In the feature interview presented by NHL Sense Arena, Gajan shares greta stories, insights and advice from his two years of college hockey, including what changed to allow him to breakthrough this season at the University of Minnesota-Duluth and earn and entry level contract with the Blackhawks team that drafted him in the second round in 2023, and his first pro start in the AHL. Gajan also talks about his experience with Slovakia at the Olympics, including an incredible off-ice experience with Jake Oettinger, the evolving state of goalies and goalie coaching in his home country, his use of NHL Sense Arena, and lots more. In the Parent Playbook, presented by Stop it Goaltending U the App, we answer a question from one of our readers who asks if there is more value in playing 100% of the games at a lower level, or embracing an A-team challenge where they will learn to work in a tandem. Hutch also goes on a rant about how 12 year olds should not have to fight for ice time! We also review this week's Pro Reads, presented by Vizual Edge, featuring Eric Comrie of the Winnipeg Jets sharing the cheat code him and Connor Hellebuyck use to manage a 3-on-1. And in our weekly gear segment, we head to The Hockey Shop Source for Sports, for a look at the new Warrior Covert goalie stick, which is lightweight and features a lower kick point that makes it easier to quickly elevate hard passes past opposing forecheckers.

It was a tough year for Jets captain Adam Lowry who never quite got up-to-speed after offseason surgery put his training behind schedule. He was clearly not happy with how his season went personally or how it went for the team. He spoke about it today at end of season media availability.
The disappointment was palpable when we caught up with Jets top defenceman Josh Morrissey after his club failed to make the playoffs.
While it was his best year as a pro, Gabriel Vilardi was feeling the impact of his team not qualifying for the playoffs. He spoke about the year that was, the summer ahead, his willingness to play for Team Canada at the World Championship and more.
After being away from the game for over two years, Winnipegger Jonathan Toews just completed his first season back in the NHL where he played all 82 games. He spoke about achieving that milestone, playing in his home province, was asked about his future and more.
It was a disappointing conclusion to the 2025-26 season for the Jets. First player we spoke to on exit interview day was Cole Perfetti who spoke about the injury, the slow start of his season, the way the team played and more.
If that didn't sum up the season for the Jets as they get handled 6-1 by the Sharks to mercifully end the 2025-26 season. It means they will end the campaign having lost four straight game.
It was his best year personally as a professional as Mark Scheifele got to the 100 point (and beyond) mark becoming the first Jets 2.0 player to do so but the team's lack of success was a major disappointment. He spoke today about the season and looked ahead to next year.
It was a very difficult season for the Jets after going from Presidents' Trophy winner's to out of the playoffs. Reigning Hart Trophy winner Connor Hellebuyck who had to have a knee procedure early in the season, came back and won gold with the US at the Olympics but didn't experience the same success with his NHL club. Big questions from him for this team based on his conversation with us today.
Despite having back-to-back 90+ point seasons, it was a tough 2025-26 campaign as the Jets failed to reach the post-season. We heard from top Jets winger Kyle Connor after his exit meetings with the team.
Ken Wiebe and Sean Reynolds break down the final game of the regular season, a 6-1 loss for the Jets to the San Jose Sharks, who got another virtuoso performance from Macklin Celebrini.

