Most men carry a wound they rarely talk about—and it often begins with their relationship with their father. Whether your dad was absent, emotionally unavailable, overly critical, or simply unable to give you what you needed, that experience can quietly shape your identity, relationships, ambition, anger, and even the way you parent your own children. In this episode, Ryan shares his own story of growing up without a present father and explores how the "father wound" influences countless men long into adulthood. More importantly, he explains why understanding the wound isn't about making excuses—it's about taking responsibility, breaking generational cycles, and becoming the man your children need. If you've ever found yourself chasing approval, struggling to feel "enough," or determined not to repeat your father's mistakes, this conversation is for you.   SHOW HIGHLIGHTS 00:00 The Father Wound Most Men Never Discuss 02:36 Growing Up Without a Present Father 04:52 The Hidden Cost of Father Absence 06:40 What the Father Wound Really Is 08:54 How the Wound Shows Up in Adult Men 13:21 Understanding Isn't the Same as Blaming 14:45 Grieve It—Don't Bury It 15:52 Becoming Your Own Father 18:43 Stop Waiting for His Approval 21:02 Breaking the Generational Cycle 22:30 Forgiveness Is Not the Finish Line 24:41 Build Your Band of Brothers (Iron Council) 26:06 Final Thoughts   Battle Planners: Pick yours up today! Everyone is so obsessed with what's next that they've forgotten to appreciate what's right in front of them.In this solo episode, I dive into the dangerous habit of constantly comparing your life to everyone else's highlight reel and why that mindset guarantees you'll never feel successful no matter how much you achieve.I talk about the importance of celebrating wins, being present in the season you're currently in, and why if you can't appreciate today, you probably won't appreciate tomorrow either. We also discuss what becoming a father taught me about slowing down, embracing the moment, and recognizing that five years ago I'd be damn proud of the man I've become today.Maybe you're not behind. But what if waiting for those things to disappear is actually what's keeping you stuck?         This week, discover why the desire for alcohol isn't the obstacle you think it is and why lasting change doesn't come from eliminating temptation. You'll hear why cravings, justifications, and excuses are a normal part of having a human brain, how making them a problem gives them more power, and what happens when you stop waiting for the urge to go away and start learning how to respond differently instead.     Find a personalized approach that helps you change your habit in my new book, The Ultimate Guide to Drinking Less, here: https://rachelhart.com/guide/   Discover alternative approaches to drinking less inside our membership program, Take a Break: https://rachelhart.com/tab/   Get the full show notes, transcript, and more information here: https://rachelhart.com/474

Why You Should Stop Waiting for the “Right Time” to Take a Career Break (Taking A Career Break with Katrina Crossover)This week on Winging It, I'm sharing a special crossover episode from my other podcast, Taking A Career Break with Katrina McGhee. I really feel our two audiences do crossover, so I am sharing one of our most popular episodes with you. Please check out the rest of the catalogue for everything relating to a career break.Episode 67 - Why You Should Stop Waiting for the “Right Time” to Take a Career Break ShownotesIf you've ever dreamed of taking a career break, travelling the world, changing direction, or simply pressing pause on the life you've built, you've probably told yourself the same thing many of us do:"I'll do it when the timing is right."The truth is, there may never be a perfect time.In this episode, Katrina and I dive into one of the biggest reasons people never take a career break: waiting for the mythical "right time." We explore why life will always present obstacles, why fear often disguises itself as practicality, and how delaying your dreams can lead to years of wondering "what if?"Is there ever a right time to take a career break—or are you just waiting forever? From economic uncertainty and job market fears to internal pressure and workplace guilt, they unpack why it always feels like the wrong time—and why that thinking is keeping you stuck.Katrina introduces the concept of PHOBO (Fear of Becoming Obsolete) and explains how this fear shows up both before and during a career break—often preventing people from fully committing to the change they need. You'll learn why the “perfect moment” doesn't exist, how your brain is wired to keep you in survival mode, and what it actually takes to create a good enough time to step away and reset your life.If you've been telling yourself “maybe next year” or “once things settle down,” this episode will challenge that narrative—and help you take your first real step toward a career break.Taking A Career Break with Katrina McGheeApple Podcasts - https://podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/taking-a-career-break-with-katrina-mcghee/id1772602758Spotify - https://open.spotify.com/show/1lRPigXIghYUw82Eqak0mF?si=b956d5b826df4cf1YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/@TakingaCareerBreakwithKatrinaReady to stop "running on empty" and start running toward a life you actually love?

