Two Blerds with too much to say!
Back in the Lounge with Black Adam…well talking about Black Adam and the DC movie verse. Short one before we went to see a certain Director talk about his new book. Why are we being so secretive? Do things always have to be off the record o the QT and very hush hush.
Well it finally happened…R has fully transformed into the Boondock's Uncle Rukus. He has been going on for years about conspiracies and agendas and they finally got the best of him. You be the judge as we talk about The Woman King, She-hulk and Rings of Power. I swear we are going to get to Black Adam and Wakanda Forever, but this has to happen first.
This week finds us hiding from a hurricane in the bunker. As Kay blows by we talk about Terminal List, a little more about Sandman, then the Rings of Power, and She Hulk. I wonder why all hurricanes are named after women. Guess that's a show unto its self. Hold Fast people.
This episode is full of good eats and half baked insights on She Hulk, the Marvel TV verse and a little touch of the 2nd episode of House Of The Dragon. Pass the Brandy Champbrule whipped cream please.
We're back. With a Vengeance. We made it out of the wormholes we were in and caught up on a bunch of things we hadn't had a chance to talk about. I'm just gonna list em: Jurassic Park, Mrs Marvel, Thor Love and Thunder, The Wakanda Forever Trailer, Bullet Train and Sand Man. We even have a extra bonus House of the Dragon session. Dracarys Y'all!
Broadcasting this lost episode of no current value. We were recording on someday, heading to somewhere, to do something, and ended up ranting about Book of Bobbaloria, Mandofett something like that. peacemaker and yeah. Happy 4th.
We found a Lounge in the wormhole! . Yes. Good eats and good talk as we sup over Doctor Strange, wax nostalgic about Top Gun Maverick and finish off with a dessert discussion of Season 2 of Picard. Can you smell the banana carmel flambé!
What…wait…what happened? Where are we? Coming to you from a confused space and time, we lost 4 months. Lost in a void of busyness, and unaired episodes we are sending you these low band signals till we can get back to full nerdy functionality. Last we spoke we were ranting about Star Wars, but it's been 4 months so today we get to rant about…Star Wars… Obi-Wan Episodes 1-3. Maybe we didn't miss that much in the void.
Star Wars: Book of Bobalorian! We rant on some Star Wars this week folks. The Book of Boba Fett may have ended, but we only got through episode five because we get sucked down a wormhole that took is into talking about the Prequels, Sequels, Trilogies and other shows. May the Force Infuriate You.
It got me! C-19 and his cousin Omicron, decided to visit this week and have my voice channeling Barry White. That aside we discuss me watching a ton of courtroom movies while in quarantine, Michale Connelly and Walter Mosely books, and end up back on topic with The Book of Boba Fett. Somebody pass the Vitamin C.
Spiderman, Spiderman does whatever...you know the rest. Happy New Year first episode of 2022. R and I chop up Spiderman, Matrix Resurrections, Red-Belt and a plethora of other rabbit holes and conversation detours. 2022 aint nothing changed but the date. Enjoy.
We are switching it up this week Folks with our very first interview. Our good friend Donnel Nelson has started his own comic book company: Back Pack Comics. We caught up with Donnel at LA Comic Con, where he had his booth promoting for the creation of his first book: The Space Between, and we had to bring him on to shill a little bit and talk about comics, movies, the MCU and where ever else the wanderlust of our conversations takes us. My mic dies half way through so R and Donnel take over for a while as I obliviously talk to myself. It's ok thought, I talk to myself often so it was a good conversation either way.
Well we found a nice lounge with good food and a chill atmosphere for this episode. We dinner talk about Eternals, Dune and a little bit of R's continuing dialogue about the state of the MCU. Enjoy and have a Happy Thanksgiving
Well you thought last week was bad. This week we are coming from Hollywood and a loud restaurant, and still ranting about the MCU and wokeness as R likes to put it. We discuss, Eternals, Last Duel, Moonlight, Flash TV show and politics of some of the marketing choices of Hollywood these days. If you like to hear old men rant, this is the place to be. I promise more jokes next week and cleaner sound. Enjoy the background radio.
Well ok. We have never put much stock in the audio quality of this podcast, much to my nephews horror. Some may call us lazy. I prefer to think of us as authentic. Needless to say this was about the worst we have done, so I feel the need to apologize up front. Coughing sneezing and phone interruptions and all, there is some good rants in there about What If?, Venom and the politics of the MCU. Remember think authentic.
We're back…in the bunker. Ok I swear the location gag will end…one day. So we (pun intended) chop up Shang-Chi, more What If, and a altercation I had coming back from a good time at the Black Panther in concert experience at the Hollywood Bowl. R shared his altercation already, I guess I was due.
Road Trip! R and I literally take the show on the road, and we in transit and in traffic talking about What if, Spider Man, Black Panther and what ever other rabbit trail are warped minds decide to follow. Come along for the ride and give the rat a drink.
We continue the long, long, sorry about this folks, long discussion of He-Man Revelations, along with many pop culture rabbit holes that we just can't seem to Avoid, topped of with little more Suicide Squad convo. Pull up a chair and give the Rat a drink for this one folks.
In this episode we are back Live from the IRS 2. Thanks Apple. R goes on a He-Man Revelations rant and I try to make some sense out what we saw. This episode gets cut short, but we pick back up for way to long in the next one, so stay tuned.
In this episode we start off Live from the Bunker and end up on Arctic mountain in the Himalayas, where we discuss 90's amusement park rides the Terminator and the old Las Vegas Star Trek Experience, we finally get to the first episode of Loki (What this episode was supposed to be about) and some how end up on the movie Backdraft. There is a logical progression in there I swear.
Just when I thought we were done with the wacky location shtick, R had to hide out from his fam in the Bunker to avoid watching gymnastics and give us a moment to talk about the rise and fall of Jupiter's Legacy. Spoiler Alert...there will be no Season 2.
R and D Presents Live from the Lab! We have officially given up on the fancy location hunt! In this episode we talk about Mortal Kombat! The Bad Batch, and R feeling unsupported when accosted by a homeless person. In my defense I had not seen a live fight since High School.
Back Again. This time...Live from the IRS...Ok who is booking these locations! In this episode we talk about the Oscars, the Falcon and the Winter Soldier series and as usual what ever else comes to our warped minds.
The inaugural episode Live from the Metropolitan Detention Center. Wait..What? R and D discuss: Zach Snyder's Justice League Falcon and the Winter Solider Episode 1
