Meet Mary on this week's episode. A survivor of abuse and trauma, Mary has grown beyond her pain. As a child, Mary was abused by the man she thought was her father. Coercive control and manipulation added pain and stress as she grew into young adulthood. Her first marriage was to an abuser. Violence continued to affect all aspects of Mary's life, culminating in the murder of her mother. But Mary fought back. Through exploration and therapy, she found forgiveness. This woman is the definition of grit.
