We're wrapping up a great year for Star Wars and Rebel Force Radio as we celebrate the season with friends and family. Noted and acclaimed Star Wars author/illustrator Christopher J. Sorrentino aka "Baby Belushi" ("Nerdy, Dirty, and Tasteless Star Wars Jokes IV") joins us for the whole show as we look back at the Star Wars year that was. We break down everything of importance that happened in Star Wars and RFR throughout 2025. From Skeleton Crew to Andor to The Hunt for Ben Solo and all stops in between, we review it all. Keeping within the family theme of the holidays, Dylan McInerney joins us In The Cantina. RFR interviewed Dylan Mac 15 years ago after he watched The Original Trilogy for the first time when he was just 7 years old. Now, Dylan returns to RFR to answer the same questions we originally asked him back in 2010. How have his answers and opinions changed over the years and how have they stayed the same? Join us to find out! Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year from your Star Wars pals at Rebel Force Radio! See you in 2026!
Tony Gilroy examines how Andor portrays authoritarian power as a bureaucratic system, the moral compromises of life under surveillance, and the role ordinary people play in enforcing oppressive systems.
Nick welcomes Hollywood Reporter TV critic Dan Fienberg back for a packed conversation that jumps from recent SNL episodes to the new documentary “Breakdown: 1975,” along with a thoughtful look at the long, influential career of Rob Reiner. Dan also unveils his picks for the Best Television of 2025, spotlighting standouts like “The Lowdown,” “Andor,” “Pluribus,” “Adolescence,” and several others that made the year feel unusually strong for TV. The show closes with pure chaos as British bon vivant and game show impresario Slap Slapply makes his triumphant return. Nick and Esmeralda Leon square off in another round of wildly unpredictable trivia, trading correct answers, bad guesses, and plenty of mock outrage. It's loud, competitive, and exactly the kind of madness Slap was built for, making it a fitting way to wrap up the year. [Ep 414]

We welcome Nick Patch of Strange Pages. He's creating a 64 issue comic book series featuring Roy Beckwith, an adveture through the cursed continent. And you can be in on the action through the Kickstarter (kickstarter.com/projects/demon). While we discuss that project, our agenda was to discuss J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle Earth epics. Especially, Lord of the Rings. So of course we start with Game of Thrones. After covering plenty of Westeros fun, we turn to Endor and Andor and Middle Earth. Is it Biblical? Is it the first modern fictional epic? Where did Tolkien draw his inspiration? Was this a story about good v evil, or about industrialization and WW1? Maybe some of all. We'll talk about Frodo, Gandolf and the gang. I'll nitpick but rationalize away my nitpicks. Only to nitpick again. So, come into the world of numbers and magic and rings.

Pozvanie do relácie prijal bezpečnostný odborník a generál vo výslužbe Andor Šándor.
In this episode, the Dungeon Crawlers Radio team dives deep into the state of the galaxy far, far away. The hosts debate the intense fan backlash against recent Star Wars projects like The Acolyte and Andor, asking a critical question: Is the problem bad writing or toxic fandom? They challenge the notion that content creators are to blame for recent failures, arguing that the quality of the story and allegiance to the source material are the real culprits. Plus, we analyze George Lucas's original trilogy, discussing why he was a master world-builder but a flawed storyteller, and why the Disney era needs to remember Star Wars' gritty, "Old West" roots to succeed.
This week on the podcast it's more Andor coverage as Paul, Kieran and I tackle the first Ghorman arc comprised of the episodes 'Ever Been to Ghorman?', 'I Have Friends Everywhere' and 'What a Festive Evening'.
I don't know, we might be getting a little too old for this sh*t, or maybe we just had a hard time stretching it (do do doodoo) either way we do talk some Star Wars, discuss some other shows we've been watching, and invent a new platform called the Apple Piecast. They are: Alvin and the Chipmunks, ‘The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don't Be Late)' Elmo and Patsy, ‘Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer'NewSong, ‘The Christmas Shoes' Jessica and Ashlee Simpson, ‘The Little Drummer Boy' New Kids on the Block, ‘Funky Funky Xmas' 'USA Today' called their number one pick for worst Christmas song "the novelty song from Hell."Sure there's those annoying Christmas songs we hear every year . . . but let's take it up a notch with Christmas carols from HELL. 1. "Here Comes Santa Claus" by Mrs. Miller. She was discovered by the announcer from "Laugh-In", which should tell you all you need to know.2. "Silent Night" by Wing. Wing Han Tsang was from Hong Kong and started singing as a hobby when she moved to New Zealand. Surprisingly, she made it kinda big. "South Park" even parodied her back in the day.3. "White Christmas" by Tiny Tim. There's also "Silent Night", featuring a spoken-word break where he takes aim at hypocrites, fornicators, and child molesters. You know, just regular Christmas caroler stuff. 4. "Little Drummer Boy" by William Hung. Isn't it crazy to think there's a whole generation who has no idea who this "American Idol" treasure is? 5. "I Got a Cold for Christmas" by the Three Stooges. Not terrible, but not exactly a classic.6. "Jingle Bells" by William Shatner, featuring Henry Rollins. Yes, THAT Henry Rollins.7. "Santa Claws Is Coming to Town" by Alice Cooper, featuring John 5, Billy Sheehan, and Vinny Appice. 