God taught me about prayer through intimate conversations. He showed me how to accept “daily bread” as He defines it, not based on my struggles or pain. His goodness defined my need, bringing comfort and trust.

Until we become the answer to our own prayers by making the choice to get involved in the lives of those who live around us, we are not yet a part of God's mission to the heartrending and often silent cries of harassed and helpless people in need of God who live all around us.

For eight hours overnight, our Sovereignty Coalition convened a Freedom Prayer event appealing to the Lord to defeat the Biden administration's determined efforts to surrender our sovereignty to the World Health Organization. This effort took on fresh urgency as the WHO's Director General – who stands to become the most powerful man in history if either of the two proposed treaties is passed – has promised to “try everything” necessary to get them approved this week by the World Health Assembly. An answer to prayer was received on Saturday, however, when President Trump denounced what is afoot. He declared: “I am hereby demanding that Joe Biden submit these monstrosities to the Senate as Treaties… because he cannot be allowed…to destroy our country. If he does not, I will rip them up and throw them out on Day One of the Trump administration.” Hallelujah. This is Frank Gaffney.

As Christian women who love the Lord praying fervently and in faith for healing only to find out that the healing will not happen on this side of heaven is not something we're unfamiliar with. And sometimes it can especially sting when you're feeling confident in your spirit or when things seems to be going well in the physical. In today's episode I'm sharing three key mindsets I cling to when God's answer to prayer is no. Are you ready to create a wardrobe you're confident wearing? Finding our True Self is the purpose of the Holy Spirit's curriculum. The nature of the ego is fear, and we know that all too well. We are not so aware of our Reality, which is aligned with the Will of God. But our true Will is the same as the Will of God. God's Will for us is Perfect Happiness and Absolute Love. The Will is full awareness of our True Self. Fear abides in the things that we "know." The self we made up is full of fear, and we choose it over our the Self God created. It is insane to cling to the false self that is rooted in fear. But this is what we do. We can accept our Reality is Love, Truth, Joy, Perfect Happiness, etc. All else is a bad dream we made up.
Dean Luurtsma is a lifelong resident of Ottawa County, Michigan. He senses a call and equipping from the Lord to follow the Lord and love the Lord with all of his heart, soul, mind and strength. Dean is a small businessman, father, and lay evangelist. When the baby body parts from abortions scandal broke in 2015, he believes he was awakened fully from his slumber to diligently try to let his light shine in the greater Grand Rapids area. Dean is grateful that, through God's providential leading, the Lord connected him with his co-laborers in the Gospel, including Stephen Nylen and Jordan Sweezer. In this podcast, Dean describes his call to ministry, his heart for the unborn, and his grief for our arch-enemy Satan rejoicing over the shed blood of the innocent. He also describes a miraculous answer to prayer which totally removed surgical abortions from Grand Rapids just a few weeks ago. He hopes this answer to prayer could be the start of a growing move of God in our region through revival and spiritual awakening. Also, in this podcast, Randy briefly shares what is the heart behind legal abortion—insisting we build a wall between sex and the children God might wish to be produced through our sexual intimacy. While most Christ-followers don't abort, they do take deliberate action to have sex without the possibility of producing a child thereby. So, same goal as those who have abortions; same result (no baby born alive); just a different means. No wonder many Christians are ambivalent about those who have abortions. We sympathize with their motivation; we just don't like the means used.
In this episode, Scott and Erin Kirchoff join Amber and Erin to talk about Habakkuk 1:5-11 and what it has looked like in their lives to receive unwanted answers to prayer.
Our encouragement today comes from seeing God at work. I had written my daily prayer in my journal and almost instantly God started to unfold His glory, majesty, and beauty in an answer to prayer! I'm constantly amazed and in awe! Keep on praying!
Consider four statements as we reflect on this passage
How would you describe your prayer life? God's Invitation in Prayer: Four Stages Stage 1. Is to meet with Him daily and share our needs and concerns with Him. (Appointment with God). 1 John 1:3 Stage 2. Is to intimately know Him: Who He is. (Communion - Knowing God). Philippians 3:10 Stage 3. Is to participate with Him in His purposes. (Participation in His purpose). Romans 8:28 Stage 4. Is to become partners with Him in all His ways. (Partnership in His ways). 1 Corinthians 1:9

Prayer is our way to connect with God, not necessarily get what we want out of him. As long as we focus on the real reason for prayer, we will always find strength and intimacy in it.Subscribe to daily devotions e-mails: https://wcm.link/ddsub
Hearts that remain firm through trials don't depend on their own strength, but hang on the steadfastness of Christ.

Elizabeth. Mary. The Samaritan Woman. Lydia. Martha. Priscilla. Each of these women encountered Jesus in a personal way. This month, we will look at women of the New Testament, walking with them as they come face to face with Jesus. Their stories will encourage all of us, both men and women, to follow expectantly after Jesus. Today, we begin in Luke chapter 1. Elizabeth’s name means “God is my oath.” We learn that Elizabeth was of the priestly line of Aaron just like her husband Zechariah, and she was old. Being both old and barren was a personal tragedy and a public “disgrace” (v. 25). Despite her pain and humiliation, Elizabeth and Zechariah were “blameless” according to all the commandments of the Lord (v. 6). She did not allow her barrenness to foster bitterness. Instead, she continued to serve, to obey, and to pray (v. 13). God answered their prayers beyond what they could have anticipated. They simply longed for a child. But the angel Gabriel brought good news of a son who would bring both personal joy and corporate redemption. This child, an unexpected gift in their later years, would lead many to the Lord. When Zechariah questioned the angel’s message, he was struck mute. Can you imagine his attempt to tell Elizabeth what had happened when he went back home (v. 23)? What a remarkable game of charades that must have been! Elizabeth stayed secluded for five months. Perhaps she feared a miscarriage and wanted to protect her health. Perhaps she wanted to savor the experience in solitude. Or she was concerned about the community’s confusion and questioning. No matter the reason, her heart was full of gratitude. >> Where are you in following Jesus? Whether you are just beginning your journey or are advanced in years, like Elizabeth and Zechariah, we hope this story will encourage you. Ask the Lord to soften your heart like Elizabeth’s to obedience and humble gratitude.
Daniel prayed to the Lord and the Lord answered his prayer with a promise: The Lord is going to act through His Anointed One and usher in a time of redemption and freedom (Jubilee). To bring rebellion to an end, put a stop to sin, atone for iniquity, bring in everlasting righteousness, confirming the prophetic vision, and anointing a most holy person. These events are fulfilled in the person of Jesus.
