Why Was "A New Year's Resolution" Pulled From the Hallmark Schedule - A New Year's Resolution was to air originally on December 28, 2019 as part of that year's Countdown to Christmas. However, on December 16, 2019 a tweet from @HotlineHallmark revealed that the movie had been pulled from the schedule. A few articles I found didn't have many details as why the movie was pulled. Coincidence or not, but the movie's producer Kevin Duda also had another movie pulled from the Hallmark schedule earlier that year. A recent conversation with some peers in the industry mentioned that this movie was pulled because Bill Abbott - the head of Hallmark at the time - simply didn't like the movie. Daughtery will next be seen in this year's hardest to pronounce title “Joyeux Noel” on October 29th. We're starting to see posters for the Countdown to Christmas movies emerge! Gregg Rossen has written a TON of Hallmark movies including The Professional Bridesmaid, The Winter Palace, The Santa Stakeout and more. Her next Hallmark film is the Tyler Hynes movie "Never Been Chris'd." Merry Christmas! Or Happy Hanukkah! Or Happy Kwanzaa! Maybe Happy Holidays! Or if you don't celebrate anything this time of year, Happy standard Thursday. Anyways, here is Robert and Donnell's gift to you, a review of the Hallmark Original Santa Stakeout. What's that? Where's the normal Watchin It episode. Well we thought that given the holidays, we would just let this week be about that. No, we didn't miss place half of the episode and not have a way to recover it. What would make you think that? Anyways, I hope you have a good standard Thursday. PS - We will be releasing half of episode 81 later tonight and give a summary of Hawkeye episode 5 on the finale episode next week. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/watchin-it/support
Matt and Merry chat about the new made-for-tv Christmas movie “The Santa Stakeout.” We got a winner on this one. Joey Pantoliano didn't disappoint, and neither did the rest of the crew. In short, we loved it, and we're gonna tell you why. Along the way, we tell you how the Festival of Trains went, something called Santa Con, and the most famous actor to have appeared in a made-for-tv movie.
We are a sleigh bells throw from Christmas and this week we have a festive mystery. We're covering the Santa Stakeout: starring Tamera Mowry-Housley as Detective Tanya Morris and Paul Campbell as Detective Ryan Anderson. Detective Morris is a rookie who is determined to prove herself. Even when she is paired with the surly veteran Detective Anderson in an undercover assignment to solve several art heists. In this episode we give unqualified advice on when you should retain a lawyer (hint ALWAYS even if you're really REALLY innocent). We discuss the merits of passive aggressive decorating and contemplate why Paul Campbell 'gives good brow.' The carols keep coming so we hope you stroll the snowy streets with us as we try to solve the Santa Stakeout.
Hey Watchers! Lady D and Lady H are winding down season one of the podcast. We have enjoyed hearing from you, and watching with you. This episode, we review three Holiday movies you can find on Lifetime and Hallmark: Holiday in Harmony, The Santa Stakeout, and A Picture Perfect Holiday. We also go over the Holiday movies one can find on Netflix and Lifetime featuring Black women. Lady H prefers her holiday movies with more...punch, but she is anticipating Boxing Day. Later, Lady D gives her verdict on the 4400, and Lady H watched Ready to Love. We love watching with you, so we will tweet commentary (and sometimes live tweet) on episodes of The Equalizer, Insecure, 4400, Our Kind of People, Queens, and Batwoman! They have consistently made our Top 5 picks, and we lots to say. You can always follow Lady D and Lady H on twitter: come say hi, and tell us what you are watching. Peace! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/watchwithyou/message
We strongly encourage drinking responsibly to this one ... Tanya, a police detective who is partnered with fellow detective Ryan to solve a recent string of heists. They go undercover as newlyweds, moving into the vacant house next to Mr. Miller, the prime suspect in the case. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Megan and Wendy review Hallmark Channel's "Coyote Creek Christmas" for this week's bonus Girls Gone Hallmark episode. The movie stars fan-favorite Ryan Paevey and the super-likable Janel Parish. Lots of storylines to unpack in this one and you might be surprised when you hear their rating. Reviews of Christmas in My Heart (Hallmark Movies & Mysteries) and The Santa Stakeout (Hallmark Channel).
