In this episode of the Ancient Health Podcast, Dr. Chris Motley explores the intricate relationship between trauma, fascia, and self-regulation. He discusses how trauma is stored in the body, particularly in the fascial system, and how this can lead to physical and emotional health issues. Dr. Motley emphasizes the importance of understanding the body's memory and the techniques available for releasing trauma, including herbal remedies and self-care practices for emotional healing. ------  Show notes:   Herbs: * Rehmannia * Licorice Root * Schisandra: https://shorturl.at/gLmfM * Reishi: https://tinyurl.com/4rrce3d7 * Lion's Mane * The Body Keeps the Score by Bessell Van der Kolk * CES Ultra - Vagus Nerve Stimulator * Dr. Perry - @stopchasingpain Takeaways Trauma is stored in the body and can lead to physical issues. Emotional trauma can affect physical health and vice versa. Techniques like EMDR and somatic therapies can help release trauma. Fascia encodes emotional and energetic imprints, serving as a memory storage. The connection between fascia and DNA is crucial for understanding trauma. Chapter 29: Letty gives Tim his final lesson.By LiminallySpaced. Listen to the Podcast at Explicit Novels. After our first tryst, it had been me that had tried to initiate a repeat, succumbing to my own lust and frustration, but Kerri had turned me away, always citing spending the evening with Mike as the reason why, but also always providing me with photographic aftermath to tide me over. But now Kerri was reaching out to me, and her pictures were implying that she was definitely not getting what she needed from Mike. I wasn't sure what that meant for them and their relationship, but at that moment my mind was on the good news this was for my balls, and not the potential bad news it was for them."Show me how bad you want it" I wrote back. I needed a quick solution to my problem, and Kerri was offering it, but that didn't mean I couldn't tease her a bit. What came back shortly after was a second series of photos, a wanton expression of Kerri's arousal. The first was a high, downward angle shot capturing Kerri, on her knees, tits out, looking up at the lens. The point of view was clearly meant to mimic me looking down at her, and by the way her mouth hung open, it was clear what she wanted. My cock surged as I thought back to our first encounter when she greeted me that exact same way, and I crossed the distance between us to slip my cock between her lips. The second was a shot of Kerri from behind, up on her bed. She was on her hands and elbows, her back arched in a severe swoop. Her toned, perfect ass was angled toward the camera, her legs spread wide, giving me a full, delicious view of her cunt. A cunt that was already swollen and wide, and already glistening with moisture. My cock was rock hard now, imagining tasting that wet cunt, of sliding myself into her from behind, but still I wanted to tease more yet."You look delicious," I wrote back, "but I want to see more. I want to watch you cum."I idly pawed at my erection through my pants as I waited for a response. As minutes ticked by, I got momentarily worried that maybe I had asked for too much, but at the same time I recognized that we had gone so far past any lines of decency or respectability at this point that surely I had nothing to worry about.Kerri very quickly assuaged any concerns with her newest message finally came through attached with a video file. The video began with Kerri in nothing but a thin, sheer robe adjusting her camera into the perfect position. Stepping back from the camera, she did a quick pose, ruffling her big mane of curly, black hair, then set down in a comfortable-looking lounge chair directly in front of it.I made a note to myself to fuck her in that chair at some point.Staring deeply into the lens, Kerri ran her hands over her body seductively, teasing me by gently butterflying her thighs in and out, giving me a peek, but never enough to see everything.Hard nipples pushing through the thin fabric of her robe, her hands slowly slid up and opened the folds of the garment, giving me a full view of her thick, olive breasts. She smiled and sighed as she caressed them, squeezed them and kneaded them. Her hands dripped down the front of her body until they came to rest on the insides of her thighs, still gently butterflying in excitement. Then, like the parting of the Red Sea, she pushed her thighs wide, and finally gave me an unobscured look at her perfect, swollen lips. One hand jumped back up to her mouth where she took two fingers between her lips, suckling them like they were my cock in order to wet them. Then the two juicy fingers traveled back down between her legs and began exploring her cunt.Gasps and moans accompanied her swirling fingers as they danced around her clit and dipped deep into her tight canal, and soon I watched her body start to focus on the sensations as she settled into a rhythm. Her brow scrunched up, her eyes closed, her mouth began to hang open, and I watched as the world around her fell away. The only thing that existed for her in that moment was her pleasure.I squeezed my cock through my pants again. I was as desperate for release as she was, entranced by the only sounds coming through my speakers, the slight, wet sloshing sounds of a cunt being pleasured. The short gasps and squeaks of a girl about to cum.And