In this episode, Jay breaks down why he's speaking out against his primary opponent, foreign interference in Florida politics, the dangers of unchecked AI and hyperscale data centers, his push for classical education and trade apprenticeships, and why he believes when Florida leads, America wins. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Thursday said U.S. search-and-rescue teams were being deployed to Venezuela following deadly earthquakes. Two powerful earthquakes wreaked havoc in and around the capital, Caracas, trapping people beneath the rubble of collapsed buildings and setting off powerful aftershocks.Oil prices fell to their lowest levels since before the outbreak of the Iran war on Thursday as tanker traffic through the Strait of Hormuz continued to recover, signaling that crude exports from the Gulf are steadily returning to normal and easing prolonged supply disruption fears.
Nikolai Melamed Kleivan, journalist i Morgenbladet deltok i panelet. Referanser:Bartov, Omer. “I'm a Genocide Scholar. If you are exhausted all day, wired at night, and waking up between 2:00 and 4:00 AM with your heart pounding and your brain suddenly wide awake, this episode is for you. Because midlife sleep issues are rarely just about needing more progesterone or taking a melatonin gummy. They are usually a sign that a whole system is asking to be recalibrated. In this episode, I go deeper into the sleep side of the midlife stress puzzle and break down what may actually be happening beneath the surface. In this episode: Why so many women in midlife feel exhausted all day but wide awake at night Why progesterone can help sleep, but is not always the whole answer How oral progesterone works through allopregnanolone and the GABA system Why stress affects progesterone through disrupted ovulation, not "progesterone steal" How estradiol affects serotonin, dopamine, acetylcholine, and your circadian rhythm Why estrogen decline can destabilize sleep, mood, body temperature, and stress resilience How melatonin really works and why it is more than just a sleep supplement Why blood sugar drops can trigger cortisol and adrenaline spikes in the middle of the night What adrenaline wakeups feel like and why they are so common in midlife How to start becoming your own detective with sleep, stress, hormones, and testing Who this episode is for This episode is for women in perimenopause and menopause who are waking up between 2:00 and 4:00 AM, struggling to stay asleep, feeling anxious for no clear reason, or finding that the old sleep advice is no longer working. It is especially for women who want a deeper understanding of what is happening hormonally and neurologically, instead of being told to just take more progesterone and hope for the best.
May kicked my natural Black ass. After a month away from the podcast, I'm finally back behind the microphone. Not because everything is fixed. Not because life magically got easier. Simply because the storm let up enough for me to start moving forward again. In this solo episode, I'm sharing what happened during one of the toughest months I've had in a while. Between injuries, financial stress, family responsibilities, and watching my routines completely fall apart, I found myself slipping back into old habits and old coping mechanisms. The frustrating part?I knew better.I've spent years in therapy. I've had hundreds of conversations about healing, mental health, and self-improvement. Yet when life got heavy, I still found myself returning to the same default settings.Comfort TV.Sugar.Isolation.Survival mode.If you've ever felt like all your progress disappeared the moment life got hard, this episode is for you. We're talking about why healing isn't linear, why setbacks don't erase growth, and why sometimes the bravest thing you can do is sit under the underpass, let the worst of the storm pass, and then keep driving. In this episode:• Why stress often sends us back to old habits• The relationship between routine and emotional stability• What happens when survival mode takes over• Why setbacks don't cancel your progress• Learning to give yourself grace during difficult seasons• Continuing to fight for happiness even when life gets heavyIt's About DAMN Time we stop treating setbacks like failures and start seeing them for what they really are.Part of the journey.Connect with Me
Dr. Heidi Baker has been a pediatrician, an emergency medicine doctor, a helicopter retrieval medic, and a coach. That kind of career range does not happen by accident. It happens when someone keeps hitting walls and choosing to climb rather than quit. In this episode, Dr. Baker talks candidly about the moment she realized emergency medicine was no longer sustainable for her, and what happened when she decided to do something about it rather than simply endure. The conversation raises a question that more organizations need to sit with: if you offered your doctors real coaching support, would you be helping them leave medicine, or saving them from doing exactly that? Highlights [03:00]: Dr. Baker describes the point in her emergency medicine career when she realized she was not showing up the way she wanted, either at work or at home, and the decision that followed. [08:00]: Setting up a private practice after 17 years of hospital paychecks meant learning an entirely different skill set almost overnight. Dr. Baker shares what she was not prepared for. [13:00]: Pre-hospital retrieval work sounds thrilling from the outside. Dr. Baker describes what it actually demands of a clinician in the moment, and the specific experience that brought her to her knees. [19:00]: Dr. Baker explains what drew her toward coaching and why a 16-week program