Rocco Grimaldi joins host Steve Teel on this edition of Very Bold Radio. Rocco Grimaldi is one of only 4 Americans to ever be the leading scorer at the World Hockey Championships. Since 1950, only Rocco (May 2023) and Patrick Kane (2018) have accomplished this feat. In 10 games, Rocco's balanced 7 goals to go with 7 assists in Finland for a total of 14 points. On Team USA, his line of Alex Tuch (Buffalo Sabres) and Nick Bonino (Pittsburgh Penguins) helped lead the Americans to an unprecedented and undefeated run through the preliminary group (7-0) including wins over defending World Champion Finland, and a clinching group victory over the powerful Swedes. Though Team USA lost to Germany in the semis, Rocco's goal and assist helped get the team to a 3 on 3 overtime. The final game also went to a 3 on 3 overtime loss against Latvia, though Rocco added two goals and was named to the All-Tournament team. Not quite as impressive a feat, Rocco is the most interviewed guest on Very Bold Radio & Podcast with Steve Teel. Rocco Grimaldi on the Tomahawk Roundup
The Nashville Predators were two points out of first place in the Central Division going into Thursday, when they were supposed to play the Ottawa Senators. That game was postponed because 10 Senators players were in the league's COVID-19 protocol, giving Nashville a couple of extra days in Montreal, where they will face the Canadiens on Saturday night. Tennessean Predators beat reporter Paul Skrbina and columnist Gentry Estes discuss the surprising start and some reasons behind it, along with the departure of Rocco Grimaldi to Milwaukee, the play of Juuse Saros, the success without Filip Forsberg in the lineup and the identity that's finally becoming evident on the latest edition of Catfish Corner.
It's not even playoffs to be saying it's a must win game but the early struggles in Dallas and Colorado were making it feel must win. First look at Dallas losing to Nashville and Nashville's overtime win in St. Louis. A trio of NHL regulars end up on waivers. Dallas' Blake Comeau and Tanner Kero and Nashville's Rocco Grimaldi. Minnesota's back-to-back games vs Divisional rival Arizona and Vegas. Winnipeg's win over San Jose. Colorado's route of Vancouver. Why Vancouver isn't playing good. (A Pacific Division aside) Sam Girard media driven trade thoughts. Arizona takes on Chicago for the first time head-to-head this season. Recorded: November 12, & 13 2021. Poile, you got to let me know, will I stay or will I go? If you say that I am yours, I'll be a Pred until the end of time. So you got to let me know, will I stay or will I go?That's the song the Preds were singing just two weeks ago when the season seemed to a wash. Suddenly though, the Preds find themselves on six game win streak after beating Dallas on Tuesday night. The question now becomes what does Poile do? Does he stand still and try to make the playoffs with the team as it, risking a first round exit against possible Tampa or Carolina or does he trim the fat and focus on the youth movement he teased us about as the season began?Music City Gold is powered by 7Element, providing military veterans and first responders the opportunity to engage in hockey! Following a three-game win streak, the first one since October, the Nashville Predators were unsuccessful in making it four in a row, falling to the Carolina Hurricanes 4-1 Tuesday night. From the start, Nashville was outplayed by Carolina. The Predators were just slower overall, lost puck battles, didn't forecheck the way they were capable of and then allowed the Hurricanes to have multiple high danger opportunities against goaltender Juuse Saros. Nashville has two days off before heading to Chicago for a Friday night game and then back home in Nashville against Columbus Saturday night. Every point matters and the team still has games in hand, but consistency is continuing to be difficult to come by. Getting 3 of 4 points in the next two games would certainly help. Hear from Roman Josi, Rocco Grimaldi and John Hynes in the post game report powered by Chris Robinette with Lighthouse Planning.

I love Rocco and his #borntoshine wife Abby (an amazing singer/songwriter talent who will be on the show soon). We are blessed to consider them family and I count Rocco a best friend. But forget that for a minute because what we talk about here is Rocco Grimaldi’s breakthrough year with the Nashville Preds of the NHL, and his breakout playoff series where he led the Preds’ forwards in scoring with 3 goals. We talk about some of the tough times he faced to get to this point and we talk about how God led Rocco to the Nashville Predators. You’re going to enjoy all of it but be blessed as you hear Rocco talk about God’s specific powerful promises to him when there was a whole lot of uncertainty. Listen to what God put on Rocco’s heart and you’ll be inspired in your faith and reminded that Jesus is leading you as well!
The Predators and Stars Round One series races to the finish. Nashville defenseman Dan Hamhuis chats playoffs and mentoring Dante Fabbro and Rocco Grimaldi. Plus, Thomas Willis and Brooks Bratten dive deep into the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Playoffs are in full swing and there's lots of good story lines, but nothing else matters to Preds' fans except Rocco Grimaldi. This kid is on fire and the way he plays lights the team up. Of course Rinne is the backbone of the franchise and has made some incredible saves, but Rocco gets the offense going. We cover all the playoff happenings so far, including Ovi's knockout and the two sweeps in the Easter Conference. Some things no one expected. This is a packed episode! twitter.com/talkingpreds facebook.com/talkingpreds @SobroHerbie_B @mccoy3pm @MJSilverFox
The Nashville Predators fell to the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins 2-1 in the shootout Tuesday night. The game featured multiple back and forth efforts between the two teams before Pittsburgh took a 1-0 lead late in the second period. It wasn't until there was only about 3:00 minutes remaining in regulation that Ryan Ellis scored the tying goal to force the game to overtime. It was Sidney Crosby that scored in the shootout to give the Penguins the victory. Overall, it was a positive locker room as they knew they had a solid defensive effort, continuing to build on the previous three victories they earned. Hear from Ryan Ellis, Rocco Grimaldi, Pekka Rinne and head coach Peter Laviolette in Justin Bradford's post game report.
Episode 247 Rocco Grimaldi plays professional hockey with the Nashville Predators in the NHL. He was selected in the second round (33rd overall) by the Florida Panthers in the 2011 NHL Draft after playing his college hockey at the University of North Dakota. He made his NHL debut on November 1, 2014 with Florida and even had the unique honor of playing in 2 professional hockey games, with 2 different teams, in the same day. He was traded from Florida to Colorado on June 23, 2016 and then signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Nashville Predators in July of 2018. On this episode of the podcast, we talk to Rocco about the grind of playing in the NHL, how he lives his faith out as a hockey player, being patient in the midst of adversity, and how he came to play 2 pro hockey games with 2 different teams in the same day. With the news that Dallas will host the 2020 Winter Classic — but no word yet on an opponent — there are several reasons why the Predators would be a no-brainer in the contest. But would it be better to wait for an outdoor game to come to Nashville instead? Also, Viktor Arvidsson is the engine that runs the Predators, and Rocco Grimaldi continues to be the hardest working Predator.
Following their 2-0 loss to the Dallas Stars, Nashville Predators forward Rocco Grimaldi spoke with Justin Bradford. Nashville put up 49 shots on goal, but couldn't capitalize on their chances. The line up was also a little different as Viktor Arvidsson and PK Subban were back on the ice.
It's the most wonderful time of the year! We're only one week away from Christmas and we all want is a strong Preds finish to the year. Injuries abound still and the boys are hitting some rough paths. Here's hoping they get back to winning ways. We pick our best/worst Preds game since we last recorded, and Brooks Bratten and Thomas Willis of the Predators stop by to talk with us for a bit. Happy Thanksgiving from us at MCG!You can find the show @MusicCityGold on Twitter and the guys at:Kyle - @kylehancockDaniel - @seedandrumMatt - @MattBain31
