Sunday morning's are not especially peaceful or restorative for moms with young kids. Maybe you were blessed with tiny toddlers who defy the odds by sitting perfectly still and never making a peep. If that is you then you have my awe but on planet earth where I'm from toddlers do not have a button for stop moving and talking. Entertaining your toddler at church can be difficult. It is important to set boundaries with them and help them to practice good behavior. However, at the same time they are still very little and we need to match our expectations as moms with what is developmentally appropriate for our children. The key to helping your toddler to stay quiet during the church service and not disrupt others is to come prepared. I will show you how we approach church service with small children. In the complicated age we are living in, with many false ideas and aggressive agendas, knowing how to be a good Christian wife can feel like a daunting responsibility. Take heart, friends! The Bible is still clear on the beauty of being the godly role model of the home. You, godly women, have the opportunity and privilege to help set the atmosphere of your home, proving Proverbs 31:28 to be true: “Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.” (ESV) Let's look deeper into the role of being a good Christian wife. A wife's prayers for her husband are a powerful thing. I try to make it a habit to pray for my husband every day. I will be honest that it is not something I always succeed at doing. However, I know that it is important. Spending time in prayer is crucial for my spiritual life and spending time praying for my husband is one of the many ways that I can be a blessing to him in our marriage. I am grateful that God meets me where I am in prayer. If the day is crazy and hectic I can still come to God in my frazzled state and pray. I do not have to set aside a large block of time. The Bible says that we should pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17) and to me that means that it does not matter whether I am changing diapers, scrubbing dishes, or sitting quietly with my Bible. These marriage prayers are wonderful no matter what season of marriage you are in. I do my best to make it a habit to pray often for my marriage. I know that it is something I should do daily and that is my goal. While I may not always reach that goal I absolutely try my best. I want our marriage to stand the test of time. When I said "till death do us part" I really did mean it. You can pray these prayers for your marriage yourself or you and your spouse can pray them together.
