In the original languages of Hebrew and Greek, the meaning of the word ‘repentance' is fundamentally the same: to turn around, or to turn back. Being a vital element of a relationship with the Creator, Elohim grants the gift of repentance to those He chooses. Within that gift of repentance is a sense of remorse and regret. When repentance is from a sincere heart, the relationship is restored.Rabbi Steve Berkson teaches the deep and sometimes hidden meaning of repentance and all it involves.• Opener• Review• Ephesians 4:1-6 – Worthiness connected to Torah observance• Colossians 1:10 – To walk worthily of the Master• Romans 2:5-8 – What are ‘good works'?• Colossians 1:10-15 – Where you're supposed to be• Matthew 4:13-17 – Darkness and Light• Ezekiel 22:26-30 – Repair the breach• Isaiah 9:1-4 – The people saw a great light• Ephesians 5:8-15 – Walk as children of light• 1 John 2:6 – The true Light now shines• John 14:6-18 – Do you have the Helper?• 1 John 2:4-11 – Walking in darkness • Matthew 4:17 – The message was repentance Listen to the Afterburn tomorrowSubscribe to take advantage of new content every week.To learn more about MTOI, visit our website, https://mtoi.org.https://www.facebook.com/mtoiworldwide https://www.instagram.com/mtoi_worldwidehttps://www.tiktok.com/@mtoi_worldwide You can contact MTOI by emailing us at admin@mtoi.org or calling 423-250-3020. Join us for Shabbat Services and Torah Study LIVE, streamed on our website, mtoi.org, YouTube, and Rumble every Saturday at 1:15 p.m. and every Friday for Torah Study Live Stream at 7:30 p.m. Eastern time.

In this deeply moving episode of Healthy Waves, we dive into the heart of motherhood with Ashley P. Lambert—Faith-Based Lifestyle Strategist and founder of the Mama's Golden Era Movement. If you're a mom feeling exhausted, invisible, or like you've lost your spark, this conversation is your call to pause, reset, and rise. Ashley unpacks the spiritual and emotional toll modern motherhood takes on women and offers a clear, Christ-centered path back to purpose, peace, and power. About the Guest:Ashley P. What if your worth had nothing to do with your reflection—and everything to do with your radiance?Hi loves! Today's Empowering Her episode is a heart-to-heart that's been building in my coaching sessions with teen girls and in my own mirror moments. I felt called to press record before Friday night guests arrived because this message couldn't wait.Let's talk about worthiness.Too many girls—and let's be honest, too many of us grown women—are letting the mirror determine our mood, our joy, our entire day. We've tied our self-worth to how “good” we think we look. And when we don't like what we see? We shrink. In this soul-led episode, I walk you through the very advice I give the girls I coach when they're stuck in this pattern—and how we shift from an outside-in model to a deeply rooted, inside-out truth. You'll hear me dive into:Why our reflection is not the authority on our worthHow I'm embracing my changing body in my 40s—and what I teach girls about the beauty of agingThe truth that you are a masterpiece because you are a piece of the MasterHow to ask, “Who am I when no one's watching and no one's commenting?”Mirror mantras, daily rituals, and affirmations to anchor your identityHow to curate your social media feed to support your self-worth instead of sabotage itPractices to help you fall in love with your essence—not just your appearanceThis isn't just for the girls I coach. This is for the inner girl in you, too.Because worthiness isn't earned. It's remembered.

