Cattle Anthrax In North Dakota & USDA Farm Expenses More Anthrax In North Dakota Last weekend, the state of North Dakota confirmed its second case of anthrax this year in a beef cattle herd in Stark County, according to the state veterinarian's office. North Dakota State Veterinarian Dr. Ethan Andress urged producers in counties with past cases to consult veterinarians about vaccination and to be alert for unusual livestock deaths. He emphasized that effective vaccines are available but require more than a week to build immunity, with boosters needed annually for continued protection. North Dakota Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring noted that while anthrax occurs most often in northeastern, southeastern, and south-central North Dakota, it has been detected across nearly every part of the state. A few cases are typically reported each year, though some outbreaks have been much larger, such as in 2005 when more than 500 livestock deaths were confirmed. Rollins spoke on the current state of the farm economy in the United States and addressed the ways President Trump is supporting American agriculture. U.S. farm production inputs are significantly more costly than four years ago, putting pressure on farmers' bottom line. Between 2020 and now, seed expenses have increased 18%, fuel and oil expenses increased 32%, fertilizer expenses increased 37%, and interest expenses increased by a whopping 73%. Additionally, labor costs increased 47% since 2020. Episode 147: This week we are here to discuss the Big 4 of Thrash Metal - Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer. Each of these bands played a huge role within the genre of metal inspiring countless acts over the years and releasing tons of iconic music during their heyday in the 80s and 90s. And joining me in today's discussion are two of the biggest metalheads that I know, and we'll be speaking about each band and their impact on the genre, and selecting our Top 4 personal favorites by these groups, as well as giving our reasoning behind these choices. 0:00 - Cold Open / Intro (Lee Michaels)1:52 - Welcome Erik Schmieder3:16 - Introductions to Metal11:50 - Anthrax18:39 - Megadeth25:39 - Metallica30:59 - Slayer39:06 - Josh's Number 441:46 - Ethan's Number 444:26 - Erik's Number 446:44 - Josh's Number 349:15 - Ethan's Number 351:53 - Erik's Number 354:40 - Josh's Number 21:00:08 - Ethan's Number 21:03:27 - Erik's Number 21:09:55 - Josh's Number 11:11:27 - Ethan's Number 11:15:06 - Erik's Number 11:17:41 - Weakest Albums1:20:33 - Final Thoughts / Your Picks1:21:21 - Outro / Close

It's Friday, and another episode of Talkin' Rock. Chris Daughtry is up first. Part 2 of Shock To The Stem dropped last week. We talk about that, including the latest single "The Bottom". We discuss playing in front of his peers, singing Journey with Joey Belladonna of Anthrax, and more. Tommy Buoy from Yachtley Crew is next to wrap up the episode. I'll admit, it's a little bit out of the realm of what I do, but I'll also admit that I'm a sucker for a good Yacht Rock classic. This interview was fun, as you'd expect. We talked about their new album “Seas the Night”, which includes yacht rock staples and a new track. What does Motley Crue think of the thier name? Tommy tells me...that's for starters with Tommy Buoy on Talkin' Rock. On today's Unemployable, we tackle the hard stuff: why cancer remains our biggest health challenge, why water quality may define the next global conflict, how outbreaks re-enter the U.S. (measles, dengue, bioterror), what COVID actually taught us, and where AI and genomics help—or create new risks. Along the way we talk access to care, compounding vs. brand-name drugs, GLP-1s (Ozempic/Wegovy), and the habits that really move the needle: sleep, strength, hydration, and walking with purpose. My guest is a former U.S. Assistant Secretary for Health and four-star admiral in the U.S. Public Health Service with leadership roles spanning MD Anderson's Moon Shots, WHO, and federal response teams for anthrax and Ebola. 40 years ago this week our nation was under assault by forces of evil. These forces were conspiring to control artists and take away Americans' constitutionally-guaranteed rights to freedom of expression. In the halls of the United States Senate, three righteous warriors - Frank Zappa, Dee Snider and John Denver - stood up for artists and free speech by directly confronting the evil in power. The evil in power were the so-called "Washington Wives" - spouses to powerful Senators that were weighing a bipartisan violation of the first amendment to the constitution. The head of this clan otherwise known as the PMRC, or the Parents Music Resource Center, was the dreaded Tipper Gore. In the name of "protecting children" Tipper and her friends aimed for censorship. In the process, they gave us a weird but fascinating playlist they dubbed "The Filthy Fifteen" - fifteen songs they deemed to be obscene. This playlist is worth another look, and ATTT has decided to enlist our friends the ATTT All-Stars to give it our patented Worst To First treatment. Shannon Hurley, Gabe Scalone, Joe Lavelle, Matt Dinan and David Daskal were on hand to rank these songs and wax poetic about what a fucked up time the Reagan years were. John BushHe's got one of the greatest voices in metal as evidenced by his work with Armored Saint, Anthrax and, more recently, Category 7. Powerhouse vocalist John Bush joins us to revisit the making of Armored Saint's 1985 album, “Delirious Nomad.” He also updates us on Armored Saint's forthcoming new album and the status of the Saint documentary. Plus, we learn about upcoming solo shows celebrating his time with Anthrax; ask him to name his favorite UFO tracks (hello, Michael Schenker… hint, hint); and fully support his invitation to Roger Daltrey to reprise his vocals on “Taking the Music Back.” Bush always delivers!Created and Produced by Jared Tuten