changed how she practices medicine, not just how she supports other doctors. [25:00]: There is a quiet fear inside many healthcare organizations about offering coaching to their staff. Dr. Baker names it directly and makes a case that flips the assumption. [33:00]: One emergency department embedded a psychologist for the entire team, not just doctors. The uptake surprised everyone. Dr. Baker explains how the model works and why it matters. Three Key Takeaways 1. Coaching can bring doctors back, not push them out. There is a persistent concern among healthcare organizations that offering coaching will accelerate doctors leaving medicine. Dr. Baker's experience challenges that directly. She was close to walking away from clinical work entirely when coaching, both receiving it and training in it, gave her the clarity to pivot rather than exit. The doctors most at risk of leaving are often those who have never been given space to examine what is actually driving their dissatisfaction. Coaching creates that space. The result, more often than organizations expect, is doctors who stay, re-engage, and contribute more fully. 2. Peer supervision works best when it is built on actual skill. Mentorship and peer review have long been part of medical culture, but the role is frequently handed to someone experienced rather than someone trained to hold it. Dr. Baker draws a clear distinction between top-down informational support and the kind of exploratory, reflective practice that actually shifts things for the person receiving it. She has built several peer supervision groups of her own, including one that meets at the change of each season, and describes what makes them work. The skill set required to facilitate that kind of space is learnable. It just needs to be taught. 3. Sustainable clinical medicine sometimes means rebuilding from the ground up. Transitioning from a salaried hospital role to running a private practice is not just a clinical challenge. It is a business challenge, a mindset challenge, and for many doctors, the first time they have had to place a real value on their own time. Dr. Baker reflects on the steep learning curve of setting up her pediatric practice, including billing, insurance contracts, and patient management systems, none of which were covered in her medical training. For doctors considering a similar move, her honesty about what the transition actually costs is both a warning and a reassurance that it is survivable. Connect:

If your business feels heavier than it should, it may not be the work. It may be what you're avoiding. A lot of entrepreneurs love what they do, but feel disconnected from their numbers. And over time, that disconnect shows up in decision-making, stress, and how much the business is actually supporting their life. In Episode 487 of Amplify Your Success Podcast, I sit down with Kirsten Graham to talk about what really changes when you reconnect with your profit and start looking at your business through a different lens. Kirsten shares why so many business owners avoid their numbers and how that avoidance quietly impacts everything from time and energy to growth decisions. We also talk about the role of delegation, especially around bookkeeping, and how having the right support can bring clarity, confidence, and a stronger sense of control. This conversation is not about becoming an accountant. It's about understanding what your numbers are telling you so you can make better choices and build a business that actually supports your life. If you've been feeling stretched, unsure about your financial direction, or avoiding parts of your business that feel uncomfortable, this will give you a way to re-engage with your numbers and move forward with more clarity. Key Takeaways: [00:00] Why your business is meant to support your life, not become your identity. [05:22] How avoiding your numbers creates stress, missed opportunities, and poor financial decisions. [06:10] The hidden cost of not understanding your profit and loss statements. [08:12] Common beliefs that keep entrepreneurs from delegating bookkeeping and financial tasks. [10:54] Why revenue alone doesn't reflect profitability or financial health. [13:59] How profit clarity helps you make better decisions about time, investments, and growth. [14:45] Identifying profit leaks and where time and money may be misaligned. [17:24] What to consider when delegating bookkeeping and building the right support system. [21:02] How regular financial check-ins create clarity and confidence in your business decisions. [25:37] Why separating personal and business finances is essential for long-term protection and growth. About The Guest: Kirsten is a business strategist and outsourcing expert with a decade of experience helping entrepreneurs take control of their finances and scale with confidence. She has guided countless business owners through the process of hiring and working with Bookkeeping Virtual Assistants, giving them the tools and systems they need to understand their numbers and make smarter financial decisions. Hello, Beautiful...I'm so grateful you're here with me. In this episode, When You Wake Up in the Middle of the Night
