Ahheem... This completes the Song a Week Project. What? You mean it’s over? This one is :-) Stay tuned for a brand spanking new project. This week’s song is about Jack Vale - a YouTube and uh, fake farting sensation. Don’t close your browser just yet. This guy is hilarious. Check his YouTube channel out here.I’m not one for fart jokes - but Jack Vale is different. The way he pulls off fake farting in public is full of awesome. He does lots of other really funny things too. Really - check him out.Hope you like the song. It was fun writing it.
One of my favorite people - Jonathan Coulton, is the topic of my next song conquest. More specifically - his beard.I became introduced by Jonathan Coulton by Ze Frank. One of Ze’s “The Show” episodes had Jonathan and Ze doing several songs together. I immediately went to see who Mr. Coulton was.
I wasn’t planning on ever doing a cover - and I’m not sure why I finally gave in.... but...If you are going to do a cover there is not much better a selection you can make than this song from the Star Wars Christmas Album that came out back in 1980.Enjoy the bagpipes.
This is a song I wrote after reading about Aidan Reed who is 5 and has leukemia. He likes to draw monsters and his family decided to try and raise money for the treatments by selling his artwork. It has been working! With that spirit in mind, I wrote this song in hopes of raising more money for Aidan and his family to pay for his treatments. I have a 7 year old boy and I cannot imagine what they are going through. My heart goes out to them. If you can, please purchase this song and help Aidan so that he will get to a speedy remission soon. If you can’t, simply spread the word about helping Aidan.I hope you like your song Aidan.

This song is about a guy who gets fired from his IT job and get’s kind of excited to get to play with his ‘toys’. Even more excited is he to wipe his computer so not to let management gain knowledge off of him to do his work once he is gone.Just a note - the first line is “not safe for work”. After that you’re golden.
It happened. I hit the wall. I couldn’t think up what to write about this week. Good thing I got to sit in on a chat with Mike Lombardo. He had some good suggestions, and helped me with inspiration just from getting to ask him questions.I want to thank everyone for their support and for listening. Opening the store at Bandcamp.com has been a success, thanks to you. Here you go everyone!
There’s are phenomenon going around The Twitter & The Internets. It’s called Marvel Cats. Marvel Cats are cats drawn as superheroes, or superheroes drawn as cats - your choice. This song is about......Marvel Cats!

He’s awesome.Go here to listen to my previous song, “Grant Imahara is a Long Time Hero”.Grant is debuting at this weekend’s w00tstock , a Beer Bot he has made. Twitter is going crazy with it.
I’m a big Lost fan. I’m also a big Hurley fan. So it stands to reason I’ve got to write a Hurley song. I hope you enjoy.I’ve been getting tons of hits from my site recently and I thank you all for coming and listening. I mean it.
Bert the Conqueror has some kind of people magic in him. He’s a hilarious guy, and if you met him, you’d probably be friends with him - Or at least go to an amusement park with him.
My video for my song “Vacation with Josh Gates”I did this for a Destination Truth video contest but missed the deadline by two hours *slaps forehead*.Watch for the mysterious and deadly Chupacabra.
A great interview with Aidy from the U.K. Aidy is a musician conquering the task of writing and recording a song a week for 1 year.
Josh Gates is an adventurer. He’s hilarious, plus he searches for monsters. That’s a rippin’ combination.
Update: Yes, I screwed up on this one! Seth doesn’t do the voice, Breckin Meyer does. Eek! I broke the Song a Week Rules and fixed Breckin into the song though. All should be appeased now. Public apology expected soon.Everything about Boba Fett is awesome. Flame thrower, helmet, jetpack, lasers. Add in some Seth Green, creator of Robot Chicken, and you are golden.
What? A song not about somebody famous? How can this be? Oh it be... It’s a song about a shipwrecked fellow. Drama Ensues. There’s always drama for marooned people. Right?
I like this one folks. It’s got a different feel to it that I haven’t explored yet. Like it and play it for the survivors after the THX-1138 society takes over.
Winning the prize for the longest title....
An interview about creativity with Len Peralta of Geek a Week, Monster by Mail, and Jawbone Radio!
Hi Folks. Here’s the latest song. It’s a song about one of my favorite people. Ze Frank.

This is a story of a guy who steals something, let’s say a vial of superhuman serum, from a lab where he works. His employer finds out and puts a contract on his head.
ThinkGeek Time Machine has been popular here at the Song a Week Project Website and so here’s a music video to go along with it! ThinkGeek even liked it!
ThinkGeek. Time Machine. The 80’s. Get transported back in time by ThinkGeek for some geeky gadgets as geeky as can be had back in the 80’s.
Now here’s the deal. I have here an epic song written about pre-ordering the new iPhone 4. It’s a fancy song with many bells and whistles. I hope you enjoy it.
I wrote this song for Wil Wheaton. Wil is a cool guy, and a fellow Geek. You may recognize him as Wesley Crusher. That’s not his fault. He didn’t write the lines. He has written a few books and also used to run his own website on Linux until it burst out into flames.Look at his shirt over to the right there. It’s freakin’ Awesome.
I wrote this for a songwriting contest. We’ll see what happens. If you like the song, go vote for it at www.songfight.org when the contest starts on June 6, 2010 @ 9:59 pdt.
What’s a Liger? It’s a half Lion/half Tiger, and now it’s in my Song a Week #21.
Classic Zombie Song. Zombies are trying to break into a house with people. People don’t wish to be eaten. Zombies sing to victims.
Boy meets girl. Boy falls in love with girl. Girl falls in love with boy. Girl dumps boy. Boy becomes disgruntled and compares girl to vampire. The recipe of songs.
Time for a sappy love song! Fun to write, fun to sing.18 songs done. Awesome isn’t it?
This song is a little different- in a good way. It’s more of a Len Peralta/Geek a Week Challenge theme song. It’s written about Len’s Geek a Week Challenge he is doing.
Song #16, cut and finished. Hope you like it. The project continues and the end seems nowhere in sight, but that’s ok. I haven’t run dry of ideas yet. Maybe I shouldn’t have said that?
You’ve been waiting for it ;-) The music video for “My Giant Robot is Going to End You”.
I’ve been writing one song a week so far for 15 weeks now. How has it been? So far, so good! I have been steadily growing in hits on the website and developing friends from far away in the process.
I made several mistakes when I first started this project. I'll tell you what those were and help you not to make those mistakes. If you want to make music on your Mac, and make that music up to a certain quality, you have to follow a few rules.
I got passed lucky song #13 by writing a song for Adam Savage of Mythbusters. It’s a song for Adam, and about Adam. It’s an Adam Savage theme song. This is the first tongue in cheek song I’ve done and I love how it turned out. What is this eyebrow rubbish you say? I’m glad you asked. It’s all about this incident: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5-xS9sDuLg
I got my acoustic groove on and I’m liking this tune. I think it’s one of the best one’s yet. Is that ok for me to say or is that big-headed of me?I’d say you’ve crossed the line and become weird if you’re listening to your own stuff in the car. I haven’t done that by the way :-)One step passed that would be going to the store and buying your own cd. How awkward would that be when you check out at WalMart?
Got my new mic this week and got a chance to record with it. It’s a Studio Projects B1 and I love it!
Making a new, better iWeb Blog Archive page with pictures and flair to replace the default, stagnant, visually unappealing one is not difficult at all.
I watched the movie 500 Days of Summer a few days ago and got frustrated at the ending. I came up with this song.
