Fruit of the Spirit - Visible Growth in Jesus Christ "Fruit of the Spirit" is a biblical term that sums up the nine visible attributes of a true Christian life. Galatians 5:22-23, these attributes are: love, joy, peace, Patience, Kindness, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, and Self control. We learn from scripture that these are not individual "fruits" from which we pick and choose. Rather, the fruit of the Spirit is one nine-fold "fruit" that characterizes all who truly walk in the Holy Spirit. Collectively, these are the fruits that all Christians should be producing in their new lives with Jesus Christ. Fruit of the Spirit - The Nine Biblical AttributesThe fruit of the Spirit is a physical manifestation of a Christian's transformed life. In order to mature as believers, we should study and understand the attributes of the nine-fold fruit:

The future of America rests on the shoulders of the father. As the authority figure in your home, will you read the Word of God, pray with your children and lead them in the way of the Lord? Or will you let the schoolhouse and society raise your children? Pastor Bruton encourages fathers to be involved in their children’s lives, to know what they are listening to and the shows they are watching. Don’t follow Hollywood’s version of what the father should look like. We are to follow God’s plan, to be a living portrait of His will for our lives. The father is the prophet of the family in God’s economy. He is the guiding priest for the members of his household. In the Word of God he is the unquestioned leader. Pastor Bruton gives us scriptural guidance for how the father can lead a healthy household in the way of the Lord.
Join New Song church as they begin a new journey together in 2013. Pastor Mark leads us in a Bitterness funeral. After this teaching on bitterness and forgiveness, we actually brought our bitterness slips up and placed them in a casket. We then buried them at the local cemetery where they belong.
In this sermon, Pastor Mark Bruton Discusses the fact that even though we live in a scary, perilous time, You do not have to live with fear and worry. Fear is the single biggest problem that most of us face. It pretty much underpins every other problem we face in our life. It is insidious. It creeps upon us without us even realizing, slowly taking over our lives, until eventually it steals them. It steals our confidence, makes us feel insecure, affects our relationships and stops us doing things. It becomes so deeply embedded within us that most of the time we don’t even realize that it is there, it becomes part of who we are. God has a much better plan. You can begin to live with "GODFIDENCE"
Pastor Mark Bruton preaches the 2nd in a a series of sermons on the importance of Spiritual Fitness in this fearful world we live in.To keep physically fit is work and takes commitment, even when we may not feel like working out. But, go one day, one week, one month or a year without exercise and you know what happens. In fact, go long enough and you won’t even miss it. The weaker you get the less energy and motivation you possess to begin a program that will make you stronger and healthier … these are the facts of life.Spiritual fitness follows the same path as does physical fitness … it’s work. However, just as with physical fitness, once you are established in a good spiritual regimen and begin to see progress, you can get addicted to it and just don’t feel complete unless you spend that dedicated time in the word and prayer. Spiritual fitness is its own reward and gives a person added protection from all kinds of ailments and injuries which readily plague other, weaker believers.
