On a brighter note, the Preds are playing some of their best hockey at the right time.....but will the NHL pause the season and put out the Preds flames?
This episode is about hockey. This episode is about what we do for fun. This episode was life before Monday's events. Listening to this episode today while I post it puts even more perspective on how blessed we are to do what we fun. Right now there are 25(and raising) people that will never get to do what they love again. Right now there are thousands of people cleaning up what was their life. Hug your family, friends, and teammates. We live here in the Mt. Juliet/Lebanon area, we grew up here so it hits home seeing all the damage. Seeing everyone come together makes me proud to live in this state. #NashvilleStrong.

Now that the dirty deed has been done, what does it mean for the Preds? Big Charlie McCoy is at home nursing himself after a surgery but Jordan and Eric dive into the coaching change plus some Winter Classic thoughts.
The team has traveled to the Big D to attend the Bridgestone Winter Classic and have assembled to do a special Winter Classic episode. We are so excited for the game that we can't even handle it. Join us on this episode as we just have some fun getting ready for the game.
The Preds have been hot hot on this road trip, but is it the turning point of the season? Do they have enough to keep it going through a tough December?? Find out as the gang is back on this episode of Talking Preds.

Through the first 3 games, Nashville has looked dominant and a little sloppy. How about Matt Duchene though? The dude is just racking up the assists, and the offense looks on fire. We talk about the first couple of games, how the line-ups are looking, Pred's defense, and Josi's Contract. Follow us twitter.com/talkingpreds facebook.com/talkingpreds instagram.com/talkingpreds

Your talking heads from Talking Preds are back! It was a nice off season but we are geared up and ready to bring you our insights from another Nashville Predators hockey season.
The talking heads of the Talking Preds break down some off-season moves. Tune in to hear our thoughts
Listen in as the Talking Preds give their picks as to who wins the Stanley Cup! We also dive into some free agency talks as the off season is upon us and can the Silver Fox ever get some good cell coverage??!!
Welp, the season ended, as well all know, severely short of expectations again this year. We were beat by the better team, our opponent for the Winter Classic, the Dallas Stars. Ben Bishop was a monster and should win the Vezina Trophy this year. We talk about some of the highlights and woes, and give our take on the playoffs as well as what we potentially see in the future. Stayed tuned for more playoff coverage and up-to-date information on your Nashville Predators. @talkingpreds @SoBroHerbie_B @mccoy3pm @MJSilverFox
Playoffs are in full swing and there's lots of good story lines, but nothing else matters to Preds' fans except Rocco Grimaldi. This kid is on fire and the way he plays lights the team up. Of course Rinne is the backbone of the franchise and has made some incredible saves, but Rocco gets the offense going. We cover all the playoff happenings so far, including Ovi's knockout and the two sweeps in the Easter Conference. Some things no one expected. This is a packed episode! twitter.com/talkingpreds facebook.com/talkingpreds @SobroHerbie_B @mccoy3pm @MJSilverFox
Can you believe the Preds are central division champs? What a turn around. Not only that, the Preds secure home ice advantage for the first round and a match-up with the Dallas Stars, whom just so happen to be our opponent for the Winter Classic on New Year's Day 2020. Stay tuned for all the best Preds Talk!
