In this message, we're invited to explore the transformative journey from spiritual death to life in Christ. The key passage, Ephesians 2:1-10, paints a stark picture of our original state - dead in sin and following the ways of the world. But then comes the beautiful contrast: 'But God, who is rich in mercy.' This phrase encapsulates the heart of the gospel, showing God's immense love that brings us from death to life. The imagery of a diamond against a dark backdrop is used to illustrate how God's grace shines most brilliantly against the darkness of our sin. This message challenges us to remember our beginnings, to appreciate the depth of God's mercy, and to live as His masterpiece. It's a call to shift our perspective, seeing ourselves and others through God's eyes of love and compassion, rather than judgment. As we reflect on this, we're encouraged to embrace our identity in Christ and to shine His light in a world desperately in need of hope.#Ephesians#SpiritualDeath#GodsMercy#Grace#Salvation#JesusChrist#NewCreation#Identity#Faith#GodsPower#Resurrection#Sin#Forgiveness#GodsLove#Transformation#Prayer#Compassion#HeavenlyPlaces#GiftsOfGod#Workmanship

In the next of our ‘ephesians effect' series, Rachel Ross focuses us in on the reality that we are God's workmanship - each a work of art - from Ephesians 2:10.
Ephesians 2:10 declares that we are God's workmanship—His “poiema,”. And God has works for each of us to walk out before we join Him in eternity. These works are good, planned by God, and they are life giving activities we can miss out on.

March 17 2025 Monday Your Words Matter / Week 07 Say I Am His Workmanship #findoutwhoyouare My Vision My vision is to teach the world Who They Are In Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior! To Teach them what the Bible says about them and who they have been made to be in the promises of God's Word. This changed my life years ago and completely transformed me from a person full of doubt, fear and unbelief to a strong confident Christian that knows I can do anything through Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. And I'm determined to teach the world what God has taught and commissioned me to teach and that is His Word. That commission takes me to jails and detention centers weekly along with other open doors at many churches and ministries that are wanting to teach these important truths to the world. My podcast goes out 6 days a week to help the people I am ministering to grow in the truths that God has taught me for many years now. This podcast is free to all that want to listen and grow strong in who God has made them to be in Christ Jesus their Lord and Savior. My Prayers For The World Ephesians 1:15-23 NLT 'Ever since I first heard of your strong faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for God's people everywhere, I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God's power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God's right hand in the heavenly realms. Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church. And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself.' Ephesians 3:14-21 NLT 'When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.' Matthew 11:28 Find Rest In Jesus Christ Your Lord and Savior… Mark 10:29-30 100 Fold Return… Psalm 37:4 God will give you the desires of your heart… The Galations, having launched their Christian experience by faith, seem content to leave their voyage of faith and chart a new course based on works—a course Paul finds disturbing. His letter to the Galations is a vigorous attack against the gospel of works and a defense of the gospel of faith. Paul begins by setting forth his credentials as an apostle with a message from God: blessing comes from God on the basis of faith, not law. The law declares men guilty and imprisons them; faith sets men free to enjoy liberty in Christ. But liberty is not license. Freedom in Christ means freedom to produce the fruits of righteousness through a Spirit-led lifestyle. This week Jeff and Dave are back in the studio to discuss the leading light of early fourth-century Christian rhetoric. 'No whey', you say? Yes, it's true. The guys again take a look at the North African rhetorical tradition that produced such greats of Christian apologetics as Minucius Felix, Tertullian, Cyprian of Carthage, and Arnobius of Sicca. What should we make of Lactantius' accomplishment? Is he really the crème de la crème, or merely pushed forward by inevitable social forces, not an instance of the 'great man theory'? And what about his rhetorical feats in the grisly Deaths of the Persecutors, Divine Institutes, God's Workmanship, and more? Was Pico della Mirandola correct that Lactantius "equalled Cicero, or maybe even surpassed him in eloquence"? Come along for the ride as we wrap up this two-parter on the man who was well suited to his times, interacting with the cabbage-loving Diocletian, a host of enemies of the Christian faith, and even the big guy, Constantine. And bee sure to check out Dave's free Latin lessons here: Deaths of the Persecturors Epitome of the Divine Institutes

