"It's the most wonderful time of the year" some might say and I agree! If for no other reason that it's perfectly legit to drink glögg in this part of the world and because I generally post my top ten countdown of the best albums released in the year that has (soon) gone by. With a bit of luck, YOUR favorite record made the cut. 

Heading into a chilly November (in this part of the world at least) so best to keep warm moving about to nearly 39 minutes of great toe-tappers! That's my prescription and you should always follow the dj's order.

Reading Kathleen Hanna's "Rebel Girl" at the moment, a book I highly recommend. No Bikini Kill or Le Tigre on the playlist this time around, but I can still promise a thoroughly enjoyable mix of punk, hard rock, thrash, garage, rap and alternative.

Back at work after a pretty uneventful vacation. I've traded in some crappy music (collecting dust on my shelves) in exchange for excellent stuff at a couple of local record stores recently and that's always a hoot. Vacation is up and running and I lost track of time which is why this is coming out a day late (as if you care). Summer vacation is right around the corner and I can't WAIT! Nothing big planned but I am hooking up for a beer with fellow podcaster Michael Butler when he swings by town in early August (playing bass for Handsome Dick Manitoba). Saddened by the news of Mark Lanegan's death. He had a truly unique voice and I've spent many hours blasting it from speakers since 1995, when "Whiskey For the Holy Ghost" made its way into my collection. His music is featured on this episode as well as some punk, alternative, thrash and hard rock.

First week off has been a so-so affair in terms of weather, but sleeping in is a nice thing, the pandemic is making less headlines and the European championship in football has had tons of great moments. Plenty of less nerdy things to do I guess, but I must admit that it's been very satisfying. April is here and I've lined up a fine show with some punk, death metal, southern rock, Americana, Brit pop and hard rock on the playlist. Been buying tickets to see bands in the summer and fall, but who the hell knows whether they'll be able to do the gigs? Damn you virus!
