The Minnesota Wild take game 1 in the opening series of the Stanley Cup Playoffs against the Dallas Stars.  Ryan Carter and Joe O'Donnell join us from the road in Dallas, where they witnessed a very strong opening game from the Wild.  John King is holding down the studio at TRIA rink, making sure the rock tumbler is rolling, and maintaining the hate, as this series is about to heat up.  Big game by nearly all Wild players, Kirill Kaprizov snipes, big goals by Matt Boldy, Ekker, Ryan Hartman, the list goes on.  Series stands at 1-0 Minnesota. The Wild clinched a playoff spot today with a win over the Ottawa Senators which is a little bit different than the down to wire manner they got in last year. Jess says Ryan Hartman is getting hot which is a good sign for the gritty postseason. The Wild have a big tilt in Detroit tomorrow who are trying to fight for a playoff spot.

Trade deadline has passed, and the Minnesota Wild have clearly made the biggest splash in the league (that just so happened a month prior to the deadline) with Quinn Hughes. Carts and King connect this week after a flurry of pods surrounding Kirill and Zuccy, the boys high school hockey tournament and the trade deadline, so it's nice to be back in the studio for some good old fashion Wild on 7th banter! King was stuck in transit earlier this week, with a huge spring snow storm wreaking havoc on his travel plans, so we've made a couple pivots and here we are...a Wednesday pod.
