Send us a textReek/Theon helps secure Moat Cailin for the Boltons. His ironborn brothers pay the ultimate price. Ramsay meets his new bride-to-be, but Theon sees through the Bolton ruse. Today Simon and Mackelly discuss difficult topics such as torture and self-harm. Please seek help for yourself or reach out to a friend who might be struggling with thoughts of self-harm.Chapter Review:Reek has been cleaned up and is pretending to be a prince of the Iron Islands. He is granted admission to Moat Cailin where he discovers his countrymen in a sorry state. They're sick, tired, and losing hope. They recognize Theon for what he was (Balon Greyjoy's son) and what he is (Ramsay's dog). He offers them terms: stay and die or be fed, treated, and freed to return to the Stony Shore. He has intel that Victarion is not coming back and that they've been abandoned and forgotten. This last silences dissent and the men agree. Only 63 men leave the towers to the incredulity of Ramsay's forces who felt they'd been fighting far more. Theon has a flash of pride for the ironborn.Ramsay is pleased with Theon and rewards him with meat, wine, and an upgrade in his quarters. Three days later Roose Bolton arrives with his new wife Walda Frey and Ramsay's fiancée Arya Stark. Reek recognizes Jeyne Poole by the eyes and the meek compliance.Characters/Places/Names/Events:Reek - Broken shell of Theon Greyjoy.Ramsay Bolton - Newly legitimized son of Roose Bolton. Nasty piece of work.Roose Bolton - Lord of the Dreadfort and Warden of the North.Arya Stark - Youngest daughter of Ned and Catelyn Stark. Princess of Winterfell.Jeyne Poole - Daughter of the former steward of Winterfell Vayon Poole. Captured by the Lannisters and now being paraded as Arya Stark.Moat Cailin - Ancient stronghold within the Neck. Protects the north from attack from the south. Lying far to the south of Westeros and Essos are the Summer Isles, representing the most southwesterly peoples of the known world. Famed for their shipbuilding and navigation skills, the Summer Islanders are also a unique culture in part due to their relative isolation and favorable geography. Despite this, they have a history with Valyria, Sothoryos and places unknown to Westeros. They might be the only culture we know of without memory or evidence of the Long Night, and they've come up at key times in the story for Sam, Daenerys and others. Notable characters include Jalabhar Xho, Quhuru Mo, Kojja Mo, Xhondo Dhoru, Black Balaq, Tal Toraq, Chataya, Alayaya, Alleras/Sarella Sand, and Bellegere Otherys.Bonus Eps & More - www.patreon.com/historyofwesterosShirts & Stickers - historyofwesteros.threadless.comwww.historyofwesteros.comIntro/Maps - https://klaradox.deFacebook Group - https://bit.ly/howfbDiscord - https://bit.ly/howdiscordNina - goodqueenaly.tumblr.com/

They began as King's men on a mission - what seemed a clear cut case of heroes vs. villains. Even after the death of King Robert, the Brotherhood Without Banners remained a model of honor and duty, serving the common folk instead. But time and deprivation wore on them, and they slowly lost their sense of purpose, justice… and their humanity. Quite literally in 2 cases. This is their tragic, surprisingly supernatural story from Beric to Stoneheart, with theories on what's to come for this outlaw band captained by the undead and guided by prophecy.Rize: https://rize.io/?via=WESTEROS & code WESTEROS3 - 25% off on all payments within first 3 months!Steven Attewell - racefortheironthrone.wordpress.comBonus Eps & More - www.patreon.com/historyofwesterosShirts & Stickers - historyofwesteros.threadless.comwww.historyofwesteros.comIntro/Maps - https://klaradox.deFacebook Group - https://bit.ly/howfbDiscord - https://bit.ly/howdiscordNina - goodqueenaly.tumblr.com/