This week, we review the last two of the four new Hallmark Christmas movies titled Santa Stakeout starring Tamera Mowry and Paul Campbell as well as Christmas in my Heart starring Luke McFarlane and Heather Hemmens. Both of these movies were great for their own reasons. Santa Stakeout was unique in its comedy and chemistry between the actors. The storyline was different for Hallmark and it definitely highlighted Tamera and Paul's comedic chops. If there was one movie no one ever thought Hallmark would make during the old regime, it would definitely be Christmas in my Heart. I mean, black girl hair, cornrows and box braids, discrimination, racial differences, etc. Never in my life did I think this movie would come from Hallmark, and it is definitely because Wonya Lucas is CEO

Shape Shifters? Hindu Nypmhs? and Idris Elba? What do they have in common. They were all inspiration for the new paranormal work by Suleikha Snyder. Our episode this week gets us ready for Spooky Season with an interview with the Indian-American author of contemporary, erotic, and paranormal romance. We talk all about her recent novel, just in time for Halloween, entitled Pretty Little Lion. About Suleikha: Suleikha Snyder is a best-selling and award-winning author of contemporary and erotic romance, whose works have been showcased in Entertainment Weekly, BuzzFeed, The Times of India, and NPR. A second-generation Indian-American, Suleikha grew up in the heartland of America and in two cultures. From an early age, Suleikha was enraptured by books, film, and television...finding a place to belong amidst the crew of the Millennium Falcon and outside the glittering ballrooms of the ton, looking in. She soon began writing original stories as well as fan fiction—something she still does today—but detoured into entertainment journalism rather than pursuing creative writing as a career. After more than a decade in print media, and well after her humble beginnings scribbling 21 Jump Street fic, Suleikha is successfully living out her dream of being a romance writer. Her short stories and novellas are sexy, diverse, and sometimes peppered with bits of Bengali or Hindi. Expect masala, masti, and maybe a little mayhem! A passionate advocate for diversity and inclusivity in publishing, Suleikha is frequently ranting when she should really be adding to her body of work. She currently lives in Chicago, finding inspiration in Bollywood films, daytime and primetime soaps, and anything that involves chocolate or bacon. Follow Suleikha at www.SuleikhaSnyder.com In Hot Topics in Romance, we talk about Eve's new bundle of joy, Moynetta Shaw's new hubby, and Tori Hart on keeping her last name and positive co-parenting. In Watching Romance, we are gearing up this weekend for our Christmas Movie Seasonm, starting with 3 movies on Hallmark: Christmas in my Hear (w/ Sheryl Lee Ralph), The Santa Stakeout w/ Tamera Mowery, and Boyfriend of Christmas Past with Katherine Kim. With so many Countdown to Christmas movies in 2021, we have added a brand new Hallmark tier to our Patreon! For just $3/month we will give you TWO additional Hallmark Countdown to Christmas movie reviews. Join Patreon today! When Does Hallmark's Countdown to Christmas Begin? Countdown to Christmas begins on Friday, October 22, 2021 with new movies expected to premiere every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It was recently announced that there will be 41 original movies this holiday season premiering across many of Hallmark's entertainment platforms, including Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries and the Hallmark Movies Now app. Will the Hollywood Strike Affect Hallmark Movies? According to Heavy.com, the impending IATSE strike could possibly affect the production of new Hallmark movies either not filmed yet or not completed with post-production. It will be interesting to watch this unfold over the next few weeks. What Movies are in 2021 Countdown to Christmas? Of the 41 original new movies, Hallmark has released the titles, cast, and synopses for only nine movies. We know the turn around time on these movies is really tight. Some movies on the schedule are likely not even in production yet. On September 30, 2021 @SleepyKittyPaw shared this list of movies expected to premiere during Countdown to Christmas. This person says they are 99% sure the 19 movies listed under "Not Yet Officially Announced" are all for the Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas. Now know of 41 new, original holiday movies produced, or soon-to-film, for Hallmark, with NO acquisitions—a first for the network. Possible we will see at least 1 more, since CRASHING THROUGH THE SNOW premiered in July. Would say 99% confident unannounced are all for Hallmark. pic.twitter.com/CUdAhOb77S— Ho! Ho! Holiday Viewing!