cum she did. Kerri's moans ramped up in pace and volume. Her body stiffened, and her thighs clamped shut around her thrusting fingers. She gripped the armrest of the chair as she rode out her pleasure, only loosening their clamp on the fabric when her moans faded and her breath settledKerri took a moment to bask in the afterglow of her orgasm, smiling to herself, but soon her eyes found the lens of the camera again. Smile melting into lusty desire, she slipped off the chair and crawled towards me until her face was the only thing in frame."I need your cock," she said, through still-settling breaths, "so get the fuck over here. Now."Who was I to refuse?I made my way to her house in record time, and took the stairs two at a time to get to her room. My hands were already working on my belt as I passed into her room, and upon my arrival she met me halfway, on her knees, adding her hands to the desperate freeing of my cock.We both gasped as my erection sprang into view, and Kerri wasted no time taking me into her mouth. She gripped my pants tight as she sucked, speeding her lips and tongue up and down my shaft. Pleasure ripped through my body as she devoured my cock, and my hands gripped her hair tight as she enthusiastically fellated me.My hips began to buck and thrust as I matched her slippery lips, meeting each slide downward with a forward thrust of my own. One of her hands left their grip on my pants and joined her mouth on my cock. The driving of my hips was getting harder, deeper, and the extra distance my cock had to travel through her fingers ensured I wasn't in danger of choking her as she took my thick erection into her warm mouth."Fuck, fuck, I'm gonna cum!" I bellowed, but Kerri made no attempt to slow her sweet suction. I cried out one more time as my balls lurched toward her chin. My cock flared and pulsed, and Kerri's body held still as my cum pulsed hard and deep into her mouth. Gripping her hair tight, I felt her swallow once, twice, three times. I filled her mouth as this Greek goddess pulled every drop of pleasure out of my aching balls and sent it down her throat.Pulsing subsided, and breath returning to normal, Kerri gently slipped backward, drawing my cock out from between her lips agonizingly slow."There, we're even," she said with a smile, a small trickle of my escaped semen clinging to her chin, "now we can focus on round two."I smiled back, hardly believing the eroticism exuding off the girl kneeling in front of me. I took off the rest of my clothes.Round two was left us both breathless again, and the night ended with her thick thighs squeezing me tight, her cunt orgasming around my newly hard cock. Soon her body set me off too, my balls sending a second load careening into her body as I fucked her from behind in the very position she had taken in that picture. It was lovely. She was lovely. And it was the beginning of a series of trysts that kept my cock hard, my balls empty, and my mind off of Christine. We didn't talk about the why of it, or really talk that much at all; I think it made it easier for us that way. There would just generally be a message, an expression of want and need from one to the other, and if the timing was right I'd soon find myself balls-deep in Kerri's mouth or cunt, filling her to the brim with every drop I had.The way Kerri took my cock was absolutely sublime. Her body needed my cock; needed my cum; and I was more than happy to give it to her. Her thick athletic body pitched and rolled with me perfectly, and was cushioned in just the right places to take even the hardest strokes. Sex with Stephanie had been amazing, but the excitement of experiencing a woman sexually for the first time always seemed to give our lovemaking a certain teacher-and-student vibe. With Kerri I felt like we were equals. We had a sexual chemistry that made us feel like teammates working together for the same goal, and the forbidden, fleeting nature of our arrangement allowed us the freedom to play and explore in ways I don't think either of us really had with any partner up to that point."No one's ever done that to me before, you know," she said one evening as we laid together on the thick shag of the area rug in her living room, cooling down from a raucous first round. We hadn't even made it entirely out of our clothes before I had bent her over her parents' coffee table and hurriedly pushed into her from behind.Shirt off, bra on, skirt bunched around her waist above the delicious flair of her sweet apple, we both gasped at the air in lusty need as I quickly found a rhythm for my thrusts. A loud, breathy moan welcomed me each time I bottomed out deep in her soaked center, and I could feel the tension rise inside her as her orgasm fast approached. The pleasure was mounting, overtaking both of us, and without warning I raised one hand and brought it down hard on the meat of her ass. This wasn't unusual, as I had spanked her ass before, and her cries of affirmative pleasure were just as loud this time as they had been in previous encounters. What was different this time was what I had done next.Feeling both our orgasms nearing their eruption, spurred on by the abandon of the wild spanking, when my hand came down on her cheek the final time, I repositioned my grip to stabilize myself, and in doing so pressed the meat of my thumb gently against Kerri's puckered asshole."Oh yes!" she