Send us a message! We walk through Acts 5 through 10 and track how God repeatedly pushes believers beyond what feels safe, from public pressure to private forgiveness. We name the comfort zones we cling to and ask what it looks like to take the first step while trusting the Holy Spirit to carry the rest. • boldness under pressure and fear of consequences • choosing obedience first and trusting the Holy Spirit for words and impact • letting go of control through delegation and shared leadership • Stephen's witness and the fear of loss or death • Philip's unexpected appointment and crossing cultural difference • missed moments and the honest cost of staying comfortable • forgiving someone who harmed you and trusting God's work • Peter learning salvation is for Gentiles and God works outside our boxes • making room to say “wow” at how big God is At outloudbible.com, you can find free resources to help you study the Bible. Recovery Happens Outside Your Comfort Zone If you stay where you're comfortable, you'll usually stay where you've always been. Growth requires discomfort. Think about your own recovery. Was it comfortable admitting powerlessness? Was it comfortable asking for help? Making amends? Walking into your first meeting? Calling a sponsor? Looking honestly at yourself during inventory? Probably not. Yet those uncomfortable moments often become the turning points that change our lives. The truth is, our comfort zone is often built around familiar thinking and familiar behavior—the very things that kept us sick. If we keep doing only what feels safe, we risk repeating the same patterns that brought us to recovery in the first place. Real recovery asks us to be willing to do something different. To have difficult conversations. To face uncomfortable truths. To let go of old beliefs. To trust the process even when we don't know the outcome. Today on The Daily Trudge, we're talking about why growth and comfort rarely exist in the same place, how fear keeps us stuck, and why stepping outside our comfort zone is often the first step toward freedom. Because the life you've always wanted may be waiting just outside the place you've always been afraid to leave. #TheDailyTrudge #Recovery #Sobriety #OneDayAtATime #Growth #ComfortZone #PersonalGrowth #AA #RecoveryJourney

Lesley Logan 0:01 Fuck yeah. Lesley Logan 0:02 Get ready for some wins. Welcome to the Be It Till You See It podcast where we talk about taking messy action, knowing that perfect is boring. I'm Lesley Logan, Pilates instructor and fitness business coach. I've trained thousands of people around the world and the number one thing I see stopping people from achieving anything is self-doubt. My friends, action brings clarity and it's the antidote to fear. Each week, my guest will bring bold, executable, intrinsic and targeted steps that you can use to put yourself first and Be It Till You See It. It's a practice, not a perfect. Let's get started. Lesley Logan 0:47 Hey, Be It babe, how are you? Welcome to our Friday episode. Oh my God, and on this Friday, it is a special. It's my dad's 74th birthday, so there's that. That's not what this episode's about. So we used to celebrate something inspiring on the internet, but let's be real, the internet's not so inspiring. It usually makes me pissed off at someone's rights we're losing. So we're changing it to something we actually do in our community. So if you're an Agency member, an eLevate member, you know the drill. You are allowed to need a moment. Sometimes you can complain, but you have to immediately have a win. So it's gonna go the thing I need a moment about, then my win, so I don't just vomit on you, or it could be someone else's moment and their win, like Brad's or a friend who says any, and then it's your win. And if you want to need a moment and have a win, you can send that in to beitpod.com/questions. We'll have to change that link, but for now, beitpod.com/questions will allow you to fill out a form, and then we can shout your wins and moments out if you want. But you can't send a moment in without a win, so don't come complaining at me and not have a win. Don't make me come ask for it. I'm just gonna go, not even listening, not here to just take the dump. You got to have both. Lesley Logan 1:56 So, my moment right now is, okay, I am at the airport on this date, and think about this airport. I actually like this airport that I have to fly out of. But what annoys me is that this TSA is different than other TSAs. And how come, in the US, every airport, whether I have TSA PreCheck, Clear, I'm shoved in with the regular people, sorry, people who are regular people, I'm shoved into the regular security, but with a sign that I have TSA. How come it's different? How come sometimes your shoes are on, sometimes your shoes are off, sometimes there's a computer in, sometimes it's not? And then they yell at you like you should know. I'm like, oh, should I take the computer out? No. And