His third album, "Innovation of Grave Perversity," was recorded remotely during lockdown in 2020-2021.Eric describes his approach to music as "earthiness, textures... naturalism rather than gloss," setting him apart from more mainstream queer artists. His work is explicitly queer without being ambiguous, as he believes in the importance of authentic representation in music.Living with agoraphobia, Eric has adapted his creative process to work within his limitations, collaborating remotely with other musicians and finding connection through his art despite physical isolation.Key Quotes"I never wanted anything to be veiled in ambiguity, purposefully, for the sake of making it palatable to somebody who is uncomfortable with an LGBTQ perspective.""If you asked me to drive to the corner shop a mile down the road to me, that would feel like you're asking me to jump out of an airplane... the level of anxiety is so high it feels like you're doing something wild.""Just because you don't have the life that you envisioned for yourself and the life that you expected... it doesn't mean that it's the wrong life for you. It doesn't mean that it is in any way invalid, you know, not valuable.""Worthy. What a thing to claim. And it really is. It's a very powerful idea to say to yourself, I am worthy. In this episode, D'Arcy and her sister April dive deep into what it means to reclaim love on your own terms—especially when you've spent years minimizing your needs, hiding your pain, or staying small to feel safe. Together, they explore how worthiness, visibility, and nervous system regulation play a role in opening yourself back up to being loved, seen, and supported. They reflect on how generational and cultural conditioning can disconnect us from our bodies and our truth—and how honoring your story, even the messy parts, is a radical act of love in itself. Through personal shares and honest conversation, they unpack the internal barriers that keep us from receiving love and what it looks like to rewrite that story in real time. In this episode, you'll hear about: Feeling unseen and unmet, and the grief of naming it The protective patterns that help us survive but later keep us stuck Learning to stay in your body when old wounds resurface The tenderness of letting yourself be known, even when it's scary How regulation and self-compassion create space for deeper connection The process of reclaiming love—not from others, but for yourself This is a conversation for anyone longing to come home to themselves, to feel held without performing, and to remember that love doesn't have to be earned. You are already worthy.

DescriptionDo you ever feel like there's a specific area of your life where you struggle no matter what you do? I spent years doing all the “right” things—vision boards, affirmations, money mindset work, deep dives into my blocks, all in hopes of becoming someone who deserved abundance. But no matter how hard I worked, nothing changed the way I hoped. The promises of the law of attraction and prosperity gospel started to feel like gaslighting—like if it wasn't working, it must be my fault. I internalized it as failure, as proof that I was broken or cursed when it came to money. And it wasn't just the inner work—I worked hard in external ways too. I built skills, pursued opportunities, worked on professional growth, and still found myself hitting the same walls. It left me questioning my worth and wondering if success was only for people who already felt whole. But I'm learning that healing isn't a prerequisite for success or for being seen, respected, or loved. We don't have to be perfectly aligned or “fixed” to deserve a breakthrough. We can be in process and still be enough. We can be messy and still make progress. Our worth isn't something we have to earn—it's something we carry with us, something God has already give us, even when nothing's working out the way we hoped.Time Stamps Christian Emotional Recovery Resources Podcast WebsiteAccess Episodes, Get Free Resources, and More Facebook GroupJoin Community, Get Support, and Get Weekly Encouragement YouTube ChannelSubscribe for Exclusive Material Not on Podcast Christian Emotional Recovery StoreGet meditations, infographics, journals, and other resources for your healing journey Trauma SurvivorsCheck out Resources Page for Trauma Survivors Email ListGet updates on episodes, platform, resources, and products Free ResourceFree Visual A.C.O.R.N Resource to Heal Difficult Emotions Donate Monthly Through PatreonHelp More Trauma Survivors Through This Ministry ...

Many of this show's listeners are aware of the incredible podcast, "At Last She Said It." Its co-hosts, Susan Hinckley and Cynthia Winward, are long-time friends personally and have been on this show several times. They are always insightful and well-spoken, but we are so excited that they now have moved from the spoken to the written word. In this episode, LDF host Dan Wotherspoon and LDF board member Mark Crego celebrate with them the very recent release of their book, At Last She Said It: Honest Conversations about Faith, Church, and Everything in Between (Signature Books, 2025).   Through a great conversation, we learn what went on behind the scenes from conception to completion of the book, with a focus on what it includes and why. At every step, Cynthia and Susan give background on the book's five sections and the essays and dialogues within them. We discuss why they have chosen on the podcast and now in the book to discuss openly many of the "p-words" that women (and more and more, men) have long had difficulty with, among them patriarchy, priesthood, presiding, and polygamy. The book also features essays other difficult topics (and we have discussions on some of them), including God, Grace, Obedience, Fear, Worthiness, the Temple, and "when women are the problem." All in all, the book contains twenty-six essays, all of which discuss their subjects in ways that are personal and self-revelatory as well as insightful. Don't miss this conversation among old friends that not only features important things but also easy banter and laughs! Join in the fun!
