Thursday of the Twenty-first Week in Ordinary TimeMt 24:42-51 Jesus said to his disciples: "Stay awake! For you do not know on which day your Lord will come. Be sure of this: if the master of the house had known the hour of night when the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and not let his house be broken into."

Wednesday of the Twenty-first Week in Ordinary TimeMt 23:27-32Jesus said, "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites. You are like whitewashed tombs, which appear beautiful on the outside, but inside are full of dead men's bones and every kind of filth. Even so, on the outside you appear righteous, but inside you are filled with hypocrisy and evildoing."
Friday of the Twentieth Week in Ordinary TimeMt 22:34-40"You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments."
Wednesday of the Twentieth Week in Ordinary TimeMt 20:1-16He said to one of them in reply, "My friend, I am not cheating you. Did you not agree with me for the usual daily wage? Take what is yours and go. What if I wish to give this last one the same as you? Or am I not free to do as I wish with my own money? Are you envious because I am generous?' Thus, the last will be first, and the first will be last."
Friday of the Nineteenth Week in Ordinary TimeMt 19:3-12Some Pharisees approached Jesus, and tested him, saying, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any cause whatever?" He said in reply, "Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator made them male and female and said, For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, man must not separate."
Thursday of the Nineteenth Week in Ordinary TimeMt 18:21–19:1Peter approached Jesus and asked him, "Lord, if my brother sins against me, how often must I forgive him? As many as seven times?" Jesus answered, "I say to you, not seven times but seventy-seven times."
Wednesday of the Nineteenth Week in Ordinary TimeMt 18:15-20"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."
Wednesday of the Eighteenth Week in Ordinary TimeMt 15: 21-28Then Jesus said to her in reply, "O woman, great is your faith! Let it be done for you as you wish." And her daughter was healed from that hour.
Monday of the Eighteenth Week in Ordinary TimeMt 14:13-21Taking the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he said the blessing, broke the loaves, and gave them to the disciples, who in turn gave them to the crowds. They all ate and were satisfied, and they picked up the fragments left over– twelve wicker baskets full.

Thursday of the Seventeenth Week in Ordinary TimeMt 13:47-53"Thus it will be at the end of the age. The angels will go out and separate the wicked from the righteous and throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth."
Wednesday of the Seventeenth Week in Ordinary TimeMt 13:44-46Jesus said to his disciples: "The Kingdom of heaven is like a treasure buried in a field, which a person finds and hides again, and out of joy goes and sells all that he has and buys that field."
Friday of the Sixteenth Week in Ordinary TimeMt 13:18-23 "But the seed sown on rich soil is the one who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and yields a hundred or sixty or thirtyfold.”
Thursday of the Sixteenth Week in Ordinary TimeMt 13:10-17"But blessed are your eyes, because they see, and your ears, because they hear. Amen, I say to you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it."
Monday of the Sixteenth Week in Ordinary TimeMt 12:38-42Some of the scribes and Pharisees said to Jesus, "Teacher, we wish to see a sign from you." He said to them in reply, "An evil and unfaithful generation seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it except the sign of Jonah the prophet. Just as Jonah was in the belly of the whale three days and three nights, so will the Son of Man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights."
Matthew Lloyd has detailed the time he was asked by Kevin Sheedy to pretend he wouldn't be playing against Collingwood due to a shoulder. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Friday of the Fifteenth Week in Ordinary TimeMt 12:1-8"I say to you, something greater than the temple is here. If you knew what this meant, I desire mercy, not sacrifice, you would not have condemned these innocent men. For the Son of Man is Lord of the sabbath."
Thursday of the Fifteenth Week in Ordinary TimeMt 11:28-30Jesus said: "Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light."
Wednesday of the Fifteenth Week in Ordinary TimeMt 11:25-27At that time Jesus exclaimed: "I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike."
Tuesday of the Fifteenth Week in Ordinary TimeMt 11:20-24Jesus began to reproach the towns where most of his mighty deeds had been done, since they had not repented. "Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty deeds done in your midst had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would long ago have repented in sackcloth and ashes."
Monday of the Fifteenth Week in Ordinary TimeMt 10:34—11:1"Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; and whoever does not take up his cross and follow after me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it."
Sunday Morning, July 16, 2023Getting an "A+" from Heaven: It's Weeping Time ... Matthew 5:4A message delivered by Pastor, Richard Fleming
Thursday of the Fourteenth Week in Ordinary TimeMt 10:7-15"Whoever will not receive you or listen to your words— go outside that house or town and shake the dust from your feet. Amen, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town."
Wednesday of the Fourteenth Week in Ordinary TimeMt 10:1-7Jesus sent out these Twelve after instructing them thus, "Do not go into pagan territory or enter a Samaritan town. Go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. As you go, make this proclamation: 'The Kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
This current episode focuses on Matthew 22:1-14, which looks at Jesus' parable of the wedding banquet. Together we discuss our preparations for the Kingdom of Heaven and the wedding banquet that is coming.

Imagine falling in love just as major world events are happening. This week's love story belongs to Mariya and Matt. They met in 2018 when Matt, a Canadian playwright, travelled to Ukraine for a workshop. There, he met Mariya, an accomplished and passionate actor. They went from creative collaborators, to friends, to lovers, and eventually husband and wife. Oh, and new parents on top of it all. A lot of love stories have twists, turns and challenges but their love story has included a global pandemic and a tragic war. Not only did their relationship endure, it flourished.
