Power in the Word

Let the mind of Christ, how He thinks and what He loves, be in us by asking the Holy Spirit to change our hearts and exercise our free will to control our thoughts and actions.This will fill us with joy because we see the beauty of God's way of thinking and acting.

Even in the midst of a storm around us, God can help us develop a living faith and hope for a future in heaven. We can learn to have a peace and cheerfulness that will carry us through the day with the Holy Spirit by our side.

Forgiveness is a commend, not a suggestion. There is no limit to forgiveness. Unforgiveness holds us in bondage. Forgiveness is a volitional act. Reconciliation is always the answer.

Self is the enemy that we most need to fear. Our human passion needs to be under the control of the Holy Spirit in order to produce a Christian character. “And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth”.

Matthew 6:11, Give us this day our daily bread. Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

We must have the mind and feelings of Christ.