Is this the turn around we've been looking for? Preds looking sharp against a couple really good teams down the stretch. Brian Boyle is a big man showing his worth scoring 5 goals already, and Simmonds finally gets his tally in the Gold Sweater. twitter.com/talkingpreds facebook.com/talkingpreds
Well, we keep asking the question. Can the Preds make the run we are hoping they can? The last few months have been pretty mediocre. Find out in this latest episode from Talking Preds! twitter.com/talkingpreds facebook.com/talkingpreds instagram.com/talkingpreds @SoBroHerbie_B @mccoy3pm @StoneyKeeley @MJSilverFox
So, the elephant in the room is the trade of Kevin Fiala for Granlund from Minnesota, and all we've been hearing is about his two goals against us, and severely beating P.K. Subban; basically breaking his ankles. And while that was true, Roman Josi said it best, "He can have the two goals, we'll take the two points." To all the Subban haters, he's a great player that is high risk/high reward. We've talked about this several times, but it needs repeating. Preds look to keep the momentum up after the two shootout victories over the Wild. With 13 games left in the season, it's now or never to start the run. We get into all this and more! The Ultimate Predator dropped in on this bonus episode of Talking Preds with some awesome insight on the man behind the mask. Where did the mask come from? What was Ultimate's wrestling career? What does he think about the Preds and their potential for a Stanley Cup run? All that and more! twitter.com/talkingpreds facebook.com/talkingpreds instagram.com/talkingpreds @SoBroHerbie_B @mccoy3pm @StoneyKeeley @MJSilverFox @IAmUltimatePred
It's the chat you've been waiting for! Jillian Fisher joins us to talk all thing NHL, Trades, the Preds, and more! It was fun having her on, and I think we are all better for it! We talk about life, dreams, and goals. A heart was broken and then healed. There were tears, joy, and laughter. Everything you can imagine! Here what Jillian announces about the Winter Classic for Preds vs Stars on New Year's Day 2020! We also talk about the Pred's recent play, losing to Colorado and the Blues, as well as what they have to do to make the ultimate goal: Lord Stanley. Let us know what you think! twitter.com/talkingpreds facebook.com/talkingpreds instagram.com/talkingpreds @FisherJillian @SoBroHerbie_B @mccoy3pm @StoneyKeeley @MJSilverFox
Well, we were wrong. Duchene is not a Predator... yet. Poile made some huge moves, though, literally with seconds to spare with the NHL trade deadline. Wayne Simmonds was acquired from the Flyers for a conditional 4th round pick and Ryan Hartman. Kevin Filia was traded to Minnesota straight up for Mikael Granlund. We believe that both of these moves not only make the Predators better, but David Poile almost stole them. We talk about the latest games of the Preds and all the trade deadline news. Also, next show we are having Jillian Fisher on the show to talk all things hockey! twitter.com/talkingpreds facebook.com/talkingpreds instagram.com/talkingpreds @SoBroHerbie_B @mccoy3pm @StoneyKeeley @MJSilverFox
It's here. The final episode before the NHL Trade Deadline, and what does David Poile have up his sleeves for the Nashville Predators? Do we need any missing pieces? Is Matt Duchene the winning ticket? What will it take to get him? Who do we have to give up and can we sign him to a long term deal? All those questions and more answered in this episode! Plus, we announce a special guest coming on the show next week, so you don't want to miss finding out who it is! After a 3 game skid, losing to St. Louis Blues twice and the Detroit Redwings, where do the Predators stand? Do they have the pieces they need to compete for a cup? Can they regroup after all the injuries? What about the Power Play? All that and more in this packed episode! David Poile is using his magic again and picked up two trades. Does this make the Preds better? Listen in to find out! twitter.com/talkingpreds facebook.com/talkingpreds instagram.com/talkingpreds talkingpreds.com @SobroHerbie_B @mccoy3pm @MJSilverFox @StoneyKeeley
What an episode we have for ya'll considering the Pred's haven't played since last Wednesday night. Good news, they are back in action tomorrow night! There was a lot to cover in this episode, including some new announcements, Watson's suspension, The All-Star game, new technology, and The Winter Classic! talkingpreds.com twitter.com/talkingpreds facebook.com/talkingpreds instagram.com/talkingpreds @StoneyKeeley @SobroHerbie_B @mccoy3pm @MJSilverfox
Smashville! Your Nashville Predators have been up and done lately, but have no fear. We break down everything that's happened of the last week and where we think the Preds are headed. Is it time to panic? We answer that. We talk about trades, upcoming games and the all star break, along with Lavy getting his 600th career win. Also, special announcements in this episode! twitter.com/talkingpreds facebook.com/talkingpreds @talkingpreds @SoBroHerbie_B @StoneyKeeley @mccoy3pm @mjSilverFox
Your Nashville Predators are looking good after getting a little bit healthy. We talk about the little engines that could, as well as look ahead to the match up tonight against Winnipeg. Lots of Pred's news in this episode!