cried, loud and long, at just the merest pressure on her rear. The pressure was building, I could feel her beginning to tremble around me as my cock surged forward harder than ever. Sweat rolled down my wrist and over my thumb. I felt the liquid pool at the entrance to her exit, and in the heat of the moment I slowly applied more pressure, and felt the very tip of my thumb slip past her sphincter."fuck!" she bellowed and shook, her body almost immediately exploding in orgasm. "Fuck, oh, fuck, Yes!" she cried. It wasn't the first time I had felt her cunt spasm around my cock, but what was new for me was the feeling of her asshole spasming around my thumb, and it sent me rocketing over the edge.My cries joined hers and I pushed into her deep and long one last time, and held myself there tight against her as I pumped her orgasming body full of hot jizz."Never with Mike?" I asked, idly stroking the top of her bra-covered cleavage as we lounged and recharged."No, not even with Mike." She paused for a moment, deciding whether or not to continue to open up. "I've only had sex with one other guy besides Mike, and, there's actually quite a few things I've done for the first time thanks to you. Things I am absolutely fucking LOVING, by the way." She laughed"Oh, yeah? Like what?" I said, intrigued to learn more about her."Well obviously your finger in my ass was a first," she said in a syrupy tone, "and I didn't know I liked being watched, and I had never had a guy cum on me until you wanted to see Mike finish on my tits that first time""Didn't have much sex with the first guy?""No, no, we had sex all the time, but it was just, it was all new, you know? We fucked to fuck, not to find out what we really liked. That's all it really is at first. The experience itself is the high; it feels good, but neither of you really know why or how yet.""Yeah, I know what you mean." I said solemnly, remembering my nights with Stephanie. "That's why we're doing this, isn't it?" I said after a moment"I think so," she said quietly, "Mike's a great guy, but, I'm his first. And he's excited, he's eager, and we have lots of fun, but I just think we're looking for different things right now, physically.""So why go behind his back?" I asked as non-judgmentally as possible, "why not just break up with him?""Because I like having a boyfriend. It's fun." she said, shifting her weight so her hips flared out even more, "And because the sneaking turns me on. And right now I'm very interested in exploring what turns me on."It made sense in the moment, and her honesty was refreshing. I was interested in turn ons too, and the thought of Kerri with another man, exploring her newfound sexuality was quite a turn on.I wanted to know more."Your first was Bill Dorsett, right?" I asked, remembering the guy Kerri dated right before Mike."No, Bill and I never had sex.""Never? I find that hard to believe, knowing you the way I do now" I said with a slight chuckle."Oh, I wanted to, but he had this weird hang up about it. I probably swallowed a gallon of his cum though," she laughed."Oh yeah?" I said, feeling my cock begin to thicken"Yeah, he was a total fiend for head. He tried to return the favor plenty, too, but the boy was, not talented. Which is why we didn't go out that long.""And in all that time sucking his cock, he never wanted to cum on your tits, or your face or anything?"No, he was very, particular," she said with another chuckle, "the only thing he wanted on his cock was my mouth, and when he came he liked to hold my head, which I hated.""Oh, really? I'm sorry, I know I; " I started, realizing I had done that to her a number of times, not even thinking to ask if it was ok"No, no, don't apologize," she said, cutting me off, "I like it when you do it."My cock twitched."How was his cock?""It was fine, average. Good size for sucking."My cock twitched again."So who was your first, then?""This kid named Matt who went to Belmont. The girls and boys soccer teams would always travel together and share game days, and I kept seeing this guy from their boys team watching me when we played. He was hot, too. Made it hard to focus on the game.""Umm, tell me more," I said. The story was beginning to stoke the heat inside me, and I slowly slid my hand down Kerri's body seductively."Well, after one of my games, the boys game had started and I noticed he wasn't playing. The girls had snuck some booze in water bottles so I was a little buzzed, and decided it was time to talk to him. He had been injured and was out for a couple weeks, which was pretty good timing."My hand started softly stroking the tops of her thighs. She shifted slightly beneath my touch, and her breath got deeper."We talked, and hit it off, and so when his team hit the field for the second half, he and I snuck off to my team's bus, and I,” she stopped and sucked in a breath as my fingers danced around her small strip of pubic hair."Yes?" I said softly."And I sucked his dick." she breathed. "And then, like a week later, we met up and he, he fucked me in his car.""Did you swallow when you sucked him off?""Yes," she breathed again as I tickled her thighs."Did he return the favor?""With, with his fingers.""I see," I said, dipping my own fingers down over her pubic bone and between her already soaked cunt lips. "Like this?""Yes," Kerri moaned as my fingers slipped inside her."Was he the first cock you sucked?"