Macklin Celebrini’s four-point night has dragged the San Jose Sharks back into the playoff picture as they now sit just one point out. It's basically a 5-team race for the final wildcard berth in the west and while the Winnipeg Jets are now two points back and surging, the Nashville Predators seem to be fading, and all the teams involved continue to root against overtime in head-to-head matchups. Meanwhile, the Edmonton Oilers seem to be peaking at the perfect time despite Leon Draisaitl’s absence due to injury, with a potential division title still in play and his expected early playoff return looming large. The Ottawa Senators’ goaltending remains a concern after Linus Ullmark’s missed starts and shaky outings, raising offseason questions despite the stability his signing was expected to bring. The Montreal Canadiens are red-hot with six straight wins, strong goaltending, and breakout performances from Cole Caufield (47 goals) and Juraj Slafkovsky, signalling a promising trajectory for the club. In Toronto, the GM search is underway following Brad Treliving’s firing, with major roster decisions potentially hinging on Auston Matthews’ long-term intentions amid a thin prospect pool and limited short-term help available. In Ask Ray & Dregs Anything; stick stomping, can the Sabres go all the way and how hard is it to remove the "colourful metaphors" from your vocabulary when transitioning to broadcasting?See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Boomer, Pinder and Rhett are joined by TSN's Darren Dreger on the Insider Hotline to break down Keith Pelley's disastrous press conference, where the Maple Leafs president had a chance to set the tone for a crucial offseason but instead delivered a vague, jargon-filled message that left more questions than answers. The guys dig into what it means for the direction of the franchise, the lack of clarity from management, and how it all ties into Auston Matthews' future in Toronto. They also shift to the playoff race, discussing the Ottawa Senators' struggles with Linus Ullmark's poor play in net and whether the Winnipeg Jets are starting to find their game at the right time.Video Link: https://youtu.be/AkOS5N7NLOQ#nhl #nhlshorts #nhlplayoffs #nhlpredictions #nhlhockey #nhlpicks #stanleycup #stanleycupfinal #calgaryflames CHECK OUT OUR STUFF ⬇️BARN BURNER MERCHhttps://nationgear.ca/collections/shirts/FlamesnationBARN BURNER SHORTS https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLj_bcGtvvo-cW2DHEDZ6dEO5ePDmlhZc9&si=jo8iNGxT4ImhS2Y8

Later, we hear from Frondell, Bertuzzi, and head coach […]
The Vegas Golden Knights made a shocking late-season move by firing Bruce Cassidy and hiring John Tortorella with just eight games remaining, a surprising twist even amid the team's struggles since the Olympic break. However, with the league’s third-worst team save percentage, questions remain about how much Torts can realistically fix. Meanwhile, the Winnipeg Jets have stormed back into contention, going from 11 points out to just three back with nine games left, while St. Louis and Philadelphia are also surging, tightening playoff races across both conferences. Minnesota and Colorado, however, might be losing their rhythm by tinkering too much down the stretch, with Ray suggesting they’d be better served locking things in ahead of the playoffs. In the East, the wildcard race is chaos—Columbus holds a spot while Ottawa, Detroit, and a red-hot Philadelphia team (8–1–1 in their last 10) are pushing hard, with standout play from Owen Tippett and Dan Vladar and top prospect Porter Martone potentially entering the mix, bringing a gritty edge reminiscent of Corey Perry. And in Ottawa, confusion lingers after James Reimer started a must-win loss to Tampa Bay, with Linus Ullmark reportedly unavailable despite rest—leaving more questions than answers as the playoff race hits the stretch run.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The U.S. wins their first gold medal in Men's hockey since the Miracle On Ice in 1980Exactly 46 years after the "Miracle on Ice" Lake Placid Games, the U.S. men's hockey team brought home another Olympic gold medal.Team USA defeated Canada 2-1 in overtime on Sunday to secure the third gold medal in American history at the Olympics.“I hope this will inspire kids to put this jersey on someday, as it's the best feeling in the world," Dylan Larkin said after the win. "What we just did, nothing will ever match this.”Matt Boldy got on the board for Team USA just six minutes into the game to give the United States an early lead.Canadian defenseman Cale Makar scored the equalizer with 1:44 left in second period to tie the game at one apiece going into the second intermission. But it was Connor Hellebuyck, who played out of his mind the entire game, who would prove to the deciding factor in the final. The Winnipeg Jets goalie put on a highlight-reel performance that will go down in hockey history. "It was an all-time performance from a superstar at his position," Matthew Tkachuk said. "It's going to go down as one of the best performances of all time. It has to. All the great United States goaltending performances you want to talk about, that's right up there. If we don't have him, we don't win.” Hellebuyck saved 41 shots in the game and made it virtually impossible for Canada to break through to the back of the net."It's a dream come true," Hellebuyck said after the game. "I love this group, we've had so much fun over here, we've grinded, we've battled, this is some of the best and most fun hockey I've ever played."See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