In this gentle middle-of-the-night breathwork…You are guided back to rest… not forced into sleep…If you've woken up…If your mind is already moving…If your body feels alert…You are not alone…Nothing has gone wrong…Your nervous system has simply come online…And now…We guide it back to rest…There is nothing to fix…Nothing to solve…You don't need to fall asleep right away…Just rest here…Feel the bed beneath you…The quiet of the room…The world is calm…You are safe…Take a slow breath in…And gently exhale…Again…Inhaling…Exhaling…Silently repeat…“I am safe… even now…”Let your breath find a soft rhythm…Inhale for 3…Exhale for 5…Slow…Gentle…Unforced…With every inhale…You return to your body…With every exhale…The alertness softens…If your mind wanders…That's okay…Come back to the breath…3 in…5 out…Nothing to figure out…Just this moment…If it feels natural…Let your breath return to its own rhythm…Thoughts may feel louder at night…More urgent…But you don't need to follow them…Gently place them aside…For tomorrow…For now…Your only role…Is to rest…Feel the weight of your body…Your shoulders…Your legs…Let yourself sink…You are supported…Nothing needs your attention right now…You are allowed…To rest…Even this moment…Is restorative…Take one last soft inhale…And a long slow exhale…“I am safe to rest…I am allowed to let go…”Now there is nothing left to do…Just drift…And rest…
If you've ever caught yourself thinking, “I know better… so why do I keep falling back into the same patterns?” — this episode is for you.In this conversation, host Chris Oh, walks through a few real, recent moments where she didn't like how she showed up — not because she wasn't self-aware, and not because she didn't know her standards — but because she still reacted in ways that didn't fully align with them. And this is something we don't talk about enough.Because breaking old patterns isn't just about knowing what to do differently. It's about understanding what's happening underneath your reactions — especially in moments where you feel activated, frustrated, or out of alignment. In this episode, we explore:why you still fall back into old patterns even when you know betterthe gap between awareness and actually living by your standardshow your nervous system and past conditioning shape your reactionswhy certain moments feel disproportionately triggeringhow your personal values are directly tied to your identity — and your behaviorThis is a deeper look at why change doesn't happen through surface-level “fixes,” and why real transformation requires building the internal capacity to respond differently in the moments that matter most.Because your patterns aren't random. They're often signals of:what you valuewhat feels threatenedand where your current capacity hasn't fully caught up to who you're becomingIf this episode resonates, I've created resources to help you go deeper:✨ Free Standards WorksheetA self-guided tool to help you identify unconscious patterns, recognize your activation triggers, and begin shifting into alignment with your standards.Download for FREE here

As a reformed Shopaholic, one of the #1 questions people ask me is how I learned to shop with intention instead of impulsiveness. And the first thing I'll admit to you is that it wasn't easy. I know that post-purchase rush all too well. There's actually a quote from Sophie Kinsella's Confessions of a Shopaholic that still resonates with me: ''If everyone could just wear new clothes every day, I reckon depression wouldn't exist anymore.' So the second thing I'll admit to you is that if I could wear new clothes every day, I might. I still love to shop and follow trends and wear beautiful things. But in reality, I don't have the luxury of wearing new clothes constantly. I don't have that much time to shop these days. And my bank account is very grateful that I've learned to tame my spending habits. And so even though I understand the lure of the new buy, I will never go back to my old ways. Today, I want to talk about this cycle and why it happens. Why you can feel so excited about a piece of clothing one minute and so over it the next. Why you have gorgeous garments hanging in your closet, sometimes with the tags still on them. Why it's actually not about you making bad shopping decisions. And what to do instead so the things you buy keep feeling good even after the initial excitement wears off. If you're ready to understand and finally break this vicious buying cycle for good, then settle in and get ready to take some notes, my friend. I've got you covered. It is a belief issue. In this episode, Moshe sits down with pricing expert Linda Hunt, founder of SumSolutions and author of The Money Conversation, to unpack the real reason so many law firm owners underprice their services. It is not just about strategy. It is about whether your mind and body are actually aligned around the value you bring. When you do not truly believe your services are worth more, that shows up in your pricing, your sales conversations, your confidence, and ultimately your firm's profitability.Resources mentioned:

NFL insiders are reporting that the Steelers are ‘nosing around' the QB market as the Aaron Rodgers saga rolls along. In that same conversation, those guys think Kirk Cousins is a real option for the Steelers if Rodgers decides to retire or play elsewhere. Cousins hardly feels like a consolation prize and the guys wondered what the organization would be thinking with a move like that. The fans are too wise to fall for this. It feels like it would be a failing grade from most of the fan base if it gets made. Carolina sports radio host Chris McClain from WFNZ joined the show. Chris said the Rico Dowdle experience with the Panthers was interesting. He brought up the mix of games that saw Dowdle shine and the others when Dowdle saw his carries go down. Chris said Dowdle runs hard and if he's on a roll, he's hard to stop. Chris said Rico got ‘a little salty' near the end of the season by reposting some things on social media. He believes Dowdle will create a good 1-2 punch with Jaylen Warren. Chris said there were some miscommunication issues. Chris wanted to ask the guys about new Panthers backup QB Kenny Pickett before the call was over. Name Game.

