Too often you see someone and you make a snap decision. A judgment. We all do it. But what if we push past where we would usually stop or dismiss a person and got really curious about another person, especially if they are ‘different' than us?What would we learn about them, our vision of the world and even ourselves? What I always find is a human being who wants to be seen and heard and who is interested in what I have to say in exchange.Jasmin Murphy is a Wellness Advocate who modifies fitness and exercise for herself and others. She empowers people to start where they are and to examine what is right for them in their journey of weight loss and fitness. How freeing is that? You don't have to be cookie cutter in your approach to anything. You don't have to hide until it is perfect. Doing a thing because everyone else is, is something my parents broke me out of early on. I had to come up with my own reasoning in the why of it all. If I couldn't do this simple step, I was discouraged or forbad to do the thing. It isn't personal. But it definitely, definitely feels like it. And it hurts. As the saying goes: everything happens for a reason, for a season or for a lifetime. Life is a string of seasons. A person entered your life because you were at a certain level in your life. And when you change, so do the people around you, if they aren't willing to change in the new ways that you have decided are important and vital to you. Every person has their own opinion (agenda) about what you should do, the pace in which you should do it and how. They make it seem like you would offend them if don't. When the opinion comes from someone you respect and honor, the knee-jerk response may be to follow their blueprint for your life. However AND, it is important to value your own opinion, to go at your own pace and live up to your own agenda. One of the ways, we give up our POWER is not daring to dream. You blink and you boom you are a grown up. You feel like you must choose between grown up responsibilities and your imagination. The truth is you can have both. It may not be easy, but it is NOT impossible. What if you could dream out loud? What if you could achieve your dreams? What if you didn't compare yourself to others? You are as unique as a fingerprint. If you want the answers, you gotta be willing to go inside.--------------------------------------------------------------------Visit my website for show notes for this podcast, links and information referenced from this show at: https://fondaclayton.com/episode-2-dont-give-your-power-away/.Connect with FondaInstagram (http://www.instagram.com/fondaclayton)Facebook Community (http://facebook.com/groups/powerfilledwoman)I love hearing from you!Post in the group (http://facebook.com/groups/powerfilledwoman) OR email me at info@fondaclayton.comWould you do me a solid?
