Watch on Philo! - Philo.tv/DTHThe movie kicks off with a ton of penguins, including one named Juan who has some new moves. This guy named Ian is out there observing the penguins when he accidentally drops his phone, causing the earth to shake.Cut to Emma, who is waiting for a match she met on an app. He doesn't show up. Instead, her dad, Ian, calls and tells her there's a big problem and that he's in great danger. However, the phone call keeps breaking up. She tries to reach him again but can't, so she decides to tag along with a research team heading to Antarctica.Emma hops on a plane to get to a ship bound for Antarctica. The only problem? She doesn't have a permit to enter Antarctica, which is apparently required by law. She decides her best course of action is to steal a briefcase from the research team. She's stopped by a guy named Andy, who's like, Umm, who are you? Emma lies and says, I have the magnetometer. Andy buys it and says, Well then, we need to get you on board!Emma sneaks into the janitor's room, thinking it'll be fine, but after realizing it's a 10-day journey, she decides to grab some food while avoiding the woman who told her she couldn't come. Andy catches her and takes her to the research room to assemble the magnetometer. Realizing she can't keep up the lie, she finally tells him the truth. Andy feels uneasy about not reporting her—after all, she's breaking the law—but she pleads, It's for my dad!Andy reluctantly agrees to let her stay, even offering her his room (all above board). They bond over card games and other activities, and Emma even sketches Andy while he sleeps. Things are going smoothly until Emma learns the crew on land hasn't been able to find her dad.She decides to steal a crew uniform, thinking it'll make things easier. Her plan works until Ingrid, the woman from the beginning, recognizes Emma's voice and her distinctive duck ringtone. Ingrid chases her all over the ship, and Emma ends up hiding in a closet. When the ship hits some rough seas, she gets locked inside the closet.Luckily, Emma manages to make a call over the loudspeaker, and Andy comes to her rescue. They hug for a long time, exchanging meaningful looks. The ship finally reaches Antarctica, and Emma sneaks onto an expedition with some of the cruisers. She makes it to the base and hops on a snowmobile to find her dad. When she reaches his location, it turns out he was just surfing. Her dad explains that he's not the one in danger—a penguin is. He shows them a penguin stuck on a chunk of ice that broke off. He's tethered the ice chunk but can't pull it in without tipping over. Fortunately, Andy is an engineer and agrees to help. They come up with a plan, but the drill doesn't connect to the other iceberg.Meanwhile, Ingrid is searching for Andy. When she can't find him, she goes into his room, discovers the stolen crew uniform, and realizes Andy has been hiding Emma. While this is happening, Andy and Emma take a cold plunge in the icy water. Ingrid spots them with binoculars and is furious.Back on the ship, Andy and Emma warm up (almost kissing), then return to work with a special drill bit. They eventually learn Emma's dad is in trouble—a tether broke and pulled him under. He's okay but insists they get back to saving the penguin.Just as they're about to finish the rescue, Ingrid shows up. After an impassioned speech about the importance of penguins, she lets them continue. They successfully drill and pull the ice chunk back to shore, reuniting the penguins. Emma and Andy hug and nearly kiss again, but they're interrupted by a phone call. Finally, Andy confesses his feelings, and Emma pulls him in for a kiss.Four months later, Emma is sketching penguins in Antarctica, living her best life.
Christmastime is almost here, and there's a Gundam coming down everyone's stocking in the new year! A pleasant surprise, for sure, and a good tiding of cheer in the wake of Crunchyroll changing the rules of their "awards" show in totally inconspicuous fashion that has nothing to do with a certain show airing this year about aliens and ghosts. And along with that, there are some fun movies coming out (and some that are not-as-fun), some notable dub casts announced for the new year, the Rascal dub situation is FINALLY mostly sorted out after an entire year, and a look at how the manga sales went for the year and who's at the top of the mountain for 2024 - along with much more, with one more show to come before the new year. It's going to be Jump Festa. Call it a late Christmas gift from all of us to all of you. EDITOR'S NOTE: Well, this took a lot of time to get together, didn't it? Professor Barry Zellen is a research scholar in the Department of Geography at the University of Connecticut and is a Senior Fellow (Arctic Security) of the Institute of the North. His recent book is: “Arctic Exceptionalism: Cooperation in a Contested World.” The Antarctic Treaty System convened the states that have an interest in the area but no legal claims. The United Nations, through its treaties, has been instrumental in setting up international laws that have provided stability for both areas at polar opposites. Treaties on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, Law of the Sea and the IMO Polar Code are the linchpins. Arctic Exceptionalism is a reflection of inherently cooperating and warfare was the exception. The eight states in the Arctic Council include the US, Russia, Canada, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Finland and Greenland. The invasion of Ukraine by Russia upended this delicate balance and challenged the stability of Arctic Exceptionalism.

