Does Man Control His Own Fate?

Play Episode Listen Later May 12, 2021 4:37

Intro Since God has led you to this point,He has made arrangements that are fit.If He told you His plans and aims, would you honestly know these things? Verse 1 God is well acquainted with thoughts coming from man's mind, his heart's wish.Who has never looked for ways out? Who's never thought of their prospects? Yet though man's possessed of a rich and a dazzling intellect, who could predict, after the ages, the present would turn out like this? Is this fruit of your own efforts? Payment for your tireless strain? Is it the beautiful tableau that your mind has portrayed? Chorus Who of the whole of mankind is not cared for in the Almighty's eyes? Who doesn't live in the midst of what the Almighty destined? Whose birth, death come from their choice? Whose birth, death come from their choice? Does man control his own fate? Verse 2 Without God's leading, who'd have a way outside of what He has arranged? Is it man's imaginings and wishes that have brought him to today? Many live life, their hopes unmet. Is it due to faults in their thoughts? Many live with unforeseen joy.Is this from not wanting a lot? Many people cry out for death, yet it is far away from them. Many wish to be strong, fearing death, yet it draws near, consuming them.Chorus Who of the whole of mankind is not cared for in the Almighty's eyes? Who doesn't live in the midst of what the Almighty destined? Whose birth, death come from their choice? Whose birth, death come from their choice? Does man control his own fate? Bridge Many wail, sob, look to the skies. Many fall to what tempts, fail trials.God doesn't appear before man,but many fear to behold Him,afraid that He will strike them down.Does man truly know Him or not? Does man truly know? Chorus Who of the whole of mankind is not cared for in the Almighty's eyes? Who doesn't live in the midst of what the Almighty destined? Whose birth, death come from their choice? Verse 1 Though the outpouring of God's wrath is one side of His righteousness,He does consider His target and does always have principle.God is never quick to anger, nor rashly shows wrath, majesty. His wrath's controlled, and is measured, unlike man's flaring rage, anger.Chorus The wrath of God is a display and a genuine expression of His righteous disposition, revealing His holy substance.Verse 2 The release of the wrath of God doesn't express or vent His mood, not a full eruption of rage,as man is likely to assume.God doesn't release all His wrath 'cause He can't control His own mood,or 'cause His anger has reached boiling point, must be vented soon.Chorus The wrath of God is a display and a genuine expression of His righteous disposition, revealing His holy substance.Verse 3 God's wrath tolerates no offense, but His anger is principled, can distinguish among causes. But corrupt mankind cannot do this.Man flares in anger, vents emotions, all to defend sin's existence. These actions are the ways for man to express dissatisfaction.Bridge Man's actions brim with defilement. They brim with schemes and corruption, brim with intrigues and with evil, and wild desires, ambitions.Chorus The wrath of God is a display and a genuine expression of His righteous disposition, revealing His holy substance.Outro When wickedness contests justice, man won't get angry and defend justice. If justice has threats,is attacked, man will overlook, evade, flinch. But when facing evil forces, man will cater, will bow and scrape. So man's venting is an escape for evil forces,it shows man's evil is hard to contain.Adapted from The Word Appears in the Flesh

Verse 1 There is something in God's essence that's too easily overlooked, possessed only by God,and by no human being no matter how good or how great, nor by the God that they imagine. What is this thing? It is God's selflessness.Verse 2 You might think you're selfless for you don't haggle with your children,or you might think you're selfless when it comes to your parents. But man is just too selfish to be able to see God's selflessness among all people, all things, and the work of His hands.Chorus 1 Man's selflessness is for himself; God's selflessness is His own essence,it is His essence.Because of God's selflessness,He will always provide for man, provide for man.Verse 3 Man lives in a material world. You may follow God,but you never see how He provides for and loves, and how He cares for you.You see your blood family who love you devotedly, you care about the things and the people you love, and call this selflessness.Bridge Such selfless people aren't concerned about the God that gives them life, gives them life.In contrast to that of God's,man's selflessness is selfish and despicable,it is despicable. The selflessness man believes in is empty and impure. It is incompatible,it is unrelated to God.Chorus 1 Man's selflessness is for himself; God's selflessness is His own essence,it is His essence.Because of God's selflessness,He will always provide for man, provide for man.Verse 4 You might not fully grasp this, and you just nod your approval. But if you'd see God's heart, maybe you will learn among all that's in the world, only God's selflessness is real.Only God's love is pure and unconditional.Chorus 2 Man's selflessness is for himself; God's selflessness is His own essence,it is His essence. For anyone but God,all selflessness is false, with a purpose and a tradeoff. It is unable to stand a test.God's selflessness is His essence,it is His essence.Adapted from The Word Appears in the Flesh

