Scott Presler of Early Vote Action joins Dawn to expand on the game plan the GOP needs to follow with early and mail in voting. Read more about Early Vote Action below. Early Vote Action PA (“EVA”) was created to achieve a strict purpose — organize & mobilize Republicans to vote early, so that by the time Election Day rolls around, the Republican victory is already baked in. At EVA, we're intent on marshaling the time, labor, and resources of conservatives around the country to achieve this goal in 2024, with a specific focus on the key swing states of Arizona, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. The foremost goal for Republicans in 2024 is to take back the White House, and the path to 270 Electoral College votes runs through these five key swing states. If we win these swing states, Republicans will retake the Senate, strengthen our hold on the House, retake the North Carolina Governor's Mansion, retake the Nevada Legislature, strengthen our holds on the other respective states' legislatures, and see victories in down-ballot races at the county and local levels. It will be efficient, precise trickle-down organizing & mobilizing. Importantly, also, at EVA we're working to ensure that Republicans from every state are operating not merely as 50 disjointed operations, but rather as one team of concerned American conservatives fighting to win the necessary electoral fights to retake our country. Because if we retake these five key states, we can continue our movement's march into every state across the country with powerful momentum, until every state on the map is ruby Republican red! Whether you're in Tulsa or Jersey City, Bar Harbor or Anchorage, at EVA we are ready to connect with you to organize teams of conservative Americans, build phone banks and letter writing centers, provide the requisite data to engage with the voters we need to get to the polls, and get them to the polls early. We're ready to win, and we're intent on ensuring that our path to victory begins on the day ballots go out. To reach this goal, we need you on our team, because when we organize and mobilize we win. Tune in 10 AM - 12 PM EST weekdays on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT; or on the Audacy app!

Bellinger robbed Kyle Tucker of extra bases when he leaped and crashed into the padded wall just in front of the Houston bullpen in right-center. The 2019 National League MVP appeared to turn his left ankle when he landed after making the grab and crumpled to the ground. Manager David Ross said after the game he believed Bellinger avoided a serious injury. He said team doctors didn’t find any ligament damage. MLB – Oakland A’s reach agreement for potential stadium site on Las Vegas Strip The Oakland Athletics have reached an agreement with Bally’s and Gaming & Leisure Properties to build a potential stadium on the Tropicana hotel site along the Las Vegas Strip. The A’s are asking for nearly $400 million in public support from the Nevada Legislature, which could vote on a proposal this week. MLB’s new pitch clock may be leading to more blown saves The pitch clock has sped up baseball as hoped, and it might be leading to more exciting endings, too. A quarter of the way through Major League Baseball’s first season with the pitch timer, relief pitchers seem to be bearing the most stress from it, with save conversions dropping to 61.4% from 67.8% at a similar point last season. The save percentage is near the bottom range of the past decade, which averaged 65.1%, MLB said Monday. The high was 70% in 2015 and the low 61% in the pandemic-shortened 2020 season. Pitchers say the stress of the late innings has become more difficult to process with the pitch clock. The Nevada Legislature passed a major deadline on Friday. Bills needed to be passed out of committee, otherwise, they're dead, but the governor's legislation didn't have the same deadline. KUNR's Lucia Starbuck spoke with Sondra Cosgrove, a history professor at the College of Southern Nevada, to learn what happens next.
The Nevada Legislature passed a major deadline on Friday, where all bills must have passed out of their first committee. Those that didn't are dead for the most part. Now, they'll need to be passed by both houses with identical language and signed or vetoed by Nevada's Republican governor to become law.
Today on NSN Daily, Shannon Kelly and Chris Murray are joined out at Wolf Pack football practice by Chris Smalley who shares his secrets to putting on weight for football season. The Nevada Legislature only meets every other year, for 120 days. That's not a very long time to do all the legislative business of the state, including passing the state's budget. Recently elected governor Joe Lombardo recently presented his State of the State address outlining his priorities, and on this week's episode of Renoites, we are welcoming Nevada Assembly Member from District 27, Angie Taylor. Angie previously served at the president of the Washoe County School Board, and this will be her first term in the Nevada Assembly. On this episode, Conor and Angie discuss her history on the school board and dealing with challenging situations like lawsuits and increasing politicization, how the Nevada Legislature operates from legislation being proposed in Bill Draft Requests (BDRs) all the way to being signed (or not signed) by the governor, working in a divided government with a Democratic-majority legislature but a Republican governor, and much more! You can follow the happenings of the legislature at https://www.leg.state.nv.us/ including tracking BDRs that you may be interested in, and many excellent local journalists will be covering the happenings as the session progresses. Thank you so much for listening, and if you have guest or topic suggestions, please email me at conor@renoites.com If you'd like to help Renoites eventually become financially sustainable and remain independent, please consider signing up to donate as little as a few dollars a month at http://www.patreon.com/renoites This season of Renoites is produced by Conor McQuivey, Lynn Lazaro, and Ember Braun.

This week we welcome Jonathan Oceguera to the podcast for a special pre-election-day episode to discuss the tight Senate and Gubernatorial races in Nevada as well as his unique entry-point into politics as a retired firefighter. John runs Strategies 360's Nevada operations, overseeing a diverse mix of clients from corporations and nonprofits to campaigns and candidates. John formerly served as Speaker of the Nevada Assembly and was an elected representative in the Nevada Legislature for 12 years. He held a variety of leadership positions and chaired numerous committees, including Commerce and Labor, and Transportation. As Speaker of the Assembly in 2011, John worked with his colleagues in both houses and parties to ensure the state budget was balanced, while providing additional funding for education and other essential state services. In addition to his legislative service, John had a 20-year career with the North Las Vegas Fire Department, working as firefighter, paramedic, engineer, captain, battalion chief and retiring as an assistant chief in 2011. As assistant chief, he developed, implemented a comprehensive emergency operations program, and managed 220 personnel and a multi-million-dollar budget. John has also served on numerous boards and in many different leadership positions. He was named “Elected Official of the Year” by the American Heart Association and the National Association of Social Workers, Nevada Chapter. John received a “Top 40 Under 40” award from In Business Las Vegas and was named “Consumer Advocate of the Year” by the Nevada Trial Lawyers. John's most cherished honor was having his name placed on the Distinguished Service Wall at the Nevada Firefighters Memorial, joining only 17 other firefighters who have been so honored.
