In “Tests and Blessings” Marcia teaches that God led the Israelites from Egypt to the Desert to test their faith and show them what it means to follow God. It's his way of teaching us that He is sufficient for all of our needs. At the end of the podcast, Michelle looks at our faith and the importance of living by faith and not by sight.
In “Life In the Desert” Marcia teaches how the fledgling nation stood poised to begin their journey across the desert to the land that God had promised them. Their newfound faith would be put to the test and their sense of thanksgiving for deliverance from Egypt would soon give way to grumbling and complaining. At the end of the podcast, Michelle looks at how this scripture can lead us to ask some important questions about our faith journey and how we react to wilderness situations.
In “The Journey Begins” Marcia teaches the incredible story of the Israelites crossing the Red Sea. The story provides a powerful lesson for each of us when we are facing situations from which we have NO WAY OUT. At the end of the podcast, Michelle discusses some of our long roads and how God leads us that way on purpose for a great purpose. We also have ladies sharing their own “Red Sea” struggles and how God saw them through to “dry ground.”
In “The Lord's Passover” Marcia teaches from Exodus 11:1-13:16 where God displays His power over the forces of Evil; the messenger of death, would visit Egypt and deliver one final blow to Pharaoh: all the firstborn sons in Egypt would die. For Israel, there would be deliverance. At the end of the podcast, Michelle discusses God's Grace for Israelites and how being distinct today matters.
In “When God Goes To War” Marcia teaches from Exodus 7:14-10:29 where God would bring judgment upon Pharaoh and his land in the form of 10 plagues. The god of Egypt and their master, Satan, were about to be met by the Lord, God of Heaven and Earth, as He unleashes the powers of Heaven to bear against the powers of Darkness. At the end of the podcast, Michelle discusses the purposes of the plagues and how we can learn lessons from what was endured.
[2-1-2022] In "Freedom or Bondage?" Marcia teaches from Exodus chapter 5-7:13 where Moses was both terrified and humbled that God would call him to such a responsibility as leading the Children of Israel out of Egypt and into the Promise Land. In this lesson, we are challenged to decide if we will pick freedom in serving God or remaining in sins bondage. At the end of the podcast, Michelle discusses the different hardships faced by the Israelites and what we can learn from how they endured, and the ways that God was with them in order that we might know the Hope found in The LORD. Week 1 was not recorded, we apologize.