Smashville, it's your favorite fan podcast back at it with the whole gang on! There's lots to get to in this episode. 4 players on IR is no joke, and we also had a few players sick for Saturday's game against the Blackhawks. However, we still managed to go 3 - 2 in our 5 game home stand. Forsburg is out 4-6 weeks with an upper body injury. Arvidsson is still out with a broken thumb. Subban and Turris have both been out for the last couple of games. The NHL has announced approval of a 32nd team to be added through expansion in Seattle. Their season will commence for the 2021-2022 season. We speculate what will happen. We have some exciting things to announce coming up! Be sure to tune in for some interviews and the likes that we are planning. You don't want to miss them! @TalkingPreds @SoBroHerbie_B @StoneyKeeley @mccoy3pm talkingpreds.com
Rinne ties for most all time wins as a Finnish goalie with 319. Think it’s safe to say he’ll run away with that record. Perhaps tonight, unless Saros gets the start against the Blues. The 36 year old Rinne is playing lights out hockey. The Preds Power Play is looking better with a few more goals over the last couple games. It's great to see the team move without the puck, get pucks to the net, and find the back of the net to score some goals. Arvi and PK are still on the IR. We expect to see PK Subban back pretty soon, perhaps after this week. Arvi is out with a broken thumb more than likely until next year. Lots of coaches getting fired this year. We didn't see any last year. A couple reasons could explain this. Follow everyone on twitter! @SoBroHerbie_B @StoneyKeeley @mccoy3pm TalkingPreds.com Facebook.com/TalkingPreds
The entire crew of Talking Preds is back for this episode! Feels good to have the whole gang talking about our favorite team, your Nashville Predators. Pekka Rinne was on IR for about two weeks, but came back and had arguably one of the best weeks of his life. Had 42 saves against Tampa Bay only giving up one goal, then, on his birthday, signed a 2 year, $10 million extension, and put up a shut-out against Boston's high-powered offense. Ryan Johansen may be an alien with his video game like passes. He has really stepped it up this year and looks like the amazing player we all know him to be. Even with Arvidsson out, the JOFA line has produced. Chicago fires Quenneville as the head coach. It's more of an ousting on Bowman's part to save face, we think. Is any Pred's fan upset about this? I think not! Basically the Predators broke the Chicago Blackhawks, as they've dissolved into a dumpster fire since the Preds swept them in the first round of the 2017 playoffs. Tune in for the rest of this episode and don't forget to follow us on all the social medias! @TalkingPreds @SoBrosNetwork @SobroHerbie_B @StoneyKeeley @mccoy3pm
On the latest edition of Talking Preds, "Big Natural" Stoney Keeley and Herbie Brooks break down the week that was in Nashville Predators hockey. What does losing Pekka Rinne to IR mean for the team? How impressive was the Preds' ability to completely lock down Oilers superstar Connor McDavid? How can the Preds prepare for the revamped defensive corps of San Jose? All this and more on the latest episode of Talking Preds!
Your Nashville Predators are off to a 2-0 start, and you can't have a perfect season without winning the first two! Why not try to win them all? Of course, this is the NHL, where that feat would be difficult, however, it's fun to fantasize about. What can we look for in the Preds this year? Well, the core of the team is still here. The 4 defensemen, Subban, Ekholm, Ellis, and Josi are locked in. The top line looks better than ever. And the up and comers are up and coming rapidly. There's a lot to look forward to in this season. Maybe even more than the previous two seasons. We should look for another deep run in the post season. Filip Forsberg never disappoints. It was only fitting for him to score the opening goal of the season. He's only 24 years old, and the skill and talent is starting to leak superstar status. His 40 goals a year is coming soon. How many games will Pekka Rinne play this year? The confidence in Saros is unbelievable, and he backs it up every time he's between the posts. Over or under 50 games, for Pekka? Let us know what you think! We look forward to seeing everyone at Bridgestone tonight for the home opener! Come get you banner and say hi to the Talking Preds peeps. This is what we've all been waiting for! Hockey is back tonight in Nashville. There's just nothing like it, and we are ecstatic to be back talking about it. This is Talking Preds after all. The summer seemed long, but give this a listen and you'll be right back in the action. Herbie Brooks and Charlie McCoy dive into what's happened in preseason so far. The Predators looked good against Florida. The top line with Kevin Fiala joining Filip Forsberg and Ryan Johansen looked absolutely unstoppable. This was fun to watch. We also has some other contributors that was nice to see. Austin Watson was arrested over the summer. Hear our take on the situation and what the Preds have to say about it. Their statement is pretty powerful for the whole family. Ryan Ellis is with us for 7 more years! This is an excellent move by Poile and Ellis to sign a 6 year, 36 million dollar contract. Ellis left a lot of money on the table for the Preds. A humble man. Follow us on Twitter! There's