“Emotions need motion” - Paul Denniston Grief is an emotion that many of us try to avoid. But what happens when we don't let it out? In this episode, we explore how hidden grief can get stuck in the body, causing tight shoulders, stomach pain, and nonstop anxiety. Paul Denniston, founder of Grief Yoga, joins Dr. Aimie to explain that grief doesn't simply disappear when ignored. Instead, it hides in our muscles and body, making them hurt or feel uncomfortable. This conversation sheds light on how movement and even laughter can let the feelings out of our bodies in a safe way. We'll talk more about: How grief physically manifests in the body Why movement is essential for trauma healing How to recognize if what you're feeling is grief (even if it looks like anxiety or anger) The power in creating dedicated time and space for grief expression Learning how to sit with grief safely so it doesn't feel too overwhelming How laughter can be used to access deeper grief How practitioners can hold space for others' grief without becoming overwhelmed themselves The physical and emotional benefits of moving grief through the body  And more!   Whether you're a practitioner working with grief, someone supporting a loved one through loss, or navigating your own healing journey, this episode shares insights into transforming pain through movement practices that incorporate breath, sound, and embodied awareness.   Paul Denniston is the founder of Grief Yoga®, which uses yoga, movement, breath, and sound to release pain and suffering and connect to love. Welcome to the Triple P Life Podcast! In this episode, Dr. Jay LaGuardia welcomes Dr. Bradley Nelson, the author of the bestselling books "The Emotion Code" and "The Body Code," to discuss the often-overlooked emotional component of overall well-being. Dr. Nelson explains how unresolved emotions can become trapped in the body, leading to physical ailments, emotional distress, and hindering the healing process. They explore the concept of trapped emotions, the "emotional loop," and how the Emotion Code can help individuals identify and release this emotional baggage to improve their physical, emotional, and spiritual health. Episode Takeaways: Emotional well-being is a crucial element of overall health, alongside physical and spiritual aspects. You cannot be truly well if you neglect your emotional state. Unresolved emotions can become "trapped" in the body as energy, potentially manifesting as physical pain, disease, or emotional issues like anxiety and depression. The "emotional loop" describes the normal processing of emotions, but sometimes this loop gets stuck open, leading to trapped emotions. The Emotion Code is a method developed by Dr. Nelson to identify and release these trapped emotional energies using muscle testing and intention. Releasing trapped emotions can lead to significant improvements in physical symptoms, emotional well-being, and even the ability to forgive and move on from past hurts. Dr. Nelson has found that a vast majority of physical pain and disease processes have an emotional component. The Body Code is a more comprehensive system that addresses six categories of imbalances affecting health: energies (including trapped emotions), pathogens, circuits and systems, misalignments, toxins, and nutrition and lifestyle. The subconscious mind acts like a powerful computer that can be accessed through muscle testing to identify underlying imbalances. Dr. Nelson is releasing a new book called "The Heart Code" focusing specifically on "heart walls," which are emotional energies trapped around the heart that can hinder connection and well-being. 00:00 - Introduction to Emotional Well-being 02:14 - Introducing Dr. Bradley Nelson 04:38 - The Computer, Prayer, and Chiropractic 07:12 - The Emotional Loop Explained 09:51 - Releasing Trapped Emotions with Magnets 12:15 - *Emotion Code*: A Deeper Dive 14:40 - Consciousness, Awareness, and Trauma 17:22 - Deleting Emotional Energy 19:45 - Emotional Baggage in Animals 21:58 - Emotional vs. Physical Issues 24:10 - Training Practitioners in the *Emotion Code* 26:35 - Limitations of Western Medicine 29:01 - The Body Code System 31:18 - Symptoms and Imbalances 33:33 - Common Conditions and Open Loops 35:50 - Vibrational Tone Scale and Emotions 38:14 - The Hot Air Balloon Analogy 40:37 - *Emotion Code* vs. *Body Code* 42:50 - The Heart Wall and the Heart Code 45:18 - The Six Imbalance Categories 47:30 - Wrap Up and Contact Information Find all things Triple P Life by visiting the website. How can digital art cement its place in contemporary culture? Can NFTs and blockchain technology continue to bridge the gap between artists and major institutions? As dialogue around digital art continues to evolve, questions of legitimacy, value, and long-term