Verse 1 Although God is possessed of power and authority, His authority is real and true, not empty. The authenticity and reality of His power's revealed gradually, and embodied in His creation and control of all that is, and the process by which man He leads and manages. Chorus God's power and authority are revealed in all things constantly. These revelations show His authority exists, for He uses His power and His authority to continue His work and to command and rule over all things. His power can't be replaced by His messengers or angels. He's the only One who exerts power and authority. This brooks no doubt from all humanity. Verse 2 Every method, perspective and detail of God's reign over mankind, the universe and all things therein, all the work He's carried out and His knowledge of all serve as proof that's doubtless and literal of the fact that God's power and authority are real and true things, and not words ringing emptily. Bridge Messengers and angels seem to have great power. They might have made miracles happen or done things entrusted by God, but in the end, they just completed God's commission. Their acts were not proof that they possessed an authority like God's. For nothing else has power like His that creates and rules all that was, will be, and is. Nothing can exert or show forth God's power. Chorus God's power and authority are revealed in all things constantly. These revelations show His authority exists, for He uses His power and His authority to continue His work and to command and rule over all things. Verse 1 God allows man to manage all things and to have lordship over them. But man cannot keep things as God has created. He's done the opposite, he's destroyed it. Man has moved the mountains, reclaimed land from the seas. He's turned plains into deserts, where none can live. And in place of the beauty of God's creation, man has placed industry, ruining everything. Pre-chorus 1 Now rivers are no longer rivers, and the sea is no longer the sea. Chorus Man's attitude to all things should be: to treasure them, to protect them, to make efficient use of them. Man cannot exist separately from the rest of creation. That's not what man's attitude should be. Verse 2 So once man has broken the balance of what God has created, the natural environment and its rules. Not far is his day of death and disaster. That day is coming and it's inevitable. When that day comes, man will have realized the value of all God made for him and see its importance. Living in a land of timely winds and rains is just like paradise. But man doesn't recognize this blessing. But when lost, they'll see in that moment just how rare and how precious it is. Chorus Man's attitude to all things should be: to treasure them, to protect them, to make efficient use of them. Man cannot exist separately from the rest of creation. That's not what man's attitude should be. Verse 3 Once it is gone, how would one ever get it back, if God doesn't wish to intervene? Man's only solution? Stop the destruction! Then the environment may rebalance itself. Putting an end to all this destruction will stop the plunder and the devastation. Doing so would bring recovery of all the things that God has created. But failure will make it even worse for the environment of all life on the earth whose destruction would quicken over time. Chorus Man's attitude to all things should be: to treasure them, to protect them, to make efficient use of them. Man cannot exist separately from the rest of creation. While this exchange is a brief one, it is brimming with the Creator's care for mankind and His reluctance to give him up. These words express the true attitude and feelings that God holds within His heart for His creation, and with these clear-cut words, the likes of which are rarely heard by man, God states His true intentions for humanity. 1 The Creator is among man at all times. He is always in conversation with man and the entirety of all creation. And He is performing new deeds every day. His essence and disposition are expressed, they are conveyed in His dialogue with man. His thoughts and ideas are revealed completely. Yes, they are shown completely in His deeds. He accompanies and observes mankind at all times, speaks quietly to mankind and all of creation with His silent words. God is in the heavens, amongst His creation. He is keeping watch, and He is waiting. He is at your side. He has never ever left, nor has He ever vanished. Day and night, He's with man. He is mankind's constant companion. 2 His devoted care and special affection that He spends on all of humanity, as well as His true concern and love for man, all came to light in a gradual way when He saved the city of Nineveh. You'll know truly what it means to believe and follow His heart all the way. III If you cling to the past and reject or deny God's second incarnation, you will remain empty-handed, have nothing, and be guilty of opposing Him. Obey the truth, submit to His work, and come under God's second incarnation, the Almighty, be offered His personal guidance. You will have more, see a higher truth, and receive the real human life, behold visions never seen before. IV When God becomes flesh, He shows His disposition through chastisement and judgment. With this foundation, He brings more truth, shows more ways to practice. And this conquers man, saves him from his corrupt disposition. This is what lies behind the work of God in the Age of Kingdom. You'll feel you've finally seen God, face to face. from Preface to The Word Appears in the Flesh