nothing like being pierced through the heart by your favorite team. To feel like your soul was crushed and you did everything right, but they broke up with you, still. It's hard to describe this kind of defeat. Sometimes you just want to curl up in a ball and stay in bed all day. You keep trying to convince yourself that it just wasn't meant to be, but deep down you still feel like it was supposed to happened. That this was the year you were going to go allllllll the way. That's what happened when the Nashville Predators lost game 7 of the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs to the Winnipeg Jets... On home ICE! It's no secret that all of Smashville is defeated and there really isn't anywhere to place the blame. The entire team didn't show up to win 4 games in a 7 game series. We go over some different stats and have some different hot takes, but at the end of the day, the entire team lacked the will to win it. We aren't going anywhere, by the way! Talking Preds will be here to cover the off season and gear you up to look forward to the next season, so stay tuned! Make sure to follow us for updates! Well, Smashville, it's here. The Predators face off against the Winnipeg Jets tonight in a game 7 throw-down. Of course, winner moves on, and the loser goes golfing. But, we all knew this. It's a game 7 and almost every one predicted this series to go 7. Your Nashville Predators finished atop the NHL with 117 points, but right behind them was the Winnipeg Jets in 2nd place with 114 points. Nashville only won one more game than the Jets in the regular season. This series has literally had it's ups and downs, for both fans, but it couldn't be a more even series. We break down some stats of when these teams are even strength, and I think you'll fall out of you chair listening to them. Hopefully you're not driving and listening :) We make some bold predictions (Even some ridiculous ones...I won't mention any names... Herbie) and prepare you for Game 7 tonight. It's okay (for now), Preds fans. Take a deep breath and come on in for a little group therapy. "Big Natural" Stoney Keeley and Herbie Brooks fix the Nashville Predators in a 30-minute vent session before Game 4. What went so wrong in Game 3? Can't put all of the blame on the refs, but how bad has NHL officiating been? What do the Preds have to do to turn this series around? Plus, we discuss the outrage aimed at Taylor Lewan and the Titans offensive line for chugging beer on live television (hint: Nashville is much more "Taylor Lewan chugging beer out of a catfish" than it is "cowboy hats and Luke Bryan skinny jeans"). Or, alternatively titled "Episode 11: They hate us, 'cause they ain't us." Follow us on Twitter and Facebook! The gang's all here, and the gang's all ticked off. Join Charlie McCoy, Herbie Brooks, and "Big Natural" Stoney Keeley as the break down the first three games of the Preds-Avs series. Despite not playing their best hockey, they're still up 2-1 in the series. Plus, what's up with the Colorado media and Avs fans taking issue with the chants at Preds game, then turning around and chanting "you suck" at P.K. Subban? All this and some Juuse Saros talk with a quick look around the rest of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Follow us on Twitter and Facebook! It's that time of year that we have all been waiting for! Your Nashville Predators are the #1 seed and kicking off the playoffs tonight against the Colorado Avalanche! There's really nothing like playoff hockey, and this is the most incredible Predators team we have seen in this franchise's 20 year history. The guys discuss their playoff hype as well as how they got into the sport of hockey. From Herbie playing NHL Hits on the N64, Stoney just liking the Avalanche logo, to Charlie watching hockey in Louisiana, they all found their way to loving the Preds and what they mean to the city of Nashville. Did you fill out a bracket? Compare it to ours! We discuss our picks for every single match-up, including our predicted match-ups. This will continue these scenarios as the playoffs progress. Stanley Cup Playoff Tickets have been won! Congrats to Denise Castleberry on winning! Thanks to everyone that entered. We had a great response and you never know when we will have another give-a-way, so, keep listening! In this episode, we answer some great fan questions sent our way. We also, recorded during the Predators vs Panthers game, so there's some extra ear candy in there for you. The power play of the Preds definitely needs some work. It was abysmal for the month of March. There needs to be some more creativity along with greater movement and passing by the forwards. Johansen, Forsberg, and Turris are all too talented for us not to have a better power play. This will be crucial coming down the stretch and entering into the playoffs. Hartnell's penalty in last Saturday's game versus Buffalo was a little much in Charlie's opinion. The result shouldn't dictate the penalty, but that's what happened. Of course, our hope and prayers are with Antipin, and we are elated that he is okay, but Scott Hartnell is not a dirty player and I can guarantee you that he felt like the worst person in the world after that result. We also talk some potential playoff match-ups! Smashville has to be excited about the Predators run to Lord Stanley this year. Follow us on Twitter! Twitter.com/TalkingPreds Facebook!
