Hollysnark (with a side of Bauble)

Here in the shoulder season between Christmas and Christmas and July we're exploring another great trope and reviewing Royally Ever After.  Have you ever found out your boyfriend was a prince and weren't sure how to feel about it?  We'll help you untangle those complex feelings and show you what fork to use as we bring you yet another illuminating episode.

After a short break to recover from the Christmas rush we're back with a non-holiday Hallmark full of puppy goodness (although one of us thinks it has more goodness than the other does).  We're reviewing Eat, Play, Love and you'll be excited to see an appearance from two of Holly's childhood heroes in cameo roles in this gem of a movie.

After an amazing save by our tech team (Holly's husband), we managed to actually get this recording posted.  This week we're heading to Belgium and reviewing The Perfect Setting, in which you'll hear our opinions on quintessential Belgian things like diamonds and cranky bankers. 

This is as close as we're going to get to a Valentine's Day special.  In this episode we review Polar Opposites in which we learn a lot about penguins and how to find a penguin of one's own.  Which is more romantic than you would think.

Top of the morning, or some other appropriately stereotypical Irish greeting.  This week we bring you the delights of Ireland in the most Irish of Irish Hallmarks, As Luck Would Have It.  We also mention in passing some other gems ('Tis the Season to Be Irish, which is great) and Love of the Irish (more of a cubic zirconia than a diamond) and give you the ultimate travel guide to Ireland.

Well, it had to happen.  They can't all be hits.  This certainly isn't.  I'm talking about the movie, of course - as usual our podcast is tip top.  This episode we bring you Private Princess Christmas and here's hoping 2025 gets better from here!

Keeping it classy, we're bringing you another Hallmark hit with The Santa Class.  And with that, we'll be back next year!  Which is just a few days, because we just can't stop.  Or at least one of us can't stop and won't let the other one stop.  

Merry Christmas!  OK, not quite yet, but we're so close we think it counts.  And for this most Hallmark time of the year we have a gift for you - Three Wiser Men and a Boy, the sequel to last year's Three Wise Men and a Baby (which we deemed the best of 2024).

In which we are LIVE FROM HALLMARK HEADQUARTERS (sort of - the hotel nearby which we still think counts) and instead of rising to the challenge and recording our best work instead Holly forgets to plug in the microphone and it takes us several takes to get through the recording, thus continuing to set a low bar.  But we discuss The Finnish Line and you, dear listeners, get to hear the Christmas Goat in action.  Next up will be Three Wiser Men and a Boy.  Yes, I know last time we said that was up next but it turns out we lied.  This time we think we mean it.

You guys, it's not even mid-December and we're already at episode 5.  It's like we're real podcasters.  I fully expect us to fall apart any moment now.  This episode we're reviewing the charming Confessions of a Christmas Letter. Next up - Three Wiser Men and a Boy.  And also, maybe before that, maybe after that, maybe all at the same time, it's our big trip to Kansas City!

In which we review a 2024 Hallmark gem called Jingle Bell Run.  Also in which due to my masterful editing only the most discerning of listeners will be able to tell when we were interrupted by a phone call.  Professionalism?  Never heard of it.  Next up will be Confessions of a Christmas Letter.

Join us as we review Holiday Crashers and give Hallmark a quick rundown on legal malpractice.  I also just realized that the Holiday Crashers title works pretty well with the ambulance chaser sub-plot, so am happy to say I'm still deepening my analysis of the sophisticated script.

We're finally ready (or at least one of us is) to tell you our exciting Season 4 news!  But first you have to make it through another episode.  This time we're reviewing Holiday Mismatch.  And no, we don't know yet what we're doing next but you'll be the first to know.

We're back with a whole new season of Hollysnark.  We decided to kick off the season with a controversial one, Our Holiday Story, which Bauble likes more than Holly.  In a surprise twist ending we're actually going to tell you what we're watching next:  Holiday Mismatch.  Will it be naughty or nice?  Listen and find out!

We're getting pretty deeply into the new Christmas season, so let's forget that it hasn't even been Halloween yet and just go with it.  We're reviewing the 2024 blockbuster 'Twas the Date Before Christmas for all of you who thought it might be a good idea to bring a blind date home for Christmas Eve this year.  Spoiler alert - it isn't a good idea, it's a GREAT idea!

In which we review a new fall episode, The Heiress and the Handyman, and Holly expands Bauble's vocabulary along the way.

It's Christmas in July, y'all!  And to celebrate, we are reviewing Christmas at Dollywood.  What could be better than Hallmark, you ask?  Hallmark with a side of Dolly, we say!

Holy pancakes - in a shocking departure, we review a Hallmark Murders and Mysteries episode (fittingly named Mystery 101).  And Holly and Bauble switch chairs, to boot.  So much chaos.  So never say that Holly and Bauble are in a rut.  Except of course when we are.  Which isn't this episode.

Happy Cinco de Mayo!  You may want to listen to this little gem as you savor your margaritas.  We're reviewing Love and Jane, which was an absolute stinker of a Hallmark movie.  No, we don't know what's up next.  Someday we'll get out act together but today is not that day.

In honor of Valentine's Day we have recorded a very special Loveuary episode.  Nah, just kidding.  Really we're just doing Christmas at the Plaza.  We're just not quite done with Christmas yet.  We promise we'll get around to Valentine's Day, but what's the hurry?  We just have the long dark winter of no Hallmark ahead of us so forgive us if we're not rushing.

We continue our overseas adventures for Season 3 with a delightful romp in Merry Old England and Christmas in Notting Hill.  Nope, we don't know what we're doing next or when, but stay tuned.

Happy 2024!  Start the new year off right with an episode of Hollysnark (with a side of Bauble).  We're reviewing My Norwegian Holiday and learning everything the Norwegian tourist board wants us to  - skol!

Merry Christmas!  In a holiday miracle, we're getting episode 2 uploaded a few hours before it's officially Christmas.  Here's hoping (or dreading?) that Season 3 ends up having more than 2 episodes, although it's not looking good given our recent pace or lack thereof.  But we have one of our favorites for you today - Holiday Road.  Enjoy!