If you've tried to change before and failed you'll love this short episode. It's not your fault, it's your brain and you're not getting the changes you want because you're working against your brain's natural function. It's epidemic…people trying to change yet they get little to no change in life and then they usually become more and more frustrated and just give up.In this episode I talk about:[2:44] Habits and episode # 83[3:19] Subconscious reprogramming and episode # 80[3:59] How all habits and patterns come from your reptilian brain[6:55] Why your brain craves predictability[10:06] Why you get anxious when you try to change[15:59] And, why change is so hard In this episode, I refer you back to a few others and then share the simple attitude you must embrace to create long term change in life.
In this episode we answer emails from Gregory, Rick and Graham. We discuss some more amateur ideas on gold and cash buffers, and modeling managed futures, and we explain why costs and liquidity often matter more than the story you're told. We share tools, back-tests, and resources that help DIY investors build smarter, calmer portfolios.Graham's "Fall Back" instructions for inputs for Testfolio: "For example, since you typically use DBMF but would want to back test further, one can write DBMFSIM?FB=KMLMSIM which will use DBMF as far back as it can, then fall back to using KMLM. Did you know these can be chained? One can fallback onto commodities beyond the KMLM simulation, like this: DBMFSIM?FB=KMLMSIM?FB=GSGSIM."Links:Father McKenna Center Donation Page: Donate - Father McKenna CenterVideo on Hedge Fund Market Wizards: Jack Schwager presents: 15 Hedge Fund Market Wizards trading secrets & insights in their own wordsInfinite Loops Podcast with Cliff Asness: Surviving the Meme Stock Bubble | Cliff AsnessExcess Returns with Aswath Damodaran: The Bubble Most Will Get Wrong | Aswath Damodaran on How He Is Investing in a World of AIManaged Futures/Trend Following Paper for Download: A Century of Evidence on Trend-Following InvestingGraham's Full House Portfolio: testfol.io/?s=5cyAAHgo1OHBreathless Unedited AI-Bot Summary:What if the biggest edge in your portfolio isn't a hot strategy but the boring details—costs, liquidity, and the ability to rebalance in seconds? We dig into listener questions on gold, long-term treasuries, cash buffers, and managed futures, and we separate evidence from stories that sound good but quietly erode returns. We look at why an 80 percent stocks and 20 percent gold mix can be fine during accumulation, yet struggle in retiree withdrawals when stocks and gold sometimes fall together. Then we explain how duration from long treasuries can change the drawdown math, especially in recessions. We also push back on the temptation to chase yield on vaulted physical gold. Once you add spreads, storage, transaction fees, and redemption friction, that “yield” comes at a cost, and you sacrifice the instant liquidity your rebalancing plan needs. Gold ETFs give you precise position sizing and near-zero friction so you can trim, add, and move on. On cash, we keep it blunt: a small buffer for bills makes sense, but large multi-year cash cushions drag safe withdrawal rates over time. Replenish cash by trimming whichever asset has run hot—simple rules, fewer regrets. For listeners trying to model managed futures, we cover why commodity funds are poor proxies and how to use Testfolio's fallback feature to extend DBMF or KMLM backtests across regimes. The larger message is pragmatic: stop searching for the perfect allocation and build a naively diversified mix that can handle growth, inflation, and shocks without prediction. Want to see how this plays out? Hit play, take notes, and test a small, real-money experiment in a side account to learn your own behavior. If this conversation helped you think more clearly about diversification, costs, and withdrawals, follow the show, leave a quick review, and share it with a friend who's rethinking their portfolio right now.Support the show

In a world defined by constant change, reinvention isn't optional - it's essential. We often assume reinvention comes from bold leaps or lucky breaks, but actor and author Matthew McConaughey's story suggests a quieter approach can be far more powerful. In this episode, Matthew joins me to explore the inner practices that have shaped both his life and his legendary career in Hollywood. From stepping away from romantic comedies at the height of his success to sitting with uncertainty when there were no guarantees on the other side, Matthew shares how learning to get comfortable with discomfort empowered the most meaningful reinventions of his life. At the center of our conversation is curiosity - self-curiosity. Matthew reflects on decades of journaling as a way to notice patterns, stay honest, and make sense of moments that feel unclear. Rather than avoiding discomfort, he learned to treat it as information to study, learn from, and eventually act on.We talk about what it takes to stay relevant without losing yourself, why reinvention often requires carrying the risk before anyone else believes in the outcome, and how self-curiosity can become a compass when the path forward isn't obvious.Matthew also shares how these ideas come to life in his newest book, Poems & Prayers - a collection of reflections shaped by presence, patience, and the courage to keep asking better questions. If you're navigating change, questioning your direction, or looking to grow while remaining true to yourself, this conversation offers a grounded and thoughtful path forward. This is… A Bit of Optimism.