we jump right in to the Star Wars universe. Join us as we lean into what we loved, what we are hopeful for, and how we feel overall of the newest addition to the Star Wars catalogue on Disney+.If you would like to follow us on social media, you can follow us on Instagram and Twitter at @fantasyawash and on Youtube at Fantasy Awash with Laura and Josh.If you had strong opinions or feeling about this episode, we want to know about it! We have the final episode of season 1 of HBO Max's House of the Dragon and we are left with many feelings. Feelings of trauma, intrigue, slight confusion, and sadness. One of us had a hard time watching this episode and even though that is the case, we both think it was one of the better episodes of the season. Tune in to hear our in-depth book to show comparison and thoughts about how they wrapped up season one with the "Black Queen" of House of the Dragon. If you would like to follow us on social media, you can follow us on Instagram and Twitter at @fantasyawash and on Youtube at Fantasy Awash with Laura and Josh.If you had strong opinions or feeling about this episode, we want to know about it! It is episode 9 of HBO Max's House of the Dragon, and we find that we are let down by the penultimate episode of the season. We discuss the sets, the story (or lack thereof), and what are hopes are for the season finale. One of us (ahem, Laura) was enraged by Criston Cole in this episode and it has only further solidified her allegiance to #teamblack. Also, we get into *THAT* scene. Join us as we deep dive into the Game of Thrones Universe with our talk of what we liked and didn't like in The Green Council. If you would like to follow us on social media, you can follow us on Instagram and Twitter at @fantasyawash and on Youtube at Fantasy Awash with Laura and Josh.If you had strong opinions or feeling about this episode, we want to know about it! We are fired up about this episode, similar to the forges of Cerebrimbor's workshop, but, not in the best ways. We are left feeling let down with the season finale. We feel that we have discovered who the stranger is, and, we have the worst reveal of Sauron that we could have imagined? Join us as we dive in and discuss what we felt was a truly lack-luster finale, and what our hopes had been for the story. If you disagree with us, we want to hear from you! It is possible that Ryan Condal has produced the best episode in the entire Game of Thrones universe and we discuss it at length. However, first we recap episode 7 "Driftmark". Vhagar is front and center. It is official, the Blacks and the Greens have drawn blood and their stances are known, and Viserys is continuing to fall apart. In episode 8, we jump ahead in what is likely the final time jump of the series and see who will be the major players in the Dance of Dragons for the remainder of the series. We meet adult Aemond and the tension between him and Daemon is *chef's kiss*. We discuss it all. It is the penultimate episode, and has much happened? We reunite with most of our characters and honestly, we were hoping to see more of them bite it. After the eruption of the presumed Mount Doom from the last episode, we begin in the aftermath with Galadriel covered in ash. We discuss our feelings of this new addition to the map of Middle Earth, the characters, the plot, and much more. We have a battle sequence or episode. The plot armor is so heavy that our shoulders are hurting from having it thrust upon us. We have what we feel is the worst episode to date. In our last episode, we discussed #hallbraragorn and in this episode we deep dive into #hallbrarauron. Have we met the Sauron character? One of us thinks that we possibly have.Join us as we dig deep into episode 6 of The Rings of Power. Ten years have passed, and there is a lot happening in the Red Keep in Westeros. Rhaenyra has had three children, who all have an interesting look to them. Alicent is no longer our mild daughter of the hand of the King but is officially a Queen with a strong agenda. The lines were drawn in the previous episode between the Greens and the Blacks but the rift and rivalry has only grown deeper since episode 5. It is a strong episode to follow up the last episode of our younger actors, and all in all we are impressed. We discuss what the show did right *ahem, Vhagar*, and a few of the things we did not love. You can follow us on Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube at Fantasy Awash. We are jumping all over Middle Earth in the 5th episode of Amazon Prime's "The Rings of Power". We revisit Adar, and the Southlands, as well as the table of the High King of the Elves. We see the Númenóreans readying themselves to head to Middle Earth, but, not without some troublesome meddling along the way. We have some strong opinions and feelings with this episode. We wished it would have been better. Find out our specific critics in this episode of Fantasy Awash with Laura and Josh. We are officially halfway through the season, and we are all cordially invited to a very green wedding. A marriage has been proposed, and accepted. We see Runestone, We see Driftmark and High Tide, as well as a highly decorated banquet hall in this episode. Relationships are expressed, lies are exposed, and lines are officially drawn between the Greens and the Blacks. There is a lot going on in what we feel was the best episode yet. Tune in to hear our breakdown of episode 5 "We Light the Way" of HBO's House of the Dragon.Want to know what to read or watch next? It is episode 4 of Amazon Prime's "The Rings of Power". There is a lot going on in this episode. Possible ring wraith origins, premonitions in Numenor, and a figure named "Adar", are all explored. We have some strong opinions about this episode. One of us loved it, while the other not so much. The world and its stories are becoming more intricate and complex, and there are definite connections to other stories that we are familiar with in Middle Earth. We are officially halfway through season one. What did we think of the episode this week? Tune in and find out!If you have strong opinions about the episode, we'd love to hear them! We are on opposite ends of the spectrum for this episode. One of us liked it, while the other really did not. We see the return of Daemon to King's Landing. We see the pursuit of suitors. We see some cosplaying, some silence, and a lot of T&A. We are nearing halfway through season one of HBOs House of the Dragon. What did we like about this episode, which characters and their actors stood out. Lastly, what questions were finally addressed from the Book Fire and Blood in the newest episode, "King of the Narrow Sea"? We are three episodes in to Amazon Prime's The Rings of Power, and we are absolutely loving it. This week, we return to see Galadriel awake aboard a mysterious ship headed to a realm that is highly reminiscent of Atlantis (for multiple reasons). We see orcs, we see wargs, we see new characters (and in fact some very old characters). How do we feel about it? Overall, we are really enjoying it, but, definitely have some opinions about where we think the show is going and where it could possibly improve. In this episode, we have jumped in time once again (not with the help of our trusty Doctor, Matt Smith). Three years have passed since our last episode and while many things have changed, it is clear, that in many ways, not much has changed. The plotting, conniving, and debauchery continues within the Targaryen family all the while the line of succession continues to be questioned. We are introduced to some newer and older characters, as well as our third dragon. What were our thoughts and insights into this episode? Was it our fave or quite possibly our least favorite episode to date.? In this episode of Fantasy Awash with Laura and Josh, we jump in and dissect the first episode of HBO's House of the Dragon. What were the pros and cons of the episode? How did we feel the story moved along? Did Matt Smith or Paddy Considine live up to our expectations? We compare the world we know of Game of Thrones to this slightly familiar but relatively new world by assessing the costumes, the scenes, THAT scene, and the characters as a whole.