8. "The Night Before Christmas" by David Hasselhoff. This one is extra cheesy, but did you expect anything less?9. "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" by Regis Philbin. This one has a cameo by a pre-Oval Office Donald Trump, who offers Rudolph a job in place of Santa.10. "Jingle Hell" by Christopher Lee. Yes, one of the greatest actors of all time. He dabbled in heavy metal later in life. This actually isn't his only holiday song, either. He also did covers of "The Little Drummer Boy" and "Silent Night".11. "Away in a Manger" by the Brady Bunch. This one only features the vocal talents of Marcia, a.k.a. Maureen McCormick. It's from an album called "Merry Christmas from the Brady Bunch".See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Welcome to the place where I get to let my geek flag fly and talk about all things geek. Basically a fuzzy guide to life, the universe, and everything but mostly geek stuff. This is where I look into the world of geekdom and some geek news, comics, The Simpsons, Star Wars, and whatever randomness finds its way onto the recording. This level of the podcast is another conversation all about the surprising and shocking moments in comics, movies, and TV. We did one of these back in Spetember 2021 (Level 262) but it was time to go back and chat about those images and things that just make geeks go… OOF! Whether you cheer, cry, cringe, or try to scrub the images from your memory… this was a bunch of moments I think you'll agree were big surprises. Andor is officially the most expensive Star Wars project to date, IN HISTORY, even with George Lucas era in the mix. 705M for Andor is insane. Kenobi got only a 90M budget in comparison, while the sequels were roughly in The Acolyte territory of cost over 200M. Who is making these decisions up there at Disney and Lucasfilm? How can Andor of all shows get almost 8x Kenobi? How can it be more expensive than Solo with all the reshoots included? Tax cuts, in my opinion, from this Forbes article, is why... But then why not Kenobi? Why no the sequels? Surely Andor couldn't have been THAT expensive compared to all the other massive team led projects Disney Star Wars has had... This is even more expensive than the Mandalorian. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Frank is joined by Sylvie for a dive into Star Wars: Andor from the perspective of a casual fan who suddenly finds herself all-in on the Rebellion. Why the show works without Jedi or lightsabers, how its politics feel uncomfortably current, and what makes characters like Dedra, Cyril, and Mon Mothma so magnetic. Watching Rogue One after Andor, the joy of discovering the connections in reverse, and why this corner of Star Wars hits differently. Cheers! Everybody loves a good origin story, but not every story is worth retelling. The real skill is knowing when to evolve, not repeat. That's the lesson of Andor, the Star Wars series that turned subtle storytelling into a strategy for lasting relevance. In this episode, we explore its B2B marketing takeaways with the help of our special guest Rachel Sterling, CMO of Identity Digital. Together, we break down what B2B marketers can learn from spotting product fatigue early, tailoring stories for evolving audiences, and creating content that sparks conversation, not just clicks.About our guest, Rachel SterlingRachel Sterling serves as Chief Marketing Officer where she is focused on expanding Identity Digital's impact on driving awareness and adoption of our top level domain portfolio. Prior to joining Identity Digital, Rachel held senior leadership positions at Proximie, Instagram, Twitter, and Google where she developed impactful strategies around product, integrated, content, and event marketing.Rachel also possesses a creative background, spending the first eight years of her career working in TV production and post-production. Rachel lives in Belmont, CA with her husband and two children. What B2B Companies Can Learn From Andor:Recognize when the story has run its course. Just like Disney realized Luke Skywalker's arc had reached its limits, Rachel ties that lesson to brand fatigue. Audiences, like customers, eventually want something new. As she puts it: “Their main characters had been exhausted… you have to consistently monitor for user sentiment.” Andor worked because it didn't cling to nostalgia; it built from a blank slate. In B2B, that means knowing when your message or product line has hit its ceiling and having the courage to reinvent before your audience tunes out.Segment for meaning, not just demographics. Disney didn't make Andor for everyone. It made it for the fans who grew up with A New Hope. Rachel explains: “By exploring more mature themes, you're building content specifically for the core audience that had been there since the very beginning.” The same rule applies in B2B. As your audience evolves, so should your tone, themes, and depth. Mature buyers crave nuance; new ones need accessibility. Build the right story for the right segment, and you'll meet each generation where they are, not where they were.Make content that talks back. Rachel points out that Andor isn't a passive show. It demands engagement long after the credits roll. As she says: “Content no longer exists in a passive experience… The sign of a good show is when you can engage in conversation beyond just a simple, ‘that was good.'” In B2B, the same holds true. The best content doesn't just get attention; it gets people talking, sharing, and connecting around a shared idea. Don't settle for applause, aim for conversation that keeps your brand in motion.Quote“Just because you feel affinity for the product does not mean that people will continue to share that affinity. I definitely think that marketers, from seeing the decision that Disney made to Greenlight Andor, can take away the message [to] understand when you have product fatigue.”Time Stamps[00:55] Meet Rachel Sterling, Chief Marketing Officer at Identity Digital[01:51] Why Andor?[03:36] The Role of CMO at Identity Digital[04:45] What is Andor?[22:32] B2B Marketing Lessons from Andor[42:14] Identity Digital's Brand and Content Strategy[45:52] Advice for First-Time CMOs[48:27] Final Thoughts and TakeawaysLinksConnect with Rachel on LinkedInLearn more about Identity DigitalAbout Remarkable!Remarkable! is created by the team at Caspian Studios, the premier B2B Podcast-as-a-Service company.