---------------------------To check out Matthew's new book Poems & Prayers, head to: http://www.poemsprayers.com---------------------------

Ever sit down to work on the thing you used to love… and immediately feel irritated, numb, or straight-up exhausted? Not because you're failing. Not because you're lazy. But because your life quietly outgrew the way you're running it. If you're a high achiever who's built real momentum but secretly feels drained, uninspired, or disconnected from your own goals, this episode is for you. Today I'm breaking down the quiet side of burnout that no one talks about — the kind that sneaks in after things start working. We're talking about why ambitious women lose their spark not because they're ungrateful or overworked, but because hustle culture taught them to scale their lives without upgrading their systems, boundaries, or self care. You'll learn why motivation disappears when your mental load explodes, how invisible emotional labor is stealing 10–15 hours of your week, and why structure (not more discipline) is the key to getting your energy, creativity, and excitement back. This isn't about doing less. It's about finally being supported by what you're building instead of carrying it alone. Why burnout often shows up after success, not before The hidden emotional and mental labor draining high achievers How hustle culture keeps women stuck in survival mode Why motivation is a nervous system response (not a mindset issue) The difference between being needed and being fulfilled How chaos quietly kills creativity and joy Why structure is the ultimate form of self care for ambitious women How to stop running a grown-up life on “pure vibes” You're not tired of your dream — you're tired of carrying it alone Burnout isn't always dramatic; sometimes it's quiet resentment High achievers don't need more motivation, they need fewer open loops Hustle culture glorifies chaos, but structure protects your best energy Self care for high achievers looks like systems, boundaries, and clarity — not bubble baths High achievers feeling disconnected from their goals Women juggling careers, businesses, or side hustles Anyone questioning why success suddenly feels heavy Ambitious women craving sustainable growth without burnout Anyone ready to break up with hustle culture for good If this episode hit a little too close to home, here's your next step. Join us at The Reset Room . Our private membership for ambitious women who want to grow, earn, and lead without burning themselves out in the process. Inside, members are reclaiming 10–15 hours a week, reducing mental load, and building lives that actually feel livable — all through systems that support the level they're stepping into. ✨ Clear priorities ✨ Less overwhelm ✨ Stronger boundaries ✨ Real self care that works for high achievers
HER Style Podcast | Buy Less, Shop Smarter, Build a Wardrobe You Love
If someone took every single piece of clothing you own and laid it all out in front of you, could you explain how it's supposed to work together? Not where you bought it or why you loved it in the moment — but how those pieces actually connect. How they build outfits. How they support your real life: workdays, weekends, errands, dinners, all of it. Because this is where so many women get stuck — not because they have bad clothes, not because they shop too much, and definitely not because they don't "have style," but because there's no system holding their wardrobe together. Most women I work with have truly great taste. They know what they like or at least, it doesn't take us too much effort to figure that out. They can spot a beautiful piece from a mile away. And yet, getting dressed still feels frustrating, time-consuming, or oddly disappointing. Not because the clothes are wrong — but because they were never taught how to make their wardrobe work as a whole. So if you've ever looked at your closet and thought, "Why does this feel harder than it should?" This episode is going to help things finally click into place. Because today we're talking about why your closet can feel random — even when you love what's in it — and how a little clarity completely changes how it all comes together.