it's like, okay, right. But the last airport I was just at yesterday wanted my computer. These are not stupid questions. I'm not an idiot. I can hear you, you know, I'm sure. And here's a, I know your job sucks. We don't pay you when our government doesn't do its fucking work, you know? So I get it, but also, especially if I'm in TSA PreCheck or Clear, I clearly am someone who flies a lot. So treat me a little bit like it's a legit question, that's all I'm saying. And also, is it too much to ask that we're either keeping the shoes on, we're keeping them off, we're putting the computers in the bags, we're taking them out? Just have a sign, then that would be really easy. A lot of the signs they have are outdated, so you're doing what the sign says, and they're like, why are you doing that? It's like, because the sign back there said so. Just pissing me off. Lesley Logan 3:04 My win, since I just got all that out, my win that I'm celebrating, though, is that last month I taught at this really amazing, massive event. I taught the most people I've ever taught in my life in one space. I had the most fun doing it. I got out of my comfort zone in a massive way, a massive way. I stayed up later than I normally ever would, and I had a good time. And I just want to say, this old dog can do new tricks, right? So I'm really celebrating the fact that I've put myself into a situation that was a little bit out of my comfort zone, a lot of it outside of my comfort zone, but in order to spread the word of Pilates, and I got to do it in a big, massive way. And now I'm like, how can I do that all the time? That was a cool stage. I want to do that all the time. So, you never know. The things that scare you are the things that you're supposed to be doing, you know? Lesley Logan 4:09 So, okay, your wins. Leah sent, "My first classical reformer tower combo and Wunda Chair were delivered this week." Cool, Leah, that's so cool. I'm excited for you. Let me know if you have any questions on how to use it. I can't wait to see. If you're an OPC member, send videos of you doing exercises that you're confused on, and I'll give you feedback on that. And then, @justsheilz wrote, "Glad I was able to remain active recovering from three surgical procedures this year." You get that, Shields. You know what? Sometimes we just have health years, right? We just have them, and we have to go, okay, well, what can't I do? All right, thanks for that. And then focus on what you can do, and really lean into that. So, way to go, Shieldz. I'm so grateful for you. I'm also grateful that you join us each and every week on Sundays. Your feedback is wonderful, your questions are great, and your support is lovely. And I know that even though your body might still be recovering from some things, it's learning it, it's hearing it, and it's going to embody it when the time is right. So thank you so much. Lesley Logan 5:08 Okay, send your wins in, guys, because it's fun. Because when you hear it, it's like a month or two after you send it in, and you're probably having a bad day, and you're like, oh gosh, this is annoying. And then you hear your win, and you're like, oh, I had a great day the other day. How cool is that? All right, your mantra. My uniqueness is a beautiful part of me. My uniqueness is a beautiful part of me. My uniqueness is a beautiful part of me. Babe, your uniqueness is a beautiful part of you because, oh my God, if you were the same as everyone else, it would be boring, and you'd still have imposter syndrome. So ditch all those feelings, focus on your uniqueness, because it is a beautiful part of you. And until next time, Be It Till You See It.Lesley Logan 5:44 That's all I got for this episode of the Be It Till You See It Podcast. Who can you become if you dropped your made up limitations? In this episode, Marli is diving deep into your made rules of self-limitation. How often do we put ourselves into a limited, comfortable, predictable box and call it... "This is just who I am." Whether you realize it or not, you have rules about what you think you can handle, what you like, and what you have decided you will or won't do and its unconsciously capping your own expansion... and therefore the life you get to live. But transformation and growth doesn't happen inside the comfort zone. It happens the moment you willingly cross it.Tune in as we explore:How to identify the invisible "identity boxes" and rules you've built around your life and business. The power of doing the exact thing you once said you never would do, and how it instantly shatters your limitations. Why getting uncomfortable is the fast track to identity expansion and unlocking the next level of your life.Marli shares her own story of stepping completely out of her own element, and the profound realization that she had on the other side. It's time to stop letting your past definitions dictate your future capacity. Who could you become if you finally dropped the rules?