Send us a text25 Years Later: The Inspiration Behind Boiler Room's "Rectify"#newmusic #numetal #metalmusic #vocalist #boilerroom #rectify Originally formed in 1996 in New York City, Boiler Room released their self‑titled, independent album that same year produced by future Guns N' Roses guitarist Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal. The addition of Rob Caggiano (Anthrax, Volbeat) in 1998 began a creative writing relationship between him and singer Chris Lino and elevated the bands sound and performance. 1999 saw the band opening for nationally recognized acts along the East Coast, including Type O Negative, Life of Agony, Clutch and Static‑X, helping them catch the attention of renowned NYC radio station 92.3 K‑ROCK. Upon the release of their album they toured with Disturbed, Mudvanye, Kittie, and also Headlined a club tour in Europe. The band disbanded in 2001, with Caggiano leaving to join Anthrax and the other members dispersing into various projects. Chris Lino connected with Mike Orlando and finally in 2022, Orlando reached out to Chris and suggested that he consider re-recording and re-releasing some of Boiler Room's previously released songs. The result is Rectify which includes the brand-new stand out tracks "Haunted" and "Rectify".Order the CD: https://www.dekoentertainment.com/product-page/boiler-room-rectify-cdWebsite: https://www.dekoentertainment.com/inthesquare/boiler-roomFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/boilerroomband/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/boilerroom_band/Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@boilerroom_nyc Thanks for tuning in, please be sure to click that subscribe button and give this a thumbs up!!Email: thevibesbroadcast@gmail.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/listen_to_the_vibes_/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thevibesbroadcastnetworkLinktree: https://linktr.ee/the_vibes_broadcastTikTok: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMeuTVRv2/Twitter: https://twitter.com/TheVibesBrdcstTruth: https://truthsocial.com/@KoyoteFor all our social media and other links, go to: Linktree: https://linktr.ee/the_vibes_broadcastPlease subscribe, like, and share!

What's up, dudes? In memory of Ozzy, Duane Bailey from Tinsel Tunes and Matt Wheeler from Resurrection Metal Radio join me to talk 1988 Headbangers Christmas! Yes, it's Christmas Eve on MTV's Headbangers Ball, and Ozzy Osbourne and Zakk Wylde are hosting the festivities. We're introduced to a slew of ‘80s metal bands, but kicking off the festivities is Ozzy himself with “Crazy Babies!” Poison, Judas Priest, Winger, Bon Jovi, Whitesnake, and Guns N' Roses follow. Ozzy and Zakk have a great time introducing the videos. In fact, they even dress up in Santa hats. Ozzy even wears an odd mask and a pirate hook. Next up are videos from KISS, Hurricane, Alice Cooper, RATT, Aerosmith, and Cinderella. Ozzy suddenly appears in a picturesque Christmas fireside, but now inexplicably has on caveman feet and a club. Subsequently, videos from Lita Ford, Anthrax, Bad News (with the only Christmas song), Def Leppard, and Iron Maiden air. Finally, Hear N' Aid sang “Stars” and Headbangers Christmas concluded! Go get ‘em, boys!AC/DC singing “That's The Way I Wanna Rock 'N' Roll?” Yep. Yngwie Malmsteen performing “You Don't Remember, I'll Never Forget?” Uh huh. Sam Kinison? Sam Kinison?!?! Only if he's wailing on “Wild Thing!” So grab your axe, turn it up to 11, and rock out to this headbanging episode!Tinsel TunesFB: @tinseltunesIG: @tinseltunespodcastTwitter: @TinselTunesPodTownshend LightsGive us a buzz!
