The Brothers talk about Dr. Jordan Peterson's Exodus Seminar, Episode 13. We discuss the prophets of old and their ability to argue with God. We ask, “does God need us, like a father needs his children?” We then talk about the archetypal heroe's inability to get rewards for sacrifices made. This week on Walk Talks, we dive into Exodus 13-15, where God leads His people out of Egypt and displays His mighty power at the Red Sea. We'll explore how God guides the Israelites with a pillar of cloud and fire, the significance of the firstborn's consecration, and the ultimate deliverance as He parts the sea to rescue His people from Pharaoh's army. Through these chapters, we see God's faithfulness, His call to trust in Him, and the powerful song of praise that follows His miraculous salvation.
God will lead us to unwanted places in order to work in us deep trust, bringing us to the end of ourselves (surrender) to build our faith, overcome our fear, and show His glorious power to save. ---We desire to see the Gospel saturate a people, awakening them by the glory of God to treasure Jesus as better. For more Gospel-centered teaching and resources, including audio and video downloads of our sermons, please visit our website: http://www.thewellchurchok.com/resourcesInstagram: http://www.instagram.com/thewellchurchokFacebook: http://www.facebook.com/thewellchurchok
