On this episode of The Bubba Dub Show, Dub breaks down a wild Sunday in sports — from a controversial boxing night to the Houston Texans taking down the Kansas City Chiefs, and the continued rise of Shedeur Sanders in Cleveland. Dub opens the show reacting to the Pitbull Cruz vs Lamont Roach fight, explaining why the draw wasn’t really a draw, what the numbers actually showed, and why some fans need to stop letting bias cloud the truth. He dives into Fulton vs Foster, the importance of reach, and which fighters need to head back to the drawing board. From there, Dub moves into full NFL mode. The Texans improve to 8–5, CJ Stroud leads with poise, Nico Collins puts up a big night, and Houston’s defense continues proving they’re a real contender. Meanwhile, Kansas City continues to struggle with drops, inconsistency, and a fading offensive identity. Dub then shifts to the performance of Shedeur Sanders, breaking down why he believes Cleveland has found its quarterback, how Shedeur is improving each week, and how leadership, media pressure, and belief inside the locker room are shaping his early NFL journey. He also covers league-wide matchups, injuries, playoff implications, and the future outlook for several key teams. The episode also includes Dub’s thoughts on the latest developments surrounding the P. Diddy documentary, a conversation about truth, accountability, and owning your identity, and a segment on personal growth, confidence, and why staying grounded matters. In the NBA world, Dub reacts to LeBron James turning back the clock, the Lakers showing flashes, and why OKC may be on a historic trajectory this season. To close out the show, Dub touches on college football, upcoming live tour dates, PrizePicks giveaways, and messages from callers. This episode blends comedy, sports insight, and real-life wisdom — all in Bubba Dub’s unmistakable style.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Apparently, there is a right answer to that question. Does all music sound the same these days or are Jake and Geoff just old men yelling at clouds? The guy wrap it up with a little politics talk. In this episode of Sippin' On Excellence, Coach KJ and Doc dive deep into one of the most personal questions you can ever ask yourself: "Is the world a better place with you in it?" What starts as a reflection on purpose quickly unfolds into a raw conversation about identity, self-worth, and the hidden fears that shape how we show up. The guys unpack what "poor" really looks like—not just in your bank account, but in your mindset, your relationships, and your spiritual health. They explore why so many of us fumble the good things in our lives, how fear of success can feel just as paralyzing as fear of failure, and the subtle ways imposter energy creeps in even when we appear confident. Together, they challenge listeners to look beyond external achievements and ask, What is my true life goal? Beyond service, beyond the grind, what does my contribution give back to me? And when success finally comes, does it fulfill me beyond money and metrics? This episode isn't about easy answers—it's about confronting the truth of who you are, why you do what you do, and whether the world truly benefits from your full, authentic self showing up. Long-time listeners of Roots Music Rambler will recognize the name of the band Sparkle Carcass. They happen to be one of Francesca Folinazzo's favorite Chicago-based bands she sees play live frequently. And to their credit, they are well-known in the windy city as an alt-country, dive bar sorta crew. Well, Cody Palmer and crew today released their second studio album and he joined us on Roots Music Rambler to talk about it. The LP is called Maraschino Chevy and brings out their honky-tonk, beer-slingin', toe-tappin' sound nicely. Palmer joined Frank and Falls to talk about the album, his songwriting process, a musical mom whose healthy rivalry with him helped form his work and a lot more. He talked about how he and wife (and band member) Reilly Downes balance their independent musical projects while participating in one another's and a lot more. We also talk about Sparkle Carcass's first Maraschino Chevy single “Sippin' on a Cool One” which was originally released by a band called Rollin' Country around 1977. But Palmer has never been able to find the band for proper credit or acknowledgement. So if you know them or of them, reach out to us at ramblers@rootsmusicrambler.com and we'll connect the dots! Also on this episode, Falls shares a social media conversation with artist Lance Rogers and Bill Taylor that helped crystallize his purpose in doing this podcast, his radio show, and beyond. “That song makes me not want some mo G4.” That reaction to the music video “Sippin' on Some G4” by Jeff Hodges and Los Henchmen, while nothing like the majority of commenters, was also not uncommon. Which is interesting, right? Because absolutely nothing changed about the Tequila in the G4 bottle. So … why would anyone stop drinking something they like because of a music video they don't like?Agave Road Trip is a critically acclaimed, award-winning podcast that helps gringx bartenders better understand agave, agave spirits, and rural Mexico. This week on Sippin' on Excellence, Coach and The Doc refuse to play it safe. We dive into the conversations most people avoid for fear of rocking the boat… but the ones that desperately need to be had. We start with the harsh realities of ICE raids and the inhumane way people are criminalized and degraded, pulling back the curtain on what silence costs us as a society. From there, we pivot into the personal: relationships shaped (and sometimes shackled) by religion, the illusion of “chaos as excitement,” and the subtle dynamics of dating outside your so-called “weight class.” We ask: What kind of energy are you putting out into the world? How much of yourself do you pour into others, and when that energy isn't reciprocated, what then? Should reciprocity be expected, or do we need to learn how to communicate the way we want to be treated? This is a wide-ranging, raw, and necessary conversation, one that challenges you to step outside your comfort zone, examine what you truly want, and start practicing agency through fearless, open dialogue. Cole Taylor's journey from small-town Georgia to Nashville success story perfectly captures the dreams that bring so many songwriters to Music City. Within just nine months of arriving in Nashville, Taylor landed a publishing deal that would launch a career filled with chart-topping hits for country music's biggest stars.Growing up immersed in a rich musical tapestry—from Alan Jackson's storytelling to Lynyrd Skynyrd's southern rock—Taylor developed a versatile songwriting approach that makes him a sought-after collaborator. "My head is just a burnt CD of just anything and everything," he explains, describing how his diverse influences allow him to adapt to any writing room situation. The stories behind Taylor's biggest hits reveal both his craftsmanship and the serendipitous moments that define songwriting. His first number one, "Sippin' on Fire" with Florida Georgia Line, came from a writing session with Matt Dragstrom that later received input from veteran songwriter Rodney Clawson. Taylor received the life-changing news while turkey hunting back home in Georgia—a fitting full-circle moment for the small-town songwriter making it big.Taylor's catalog includes standout duets like "Home Alone Tonight" (Luke Bryan and Karen Fairchild) and "You Me and Whiskey" (Justin Moore and Priscilla Block), showcasing his ability to create musical conversations that resonate with listeners. His thoughtful approach to songwriting balances commercial appeal with genuine emotion, as evidenced in songs like "Good News Sold" and "Can't Kill a Prayer."Beyond his songwriting success, Taylor gives back through "Playing Through," a company he co-founded that combines his passions for golf and music while raising money for charities. This entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to community reflect the values that have guided his career from the beginning. For aspiring songwriters, Taylor's advice is refreshingly straightforward: "Keep showing up" and "Get through the bad songs, find the great ones." His journey proves that with talent, persistence, and the right connections, those Nashville dreams can absolutely come true.