It's time for another Mind Gap Podcast! This week, Doug and Justin tackle an opening question that is the embodiment of Justin's nightmares. You're offered your dream house, but it comes with a tarantula the size of a small dog…do you take it? After shaking off that thought experiment, the guys shift to their main topic: if you were dropped into various fantasy worlds, what would be your chances of survival? The dorks about what they'd bring to survive in places like Middle Earth, Westeros, Forgotten Realms, The Wizarding World, and the Land of Oz. Things are wrapped up with another round of the movie clip guessing game, where Doug plays clips from different movies and Justin does his best to guess which films they're from. Check out our YouTube channel where we livestream our new podcast episodes every Tuesday at 8pmCT and our video game stream every Saturday at 8pmCT. In desperation, Bran takes control of Hodor and the combination of castle-forged steel, 7ft of bemuscled automaton, and Bran's laser-focus on staying alive alleviates the immediate danger. But the day is only won because a Child of the Forest intervenes to set the wights aflame. Dire Wolves Are Howling Again—For Real This Time Nope, this isn’t a fan-fiction plot twist. Colossal Biosciences, a genetic engineering company known as “The De-Extinction Company,” has just announced the successful de-extinction of the dire wolf, the massive canine made famous by Game of Thrones. Using DNA pulled from two fossil samples and combining it with 20 precise gene edits to a gray wolf (the dire wolf’s closest living cousin), researchers have created a living, breathing version of the prehistoric predator. While not a perfect clone, it’s the closest science has ever come to reviving an extinct species—and it's officially the first de-extinct animal to walk the Earth again. And yes, it howls. Actor Steve Toussaint, known for his role as Lord Corlys Velaryon in House of the Dragon, may have inadvertently confirmed a major casting decision for the upcoming third season. In a now-deleted Instagram post, Toussaint shared a cast list for House of the Dragon Season 3, Episode 4, revealing the inclusion of Prince Daeron Targaryen—a character long speculated to appear in the show. The post was quickly taken down, but not before fan accounts captured and circulated screenshots across social media platforms. The list also included Lady Jeyne Arryn, a character who briefly appeared in Season 2, suggesting an expanded role in the upcoming season.Daeron Targaryen is the youngest son of King Viserys I and Alicent Hightower, making him the younger brother of King Aegon II, Queen Helaena, and Prince Aemond. Unlike his siblings, Daeron was sent to be fostered by House Hightower in Oldtown, a decision made to solidify the family's influence in Westeros. Though absent from the first two seasons, his existence has been subtly acknowledged in dialogue, most notably in a conversation between Alicent and her brother, Ser Gwayne Hightower. In Fire & Blood, the novel by George R.R. Martin that serves as the basis for the series, Daeron is known to be a skilled dragon-rider, bonded with Tessarion, a blue-scaled she-dragon. While details about her age and growth differ in the source material, she is expected to be large enough for battle by the time the Targaryen civil war—known as the Dance of the Dragons—reaches its peak.Daeron's arrival is a significant development in the ongoing struggle between Rhaenyra and Aegon II for the Iron Throne. With another dragon-rider entering the fray, the balance of power may shift dramatically. His presence could also deepen the internal conflicts within House Hightower and the Targaryen factions.Additionally, Toussaint's leaked cast list hints at other notable absences and inclusions. Episode 4 will reportedly omit major players such as Prince Aemond, Otto Hightower, and Addam Velaryon, while featuring Lady Jeyne Arryn. If Jeyne plays a more substantial role, this could indicate increased focus on the Vale and its strategic importance in the war. This is not the first time House of the Dragon has faced early leaks. Casting confirmations and behind-the-scenes photos frequently surface online, fueling speculation about future plotlines. While HBO has yet to officially announce Daeron's casting, Toussaint's deleted post serves as the strongest evidence yet of his upcoming debut.Season 3 of House of the Dragon is currently in production, with a release date expected in 2026 on HBO and Max.Who is Daeron Targaryen? What This Means for Season 3A Pattern of Early Reveals

New Chapter Alert! We thought the last one was long... Well, this new one is in a whole new realm of chapter girth. We are taking 'The Long Reign, Jaehaerys and Alysanne: Policy, Progeny and Pain' little bit by little bit so we can cover it all in the depth we enjoy, without ruining ours and everyone's lives by making a 48 hour episode you have to listen to.In this instalment we head off and away from Kings Landing, following in the steps of curious adventurers. We leave behind Targaryens and dragons swapping them for the Hightowers and a certain Alys Westhill. But don't worry this episode is teeming with monsters of all sorts including krakens, leviathans and mystery beasts. We've also got Biblical storms, Greek mythology, gene splicing, and a whole host of tropical diseases we are sure GRRM enjoyed naming.Get in touch with any questions or comments. We hope you enjoy!
How about that Superman Trailer....people need to chill. Is Bioware doomed? Is Xbox really going to change to publishing? The Oscars controversy continues, and Robert Eggers is heading to the land of Labyrinth, which I miss David Bowie even more. Also Fans need to chill, for real....