impact remain central to the conversation. In this episode of Object Subject Form, we examine how digital art is gaining recognition in major institutions and how emerging technologies are reshaping the art world. Currently the GM of CryptoPunks, Natalie Stone leads the iconic collection that ignited a contemporary digital art movement, with pieces in the permanent collections of institutions such as the Centre Pompidou, LACMA, and ICA Miami. She played a key role in CryptoPunks: Free to Claim, a Phaidon-published project with Zak Group that chronicles the rise of CryptoPunks and their cultural significance. Formerly at Google, she led Google I/O, crafted VR/AR experiences with artists like Childish Gambino and LCD Soundsystem, and developed an experimental new media program for artists working in AI.   With a deep understanding of both traditional and digital art ecosystems, Natalie offers a unique perspective on the evolving dynamics of curation, collection, and creative innovation. In this conversation, we discuss the challenges and opportunities facing digital artists today, the role of traditional art institutions in Web3, and how blockchain technology is redefining provenance, ownership, and artistic value. Launched by Larva Labs in 2017, CryptoPunks consists of 10,000 unique pixel-art characters that became a symbol of digital ownership and the CryptoArt movement. Stored on the Ethereum blockchain, CryptoPunks are more than just collectibles—they've played a pivotal role in shaping conversations around provenance, value, and the integration of blockchain technology in the art world. — Connect with Natalie on X: https://x.com/naughtaliestone — Natalie's website: https://nataliestone.co/ — Connect with Natalie on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/stonenatalie/ — CryptoPunks: https://cryptopunks.app/ — Learn more about CryptoPunks on the Brand Hub: https://hub.cryptopunks.app/ — Follow CryptoPunks on X: https://x.com/cryptopunksnfts — CryptoPunks Book @ Phaidon: https://www.phaidon.com/store/fashion-and-pop-culture/cryptopunks-free-to-claim-9781838669300/ — Connect with simon: https://zaap.bio/simonclowes

Cookies, Identifiers "Silently Stored" on Android phones by Google Apps

Fresh data protection concerns have been raised by a Trinity College Dublin study about storage of cookies, identifiers, and other data on Android phones by Google Play Services, the Google Play store and other pre-installed Google apps. A recent measurement study by Prof. Doug Leith, Professor of Computer Systems in Trinity's School of Computer Science and Statistics, shows that advertising and tracking cookies and other device and user identifiers are sent by Google servers and stored on a handset, even when no Google apps have ever been opened by the user. Professor Doug Leith said: "We all know that our consent is needed before a website stores advertising and tracking cookies when we visit it. The same EU "cookie law", the e-Privacy Directive, also applies to apps running on mobile phones. Cookies stored by apps have received far less attention than web cookies, partly because they are harder to detect, and a closer look at them is long overdue." "Google Play Services and the Google Play store are pre-installed on almost every Android phone. This study shows that they silently store advertising and other tracking cookies and data on people's phones. No consent for this is sought by Google, and there is no way to block these cookies. " "This study is a wake-up call to the Irish Data Protection Commissioner to enforce EU data protection rules and start properly protecting Irish and EU users of Android phones." The main findings of the study are as follows: 1) Advertising analytics cookies, links to track clicks/views of adverts, and device identifiers associated with advertising are downloaded and stored on the handset. 2) Tracking cookies are downloaded and stored by the Google Play store app and then transmitted to Google servers alongside analytics data reporting user interactions with the Play store app (searches, page views etc). 3) The Google Android ID is sent by Google servers and stored to the handset by Google Play Services. Previous studies have shown this identifier is sent in many transmissions made by Google Play Services and the Google Play store to Google servers. It acts as a persistent device and user identifier, which can only be changed by factory resetting the phone. 4) Analytics cookies used for A/B testing of changes to Google apps are downloaded and stored on the handset by Google Play Services and then transmitted alongside app telemetry data to Google servers. 5) Multiple other cookies and identifiers which can act to uniquely identify the handset and/or user are also downloaded and stored on the handset.