In this episode, Pastor David Armritzer-Romo encourages us to step out of our comfort zones. Drawing from King David's life , he reveals how speaking, doing, and expecting God's Word empowers us to rise above every obstacle. We Hope this message encourages you!
Good morning, my friends. Let's take a breath together… In through the nose… and out through the mouth. Today, I want to talk about something we all wrestle with quietly, privately, sometimes without even realizing it. That invisible little bubble we build around ourselves called "the comfort zone", and listen… comfort zones aren't bad. They're familiar. Predictable. Safe. They're the routines we know, the habits we've mastered, the identities we've worn for years. But here's the truth we don't always want to admit: Comfort zones feel safe… until they start feeling small. Why stepping out feels so hard Your brain is wired for efficiency, not growth. It loves patterns. It loves certainty. It loves knowing exactly what's going to happen next. So when you try to step outside that bubble even for something good your brain throws up alarms.“Hey… this is new.” “This is uncomfortable.” “Let's go back to what we know.”And that's not weakness. That's not laziness. That's not a character flaw. That's biology. But here's the beautiful part: You can train your brain to handle discomfort. You can build courage the same way you build muscle through repetition, through exposure, through movement.Movement as the training ground for courage This is why I love fitness. Not because of the aesthetics. Not because of the numbers. But because movement is one of the safest, most accessible ways to practice stepping out of your comfort zone.Think about it, when you push for one more rep… Your brain learns, “I can do hard things.” When you try a new class or a new exercise… Your brain learns, “I can be a beginner.” When you go for a walk even when you don't feel like it… Your brain learns, “I can act without motivation.” When your heart rate rises and you stay with it… Your brain learns, “Discomfort isn't danger.” Every time you move, you're not just training your body, you're training your mindset. Movement becomes a daily rehearsal for bravery. There was a time not too long ago when I avoided something simply because it felt unfamiliar. Not because I couldn't do it. Not because it was impossible. Just because it was new and because I didn't want to be "seen" because I felt so self-conscious teaching a group movement class (body dysmorphia sucks let me tell you)And the moment I finally stepped into it, I realized something powerful: The fear wasn't about the task. It was about the identity shift. Trying something new forces you to say, “I'm willing to be someone I haven't been yet.” and that's uncomfortable. But it's also where growth lives! then I began getting all the positive feedback and the classes were an instant hit which was everything to me to know people felt welcomed and had found value in the way I taught the class...Grounding Moment Time! Let's pause here. Wherever you are, sitting, standing, driving, walking, just take a moment to feel your feet on the ground. Feel your breath. Feel your body. Feel yourself arriving in this moment. Now ask yourself gently, without judgment: Where have I been playing small? Where have I been choosing comfort over growth? Where have I been waiting for the “right moment” to try something new? And now… offer yourself compassion. Because you're human and humans grow slowly, steadily, bravely, one step at a time.Your Monday Morning Brew Challenge Today, I want you to do one small thing that nudges you out of your comfort zone. Not a leap. Not a reinvention. Just a nudge.Maybe it's a 5‑minute walk before a tough meeting. Maybe it's trying a new exercise. Maybe it's saying yes to something that scares you a little. Maybe it's saying no to something that drains you.Whatever it is, let movement be your warm‑up. Let your body remind your brain: “I can do hard things. I can handle discomfort. I can grow.”You don't have to break out of your comfort zone in one dramatic moment. You don't have to flip your life upside down. You don't have to become fearless. You just have to step. One small, intentional step and every step teaches your brain that you're capable of more than you think. So here's to courage. Here's to growth. Here's to the tiny, powerful choices that shape who we become. Have a strong, grounded Monday, my friends. Let's keep moving forward together. like my Dad says "nunca des un paso atras, ni para impulso" which means "never take 1 step back, not even for a boost forward"... Thank you for taking time out of your day to spend it with me and I really do hope you enjoyed today's Monday morning brew series. If today's message helped you, share it with someone who might need it. Stay present, stay consistent, and keep building the identity you want to live in. Remember that You're capable, you're resilient, and you're not alone in this journey. Be a kind human, let us continue to help, let us continue to lift each-other up whenever possible... and remember that when it seems really dark when things are really tough... look for the helpers and always strive to be the change you want to see in the world... As always, take care of yourself, take care of your body, take care of your mind... I'll see you in the next episode!Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/fittalk-with-coach-luis--3261827/support.TEAM LTP:My IG: @livetoprogressVoice-over credits