Mania can range from mild (known as hypomania) to severe; at its most extreme, mania can trigger delusions, violence, and an increased risk of suicide. Depending on the cause, a manic episode can last anywhere from several days to several months, and will typically increase in severity—and in the level of agitation—as it progresses. Milder mania is more likely to be associated with positive outcomes, like increased productivity or greater feelings of optimism. However, the impulsive behaviors associated with a manic state can lead to substance abuse, unnecessary risks, or poor financial decisions. Tune is an learn all about identifying and resolving mania!

In this episode, I will create a base foundation of compatible opposites, known in Astrology as “Polar Opposites or “Sister Signs “ In astrology, the term "Polar opposites" refers to zodiac signs that are directly opposite each other on the zodiac wheel. These signs are said to have contrasting characteristics and approaches to life. Despite these differences, polar opposite signs can complement each other in various ways, offering balance and different perspectives in partnerships and relationships.
Making decisions can often feel like walking a tightrope between two buildings – on one side lies perseverance, and on the other, the choice to walk away. It's a delicate balance that can determine the trajectory of our lives and businesses. In this episode, Kevin Palmieri and Alan Lazaros explored this problem, delving into their personal experiences with this dichotomy and sharing stories of their participation in a mastermind group where their differing viewpoints on persistence versus departure came to light.Links mentioned:Next Level Dreamliner - https://a.co/d/f1FWAQANext Level Monthly Meetup #26: “3 Words You Need to Remember if You Want a Next Level Relationship” on February 1st, 2024, 06:00 PM EST - https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZUrf-6vpj0jHd3dtDOIDDagugoZEJ2Zz14I#/registration ______________________NLU is far more than just a podcast, and we have so many more resources to help you achieve your goals and dreams. For more information, please check out our website at the link below.

Gio said if Woody Johnson watched the in season Hard Knocks with the Miami Dolphins he should be pissed. The Dolphins got Mike McDaniel, Tua, Tyreek Hill and Mike White. They did everything right and the Jets have done everything wrong. The Giants are still competing and winning games with an undrafted rookie free agent. This shows Brian Daboll is a good coach, unlike Rob Saleh. Gio said Tommy DeVito should be sliding into DMs of Instagram models, especially on a bye week. C-Lo returns for an update but first we talked about Al already starting to listen to Christmas music. The Eagles are underdogs at home to the Niners even though they are 10-1. Tom Brady talked about teams constantly changing offenses and how much of a disadvantage it puts them at. Tyreek Hill said this Dolphins team is better than the Super Bowl team he was on with the Chiefs. Tiger Woods talked about still competing and will walk away when he can no longer win again. The Moment of The Day involved a writer who said Boomer's information should be ‘taken with a grain of salt'. In the final segment of the show, Sal dresses like a cool kid and Evan sometimes dresses like a kid who doesn't know how to put an outfit together. A caller wonders why Jack Coan doesn't get a look from NFL teams.

Hey there, it's Artist Bebop, and you're about to dive into Episode #38 - 'Polar Opposites' on my Weekly Ramble!
In the first episode of this six-part Working Scientist podcast series, Julie Gould explores the history of science and art and asks researchers and artists to define what the two terms mean to them.Like science, art is a way of asking questions about the world, says Jessica Bradford, head of collections and principal curator at the Science Museum in London. But unlike art, science about interrogating the world in a way that is hopefully repeatable, adds UK-based artist Luke Jerram, who creates sculptures, installations and live artworks around the world.Ljiljana Fruk, a bionanotechnology researcher at the University of Cambridge, UK, says artists can be more playful and work faster, whereas scientists need to repeatedly back up their work by data, a more time-consuming exercise. They are joined by Arthur I. Miller, a physicist who launched the UK's first undergraduate degree in history and philosophy of science in 1993, and Nadav Drukker, a ceramic artist and theoretical physicist at King's College London.Future episodes in this series will focus on how scientists collaborate with artists and why their partnerships are so important. It will also feature researchers who, like Drukker, juggle research careers alongside creating art. Each episode concludes with a follow-up sponsored slot from the International Science Council (ISC).