I God is resolute in His actions. God's purposes and principles, they're always clear and transparent. They are all pure and flawless, with absolutely no ruses or schemes intermingled within. In other words, the substance of God contains no darkness, contains no evilness. II When people's wicked acts offend God, He will bring His anger down upon them, unless they truly repent before Him. When people continue to oppose God, His wrath will never cease, till they are destroyed. This is God's disposition. In other words, God's mercy or wrath is based on man's deeds and his attitude towards God. III If God continues to subject one person to His wrath, this person's heart doubtlessly opposes God, because he has never truly repented, bowed down his head before God, or possessed true belief in God. He has never obtained God's mercy and tolerance. IV If one often receives God's care and obtains His mercy and tolerance, then this person doubtlessly has true belief in God in his heart. And his heart is not opposed to God. He often repents to God. Even if God's discipline descends upon this person, His wrath shall not. In other words, God's mercy or wrath is based on man's deeds and his attitude towards God. from "God Himself, the Unique II" in The Word Appears in the Flesh

I God's Spirit holds authority over every single thing. His flesh with His substance, the power is still the same. God in flesh can still perform His many works to do. He simply does His Father's will. And God is Spirit, He can save all mankind, and so can God in flesh. God does His own work. II It's something that could never be dreamed or achieved by any man. God is, He is authority, but His flesh can submit to it. This is the real meaning of "Christ obeys the will of the Father." And God is Spirit, He can save all mankind, and so can God in flesh. God does His own work. III God won't disturb His own work, nor will He conflict with it. Work of the Spirit and the flesh are alike. They fulfill the same will and the same work. Despite different qualities, their substances are identical. Both have the essence and identity of God. And God is Spirit, He can save all mankind, and so can God in flesh. God does His own work. And God is Spirit, He can save all mankind, and so can God in flesh. God does His own work. from "The Substance of Christ Is Obedience to the Will of the Heavenly Father" in The Word Appears in the Flesh

All Under the Creator's Authority Is Utterly Perfect 1 All the things that God has made, everything that can move and everything that can't, like birds and fish, flowers and trees, livestock, insects and wild animals, they were all good with God, and in the eyes of God, in accordance with His plan, were at the height of perfection, achieving all the things God wished they would achieve. 2 Step by step He did the work, all the work that He meant to do toward His plan. And one after another, the things He intended to create appeared. Each of them is a reflection and result of His authority. And because of these, all creatures couldn't help but be so thankful for the grace of the Creator, so thankful for the provision of the Creator. 3 As the amazing deeds of God began to manifest themselves, this world, it swelled piece by piece with all of the many things created by God. And it changed from chaos, and it changed from darkness to clarity and brightness, from stillness to liveliness, deathly stillness to endless vitality. 4 Among all things of creation, from amongst the greatest to the very small, from the small to the microscopic, there was none not created by the Creator's authority, by the Creator's power. There was unique, inherent necessity and value to the existence of each and every creature. No matter what shape and structure they have, they all exist under His authority. 5 Under the Creator's authority, all creatures shall play a new symphony for His reign, commence a prelude for His work of the new day. And it is at that moment, the Creator also shall open up a new page in the work of His management. Yes, the Creator shall open up a new page. 6 Yes, according to the law of the shoots of spring, the ripening of summer, autumn's harvest, winter's storage, all of which assigned by the Creator, all things shall echo with God's own management plan, shall welcome their own new day, new beginning, new life course. They shall soon reproduce in endless succession, so they may welcome in each new day, under the reign of His authority. All is utterly perfect. from The Word Appears in the Flesh