In this episode of Modern Chiropractic Mastery, Dr. Kevin Christie sits down with Dr. Lauren Johnson to explore the transformative power of stepping out of your comfort zone. Together, they discuss how Lauren and her husband, Ben, built their successful practice, Nashville Chiropractic and Sports Therapy, by embracing discomfort and pursuing growth. Listeners will hear Dr. Johnson's personal journey of navigating the challenges of motherhood while managing a thriving practice, including the strategies she employed to ensure a smooth transition during maternity leave. The conversation highlights the importance of mentorship, financial planning, and the necessity of creating a supportive environment for associates who may not wish to pursue ownership themselves. As they explore the impact of the Mastermind group, Dr. Johnson discusses how the community has empowered her to sharpen her skills, build confidence in public speaking, and create lasting connections with fellow chiropractors. Packed with valuable insights, this episode is perfect for chiropractors who want to push beyond their comfort zones, elevate their practices, and deliver even better care to their patients.

We almost talked ourselves out of a new Memorial Weekend event because it wasn't the “guaranteed” move. The warnings, the what-ifs, the fear of the unfamiliar, all of it started steering the wheel. Then we showed up, set up shop, and realized how wrong we were. What we found was a family environment, promoters who actually value vendors, and the kind of customer energy that reminds you why you started in the first place. We break down the real entrepreneurship lesson hiding inside a weekend recap: comfort zones can look like responsibility, but they can quietly keep your business stuck. From reworking our vendor setup and display, to competing on quality in a crowded apparel row, to hearing encouragement from people who've been in the game for decades, we walk through the mindset shift that happens when you stop letting fear make decisions. If you care about small business growth, taking chances, and building confidence through action, you'll hear plenty to steal for your own life. Then the family side hits hard. We expected loud noises and stress with a toddler. Instead, our daughter became a mud truck and monster truck superfan and we got a full-circle moment that feels tied to Keith's dad and the memories that built him. We also share a big personal step coming up soon, because growth isn't just business, it's faith and follow-through too.If you've been hesitating on the thing you keep calling “not the right time,” hit play, then subscribe, share this with a friend who's stuck, and leave a review so more people can find the show. TASMAN SEA REFLECTIONS (Season 6 | Episode 239) with Tessa & Amir In this episode we reflect on traveling as open nesters during a cruise off the coast of New Zealand. We talk about being away from home for nearly three weeks, the first difficult days at sea, and what it feels like to try to stay present when the weather, the ship, and the journey are uncomfortable. TASMAN SEA REFLECTIONS We discuss the idea of openness to experience and how travel can bring up fear, anxiety, and questions about comfort zones. We speak about choosing to do things while we are still healthy and physically able, and about how different each of us is in how we respond to uncertainty and change. 