LESSON 74There Is No Will But God's.The idea for today can be regarded as the central thought toward which all our exercises are directed. God's is the only Will. When you have recognized this, you have recognized that your will is His. The belief that conflict is possible has gone. Peace has replaced the strange idea that you are torn by conflicting goals. As an expression of the Will of God, you have no goal but His.There is great peace in today's idea, and the exercises for today are directed towards finding it. The idea itself is wholly true. Therefore it cannot give rise to illusions. Without illusions conflict is impossible. Let us try to recognize this today, and experience the peace this recognition brings.Begin the longer practice periods by repeating these thoughts several times, slowly and with firm determination to understand what they mean, and to hold them in mind:There is no will but God's.I cannot be in conflict.Then spend several minutes in adding some related thoughts, such as:I am at peace.Nothing can disturb me. My will is God's.My will and God's are one.God wills peace for His Son.During this introductory phase, be sure to deal quickly with any conflict thoughts that may cross your mind. Tell yourself immediately:There is no will but God's.These conflict thoughts are meaningless.If there is one conflict area that seems particularly difficult to resolve, single it out for special consideration. Think about it briefly but very specifically, identify the particular person or persons and the situation or situations involved, and tell yourself:There is no will but God's.I share it with Him.My conflicts about _______ cannot be real.After you have cleared your mind in this way, close your eyes and try to experience the peace to which your reality entitles you. Sink into it and feel it closing around you. There may be some temptation to mistake these attempts for withdrawal, but the difference is easily detected. If you are succeeding, you will feel a deep sense of joy and an increased alertness, rather than a feeling of drowsiness and enervation.Joy characterizes peace. By this experience will you recognize that you have reached it. If you feel yourself slipping off into withdrawal, quickly repeat the idea for today and try again. Do this as often as necessary. There is definite gain in refusing to allow retreat into withdrawal, even if you do not experience the peace you seek.In the shorter periods, which should be undertaken at regular and predetermined intervals today, say to yourself:There is no will but God's. I seek His peace today.Then try to find what you are seeking. A minute or two every half an hour, with eyes closed if possible, would be well spent on this today.- Jesus Christ in ACIM

Gospel Mark 12:28-34 One of the scribes came to Jesus and asked him, "Which is the first of all the commandments?" Jesus replied, "The first is this: Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is Lord alone! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. The second is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these." The scribe said to him, "Well said, teacher. You are right in saying, He is One and there is no other than he. And to love him with all your heart, with all your understanding, with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is worth more than all burnt offerings and sacrifices." And when Jesus saw that he answered with understanding, he said to him, "You are not far from the Kingdom of God." And no one dared to ask him any more questions. Reflection It's clear in this passage that Jesus has a clear message as to what the Kingdom of Heaven, the Kingdom of God is going to be like. It's a constant evolution of consciousness that moves people more and more into one single focus to love, to love God, to love who we are, to love our brothers and sisters, to love everything that God has created. Love is the most important thing because it is the one thing that brings the essence of the Kingdom of God together. It's called Union Communion. Oneness. That's what we long for. An end to the isolation, the fear, the anger, the shame that keeps us separated. Love unites us. Everything else tends to divide us. Closing Prayer Father, you give us a prayer that we are taught to recite over and over. It's the only time you taught us how to pray. And one of the key lines in it is we pray thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. So bless us with knowing and also longing for this union and communion that love can bring to your kingdom and make it real for all of us. And we ask this in Jesus' name, Amen. Summary This conversation explores the central truth that love is the only foundation upon which spiritual life and ministry can function effectively. While doctrine, discipline, gifting, and structure all have their place, they ultimately fail if they are not rooted in the love of God. The speakers identify frustration in ministry, especially around the recognition of the fivefold ministry, as often stemming from a deeper issue—the absence of love as the driving motivation. Love is not about position or title. Christ alone holds the position. The Body functions properly not when offices are recognized, but when believers operate in His presence and His love. True maturity is not defined by visible roles but by oneness formed through divine love. As believers press into love and unity, everything contrary to it surfaces—division, pride, self-will, and accusation. These exposures are not setbacks but part of God's cleansing process. Love sustains, corrects, humbles, and empowers the Body to function as family. Without it, nothing works. With it, Christ prevails. Show Notes 1. Love as the Core Motivation Change begins with motivation.Ministry, gifts, and discipline fail without love.Love must be the foundation of everything. 2. Love and Oneness Love cannot be separated from unity or fullness.Maturity comes through shared participation in love.Oneness emerges as love deepens. 6. Love Sustains and Prevails The Lord prevails through love, not personal striving.Love keeps believers steady through backlash.Failure becomes an opportunity for cleansing and growth. 8. The real question is not, “Are we structured correctly?” It is, “Are we motivated by love?” Love is not an addition to the foundation. It is the foundation.

Surah Al-Isra, the 17th chapter of the Qur'an, is a Makkan surah consisting of 111 verses. It is named after the miraculous Night Journey (Isra) of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ from Makkah to Jerusalem, an event that signifies Allah's power and the special status of the Prophet. The surah emphasizes core themes of Tawhid (the Oneness of Allah), accountability in the Hereafter, and moral responsibility. It calls for righteousness, kindness to parents, justice, humility, and compassion, while warning against arrogance, wastefulness, and disbelief. It also highlights that guidance comes through divine revelation and that every individual is responsible for their own deeds.
