We can no longer pretend that we have had a real opportunity to advocate for our children. The reality is there is no oversight and our families have not had the opportunity to engage in parent involvement. The reality is that so many parents have to work they have not had the time to volunteer and then when they had the ability it never seems to make it to the level of oversight.