Welcome to my Memorizing Tarot Card Audio Podcast, where I discuss strategies to learn and memorize Tarot cards.  For the month of December, I am deviating into debunking popular myths around tarot cards.  We will move back to more tarot card symbolism early in the new year!  I hope you enjoy the deviation and learn something new while you are having fun. Why an audio course =================The purpose of this audio podcast is to help reinforce key messages by audio, while you clean, exercise, mow your lawn, or drive great distances. There is no charge for this content, and it is intended to provide short, snappy microlearning to help beginners keep practicing and reinforcing the learning. The best way to learn Tarot cards, is to keep practicing working with the cards. Rider Waite Tarot Card Deck=======================I learned how to read cards on the Rider Waite Tarot Deck and the instructor I had said its easiest to have everyone on the same deck when explaining the symbolism. With time, I was able to transfer that knowledge to other decks. If you are a beginner at learning Taro, below are some links to the Rider Waite Tarot Deck to follow along if you need a set of cards. I earn a small referral commission from these links from Amazon. Rider Waite Tarot Deck - USA Link: https://amzn.to/3TW5y0iRider Waite Tarot Deck - Canada Link: https://amzn.to/3YcTwlRRider Waite Tarot Deck - UK Link: https://amzn.to/4eyRUIMRider Waite Tarot Deck - Australia link: https://amzn.to/3ZRB1EwAbout Carrie and  @QuickLearnQuests ===============================I have been reading Tarot cards for 30 years for fun. I took a two and a half day course, and I was so excited to be able to take the mystery out of getting readings done for myself, and to be able to do them myself. We also have social media channels, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and all major podcast distributors such as Spotify, Apple, Audible and many others under the handle @quickLearnQuests. I am focusing mostly on my podcasts and YouTube at the moment, but I will expand into more social media more consistently when I find my feet. Here is my YouTube Channel video for interpreting cards in Three Card Spreads: https://youtu.be/P8En-8-8njk?si=7LIlOsFv9pNZ9iK7Here is the transcript:Have you heard that your tarot cards must be wrapped in silk to keep it safe or "charged"? Maybe you've seen beautiful silk wraps in shops or heard it from someone in the tarot community. It's a nice idea, but here's the truth. Tarot cards don't have to be wrapped in silk.If you are new here, welcome to the "Memorizing Tarot Cards" podcast, your three-minute lessons on learning and memorizing each card using symbolism. Today, we're exploring common misconceptions about tarot cards. We have done two complete rounds of three-minute episodes, where we learned the cards upright and reversed. Before we jump back into it, I wanted to switch gears for the holiday season and share my opinions on some common tarot misconceptions. Let's get started. So, Where Did This Belief Come From? This idea likely comes from a mix of tradition and symbolism. The First reason is silk's historical value.  Silk has long been associated with luxury, protection, and spiritual practices. It was once considered rare and precious, so wrapping tarot cards in silk added an air of importance and care. The second reason may be the mystical symbolism associated with silk.  Silk is often seen as a "pure" material, believed to shield energy. Some practitioners thought silk could protect the cards from negative energy or help "charge" them with positive vibrations. The third reason is the Victorian Mystique.  During the nineteenth-century revival of mysticism, Tarot was often paired with other rituals and traditions, including elaborate storage methods to elevate its perceived sacredness. While wrapping your cards in silk can feel luxurious and intentional, it's not required for the cards to work effectively. Tarot is a tool, and the energy you bring to it is far more important than how you store it. In fact, you can store your cards however you like.  Some popular ideas are to store your cards tucked in its original package.  Or, you can store them in a wooden box or bag.  I keep my favorite in a cranberry-colored velvet pouch.  Also, you can simply store them on a shelf or a desk where they are easily accessible.  What matters is that you store your cards in a way that feels meaningful and practical for you.  If silk resonates with you, go for it.  If not, that's perfectly fine. What really matters, is that the way you store your cards should reflect your relationship with them.  For some, that means silk.  For others, it might mean a favorite hand-sewn bag or nothing at all. Ensure that your choice takes into consideration what is practical for you.  Not everyone resonates with pulling your cards out as a ritual. I have about thirty sets of tarot cards, and I have them displayed on a shelf in my office so that I can quickly grab the ones I wish to use.  