2:03 Travel Expectations Shift 3:55 A Maori Encounter 6:08 Comfort Zones at Sea 10:43 Time, Freedom, and Change 15:42 Life Lessons From Travel 20:10 Closing Thoughts We share one of the strongest moments from the trip: meeting a woman connected to a heritage railroad and hearing about the Maori people, their language, and a concept linking land and placenta. We also describe the beauty of that encounter despite rain and difficult conditions, along with the challenging tender ride back to the ship. We talk about time, retirement, and mindset. We reflect on the freedom that comes from controlling our own time, and on the shift some people experience when they move from saving to spending, or from work into retirement. We also mention that open nesting can include many forms of travel and exploration, not only cruises. We close by focusing on what we call return on experience: the value of leaving the comfort zone, staying curious, and finding new ways to stay vital. We encourage listeners to keep imagining new places and new ways of living, whether through travel, local exploration, or other flexible arrangements. Solo Travel Outside Your Comfort Zone (Season 6 | Episode 238) with Mia Bolden In this episode we speak with Mia Bolden about her work with women's empowerment, coaching, and solo travel. We discuss how her own healing journey led her into fitness, speaking, and coaching, and how she began working with many women who were empty nesters, single, or starting over. Solo Travel Outside Your Comfort Zone We talk about the experiences that shaped her path, including body image struggles, low confidence, and the emotional work that came up through yoga and other healing practices. Mia explains how she created a women's fitness studio, taught yoga, and learned tools for releasing trauma and building confidence that she now uses in her work. 1:40 Healing Through Travel 9:30 Retreats and Release 16:19 Solo Travel Confidence 19:20 Women Find Freedom 22:36 Safety Without Fear 28:21 Comfort Zones in Travel We also focus on travel and retreats for women over 40. Mia describes how travel became part of her growth, how she came to lead retreats, and why she centers them on release, mindset work, journaling, and practical preparation for solo travel. She shares ways women can build confidence through staycations, local outings, dining alone, and other small steps before taking a bigger trip. We discuss the kinds of fears women bring up, including traveling alone, dealing with logistics, and leaving a spouse or family behind. Mia says she helps women respond with planning, research, and clearer self-talk, and she emphasizes trusting instincts and speaking from a more confident mindset. We also cover the impact these retreats have had on participants, especially women who felt they had not done enough as mothers or had never traveled alone before. Mia shares some of her favorite destinations, including Bali, Egypt, and Jamaica, and talks about how she plans trips, works with local partners, and thinks about safety and awareness while traveling. Is your company culture too nice to perform? In this solo episode of The Courageous Leaders Podcast, I break down the Challenge & Care Framework and why many teams are stuck in cultures that feel good on the surface but quietly damage standards, accountability, and results.I explore the four zones every workplace can fall into: apathy, comfort, fear, and courage, and how the best teams combine high care with high challenge.Because great leadership is not about being nice or being tough. In this episode of The Art of Living Well Podcast®, we share our experience attending a hiking and endurance retreat on Vancouver Island and the powerful lessons we brought home from it. The real estate industry has been selling you a lie. Getting out of your comfort zone sounds like growth advice — but most of the time it's just getting out of your alignment zone. And every time you override your intuition and get rewarded for it, you teach yourself to ignore the very thing that is your power and your connection to source. In this episode, I'm talking about what happens when you spend years doing what you're told — following the scripts, chasing the tactics, hustling toward someone else's version of success — and slowly lose touch with what you actually want, what lights you up, and what your big vision even is. We're going back to the foundation. The mindset work. The energy work. The alignment work. Because that is what actually moves the needle — not another lead gen strategy you don't believe in. I also share the story of a private coaching client who went from $200K in a year to $200K in six months. The shift wasn't a new script or a new system. It was her getting clear on this. If you've been feeling disconnected, scattered, or like you've lost the plot on what you're even building — this episode is for you.

What happens when God opens a door you didn't want — and your community pushes back? In Acts 11, Peter returns to Jerusalem and immediately faces criticism — not for what God did, but for where Peter was when He did it. The tension between religious tradition and a fresh move of God is as real today as it was then. This week on Midweek Move, we dig into what it actually looks like to recognize God's hand in something unexpected — and what it costs to say yes. Ask yourself this week: Is there a door God has opened that you've been hesitant to walk through? How do you know when something is truly from God — and not just your own desire?