This week, we'll explore the scenario of an insured repair business that repaired a valve on a large boat so poorly that the whole engine was damaged. Let's listen in. Key Takeaways The critical inquiry in a defective or faulty workmanship case is, the scope of the insured's agreed upon, contracted work. Under the majority view, the damage to the engine would likely be considered damage to other property, because the insured was not hired to work on the whole engine itself. Under the minority view, working on an interconnected part of an engine would be considered working on the engine as a whole. In Ephesians 5:8, Paul exhorts us to “Walk as children of light.” Sounds remarkably similar to Jesus' admonishment, “Let your light so shine…” What, then is for us to be children of light, to walk in the light, and to let the light of Christ shine through us?==============Join us for service every Sunday at 10:30am (CST).If you said "Yes" to Jesus today, let us know at www.redeemermn.org/nextstepsWe would love to hear how God is transforming your life through this ministry! We tend to associate ourselves with a college team, pro team or any sports team that we are a fan of; but does that really identify who we are?We see people, in today's society, questioning their very identity. They want to be identified in so many different ways that it is no wonder our society is in turmoil and confusion; yet we know that God created 2 identifiable genders in Male and female. Does that still truly explain who each of us are?People everywhere are struggling with that very question and we see how more and more are going to counseling and are put on medication and still they can't find a peace with it.I want to pose 3 questions for you to answer for yourself. You can write them down on your notepads or wherever you can. What is your Title? - Pastor, deacon, teacher, coach, engineer, firefighter, chief, doctor. This is usually associated with your work or something you do.What do people call you? Dad, mom, grandma, granddaddy, Pops, son, daughter, jerk, loser, dummy, idiot, explicit names, Sir, maam, jock, dead-beat or something that describes your personality or behavior.Who do you see yourself as, especially spiritual traits or gifts? Prayer-warrior, mentor, comforter, Word of Knowledge, healing, prophecy, and discernment. How does God see each of us and do we see ourselves the way that He sees Us?So, how are we to see ourselves? It isn't through a title, a description from yourself or others, and it isn't through what you have or haven't done as a child of God.Paul told the church in Ephesians 2:10 that, “we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do.” Ephesians 3:20 say, “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,”.Song - Identity by Velvet Moon https://www.epidemicsound.com/track/XUoXHitDzJ/Send us a textBuzzsprout - Let's get your podcast launched!Start for FREEPodpageBuild a beautiful podcast website in 5 minutes.Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links. Tell us what you think about this podcast!Taught by Bishop Rader Johnson, this series explores the profound truth that while humanity is made in the image of God, sin distorts His likeness in us. Through salvation, we become God's workmanship, being transformed to reflect His likeness in our earthly lives, preparing us for our heavenly state. Bishop Johnson teaches that trials and tests are part of God's perfecting process, designed to make us more like Christ. By aligning our perspective with God's, we can fully embrace His work in our lives, becoming like Jesus in every aspect.

What is the Old Testament about? The repetition of sin and failure can get monotonous and confusing. What is the goal? What is the solution? How can a people be changed? Zephaniah gives us the heart of the message of the Old Testament.
How is Christian transformation more than moral self-improvement? In this episode of Light + Truth, John Piper opens Ephesians 4:22–24 to highlight our need for a supernaturally renewed mind.
Colossians 1:12 — In this sermon on Colossians 1:12 titled “His Workmanship Alone,” Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones preaches on the necessity of praise in the life of all Christians. There is no other response they could give after receiving this great salvation that made them a Christian. In His grace, God brings His people out of the world and its sinful ways and offers forgiveness and adoption through His Son. One must never think that they can be saved by their own works or merits, for all are in sin and saved only by grace. Dr. Lloyd-Jones reminds the listener that no one can contribute anything to their salvation. This is why Christians are to worship out of a heart of thankfulness and praise. The greatest tragedy is that there are those who do not praise God because they do not know Him. This sermon calls all to forsake themselves, trust in the gospel of Jesus Christ, and rest in His mercy. There is no other way of salvation but through Jesus Christ.