They also look amazing, and I know exactly where they are.  Most are in their original packaging, and the rider cards that I use most often is in a velvet bag.  However, one of my dear friends, who also reads cards, loves the ritual of pulling out a wooden box that stores her tarot cards.  They are wrapped in silk, and she unwraps them, pulls a candle out of the box, and lights it.  She does the whole thing, and she loves it.  And its fun getting my cards read by her, and her process is part of the fun.  I don't feel that she takes it more seriously than I do.  I just think that we have different ways of expressing it.The point is that there is no right or wrong way to store your cards.  If silk feels right for you, embrace it, as my friend does. If it doesn't, know that your cards will still work just fine. The bottom line is that tarot cards don't need silk.  They need you. Your intentions, energy, and connection to the cards are what truly matter. So whether your cards are wrapped in silk, cotton, or nothing at all, know that it's ready to work with you. That's all for today's episode.  Remember, to memorize Tarot, keep practicing Tarot. Thanks for listening. #Superstition #folklore #myth #debunk #silk #tradition #memorize #learn #learning #Tarot #cards #riderwaite #Tarotdeck #riderTarotdeck #riderwaite #majorarcana #learnTarot #learnTarotcards #learnTarotreading #learnTarotpodcast #memorizeTarot #audiocourse #audio #podcast

In this episode of "Trauma Rewired," hosts Elisabeth Kristof and Jennifer Wallace delve into the intricate relationship between memory, trauma, and the nervous system. Originally this conversation was recorded and released in two parts and what you are listening to is a combination of them. The discussion underscores the multidimensional nature of memory, including how the superior and inferior hippocampus play distinct roles in recalling positive and negative memories. The hosts explain how trauma impacts memory processing and recall, emphasizing the significance of emotional states and how they can either distort or neutralize memories. Emotional flashbacks and somatic memories, which are stored within the body's sensory experience rather than in cognitive recall, highlight the importance of understanding and processing these implicit memories for holistic healing. The conversation also explores the potential of psychedelic experiences and body awareness practices in accessing and working through somatic memories. Jennifer Wallace shares insights into preparing the body for such experiences to ensure emotional safety and maximize therapeutic benefits. The hosts touch on the hypersensitivity of the HPA axis due to early life stress and trauma, outlining how unresolved trauma can lead to chronic stress responses and adverse health effects over time. Despite these challenges, they emphasize neuroplasticity's power to promote healing and change through intentional engagement with the nervous system. Kristof and Wallace discuss emerging research on cellular memory and its implications for understanding how trauma and memory are stored beyond the brain. They highlight the role of generational trauma and epigenetics in shaping stress responses and health outcomes across generations. The episode concludes with reflections on how personal agency and repatterning the nervous system can aid individuals in creating safer, more resilient pathways for emotional and mental well-being. Topics Discussed: The multidimensional nature of memory and trauma. Roles of the superior and inferior hippocampus in memory recall. Influence of emotional states on memory recall. Impact of emotional flashbacks on distorting memories. Importance of somatic memory and body awareness in trauma healing. Use of psychedelic experiences to access and process somatic memories. Effects of chronic stress and a hypersensitive HPA axis due to early trauma. In this episode, we delve into the fascinating world of mind-body healing to explore how understanding this connection can help you achieve real, tangible results. If you've ever felt stuck in your healing journey or wondered how your mind communicates with your body, this episode is exactly what you need. IMPORTANT NOTE: We understand that some may believe mind-body healing is impossible. Therefore, if you would like to see images of individuals using their minds to relieve pain, you can check out this medical journal. It includes images from some of Brandy's case studies. If you want to learn how to use your mind to heal yourself, you can check out the training on Brandy's website. Each week, Brandy publishes a volunteer episode where she coaches a volunteer to heal themselves using their own mind. In addition, Brandy shares a quick IQ episode (Insights and Questions) where she answers listener questions or delves deeper into insights on working with the mind for healing.