This week we're discussing Getting Out of Our Comfort Zone. Most of us have a version of life we have quietly decided is good enough. Not thriving, maybe, but manageable. And when you are doing this alone, manageable starts to feel like a win. The problem is that manageable has a way of becoming permanent if nobody asks the harder question: is this actually where you want to stay? Robert Beeson, Founder and CEO of Solo Parent, and Elizabeth Cole, single parent and co-host, sit down with Amber Fuller, a counselor with a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy and single parent herself, to get honest about what the comfort zone actually costs and what it looks like to take one step out of it without blowing up the life you have worked hard to build. Key Insights from This Episode Familiar is not the same as free. What feels like stability may actually be avoidance wearing the clothes of comfort. There is a real difference between the growth zone and the panic zone. One stretches you with purpose; the other pushes you past your limits and burns you out. One small step is not a consolation prize. Starting smaller than you think you need to is exactly how lasting growth happens. God likes to call us out of our comfort zone, but often we hesitate out of fear—we like the comfort and safety of the life we have known. But stepping out in faith is where true growth happens. Edward Graham, Chief Operating Officer at Samaritan’s Purse, shares what God has taught him in leadership, both in the military but also in ministry. Hear how you, too, can step out in faith and obedience to the Lord, in whatever He has for you. Resources: • Learn more about how you can get involved with Samaritan’s Purse domestically and internationally. https://www.samaritanspurse.org/our-ministry/nam/#volunteer-now https://www.samaritanspurse.org/our-ministry/dart/ • Listen to “Suffering for Christ’s Sake” to hear stories of pastors who experienced intense persecution and how their faith sustained them.https://ontheground.samaritanspurse.org/podcast/suffering-for-christs-sake Highlights: Edward shares stories from his time in the military, where he chose to trust the Lord and seek Him for wisdom. He reads a passage from James that he continually goes to when he needs to turn away from doubt and towards belief. “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.” – James 1:5-8, ESV Now more than ever, Samaritan’s Purse has an opportunity to love our neighbors that are hurting in the Middle East. Our staff stand ready, training and preparing so when famine comes or disaster hits and everyone else is running away, we can respond in Jesus’ Name. “God expects us—when He entrusts us with His widow’s mite or with His people—to take prudent risk, to go out and multiply in the Gospel.” – Edward Graham Edward talks about trials he has faced in his own life and how they shaped him and encouraged his walk with the Lord. The story in the Bible where Peter walks on water shows Edward that sometimes in life God is calling us to get out of the boat. Often in our Western culture, we strive for comfort and ease. But that is not what the life of a Christian looks like. “Let's get out of the boat. Let's be part of miracles. You’ve got to challenge yourself. You’ve got to put yourself out there sometimes, and maybe it's your church, maybe it's your family, maybe it's your job and career. Somewhere you're safe in the boat. What do you do to take that step and go walk on water and go be part of a miracle?” – Edward Graham None of what is going on in our world surprises God. Kristy and Edward remind listeners that in this world we will have trouble, but we can take heart because Jesus has overcome the world. Edward asks for prayer for our staff and volunteers serving amid disasters and conflicts across the globe and for new endeavors that the ministry is embarking on within its aviation and U.S. rebuild programs. Your first big win can become your biggest limitation. In this episode of The Level Up Podcast, Paul Alex breaks down why early success is one of the most dangerous phases in business—and how comfort quietly turns momentum into stagnation. Because let's be real… Hitting $10K/month feels like freedom… But it can quickly become your ceiling. In this episode, you'll learn: Why comfort is the fastest way to stall your growth How early success tricks you into slowing down Why you must create your own pressure to keep scaling How to surround yourself with people operating at a higher level Because success doesn't come from coasting… It comes from continuous elevation. Most people hit a milestone and relax: Fewer reps Less urgency Lower standards But high-level operators? They raise the bar. Bigger goals Higher expectations Stronger environments No complacency. No comfort. No ceilings. Just: Relentless growth Aggressive targets And constant evolution The truth? The moment you get comfortable… Someone else is getting ahead. Your Network is your NETWORTH! The project becomes deeply personal after the loss of John Welch's mother, intertwining the life cycle of loons with his process of grieving, healing, and reflection. They also touch on the power of local projects, the importance of curiosity, and how working on a long-term photographic story can offer both creative fulfillment and personal growth.