Most investors are waiting for rate cuts, but the bigger opportunity could disappear first, as borrowing power, refinancing flexibility, and access to equity already shift beneath the surface. On The Smart Property Investment Show, Phil Tarrant sits down with Eva Loisance and Julie Brennan from Finni Mortgages to decode what the latest interest rate hold means for investors and why lenders may already be positioning for the next phase of the cycle. The trio explains that while many borrowers are waiting for official rate cuts, banks are already making moves behind the scenes, with falling fixed rates offering clues about where lenders think the market is headed. The discussion reveals why refinancing has become one of the most powerful tools available to investors, particularly as serviceability rules, lender policies, and borrowing capacity continue to shift. Attention then turns to the proposed changes to negative gearing and capital gains tax, with Loisance and Brennan warning that investors who fail to review their lending structures now could miss opportunities to strengthen their position before the rules change. Welcome to Your Quiet Moment. I'm so glad you're here. Today I want to talk about something that might seem simple on the surface but carries surprising depth. We're going to explore the idea of allowing joy. Not chasing it, not earning it, not performing our way into it. Just allowing it. Letting it arrive. Letting it move through you without grabbing hold of the handles of worry and pulling the door shut before it can walk in. I know what you're thinking. Joy sounds lovely in theory, but your life is complicated. You have responsibilities, uncertainties, people counting on you, things that could go wrong at any moment. You don't have time for joy right now. Or maybe you feel like you don't deserve it yet.

Sleep Calming and Relaxing ASMR Thunder Rain Podcast for Studying, Meditation and Focus

There is something you have been waiting for. You have been waiting for the moment when things feel normal again. The moment when the anxiety lifts and you feel like yourself again. The moment when the world stops feeling like it is tilted and you can stand on solid ground again. And you have been waiting. And waiting. And the moment has not come. The normal you were waiting for has not arrived. And you have been wondering what is wrong with you. Why you cannot shake this feeling. Why the ground does not feel solid. Why the tilted world will not straighten out. Why you keep waiting for something that does not seem to be coming. And every day the waiting continues. Every day you wake up hoping that today is the day the fog lifts. And every night you go to bed disappointed that it did not.

What would change in your life if you stopped waiting for permission and finally trusted yourself? In this episode, Lacy, Jessica, and Janelle explore one of the most transformative energies in manifestation: the unapologetic self-worth that comes from fully being yourself. As the community moves through the Be Seen Challenge, they unpack the collective themes emerging right now: navigating uncertainty in a rapidly changing world, releasing outdated beliefs around success, hustle, relationships, visibility, and identity. They dive into the fears that keep us hidden and cover nervous system regulation, shadow work, authenticity, burnout, and manifestation. Your authenticity is your greatest signal to the universe. In this podcast we will be talking about 6 Ways To Enjoy Your Life To The Fullest from the philosophy of Albert Camus. Albert Camus was a French-Algerian philosopher who built his life's work around the philosophy of absurdism. So here are 6 Ways To Enjoy Your Life To The Fullest from the philosophy of Alber Camus - 01. Stop Waiting for Life to Give You a Meaning02. Kill "Hope" 03. Embrace the Daily Grind04. Prioritize the "Quantity" of the Present Over the "Quality"05. Reconnect with the physical world06. RebelWe hope you listening to this podcast and hope this video, from the philosophy of Camus, helps you to enjoy life to the fullest. Albert Camus is one of the greatest French writers and thinkers. He was a philosopher, an author and a journalist. He won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1957 and his most famous works are The Stranger, The Plague, The Myth of Sisyphus, The Fall, and The Rebel. Camus is one of the most representative figures of the philosophy of the “absurd” or “absurdism,” which is a philosophical movement having as its central hypothesis that human beings exist in a purposeless, chaotic universe. Camus considered that absolute freedom must be balanced with absolute justice - too much freedom leads to the situation when the strong suppresses the weak but too much justice kills freedom, and we need to live and let live. As a promoter of the philosophy of the “absurd”, Camus believed that life has no meaning, that the universe simply exists and that it is indifferent to people's lives. We are like Sisyphus from Greek mythology, forever carrying that heavy rock to the top of the hill, although we know the rock will always fall down and our life's work is meaningless. Our condition might be tragic, but Camus considered that this exact condition hides a blessing in disguise: life does not have a meaning, but we are free to attribute it any meaning we want. His philosophy has inspired a lot of  people in dealing with the absurdity of life and even today, his philosophy is extremely relevant.

In today's Monday Mindset episode, I talked through the mindset shift that changes the game for teachers and for anyone chasing a bigger life: Ready isn't a feeling, it's a Decision. I share what I told a friend who asked how I went from an idea to building EB Academics, and why the real “secret” isn't a magic checklist. It's the willingness to take the first step and keep taking micro steps, even when the outcome is unclear. We also get practical about the mid-June to August spiral: you promise next year will be different, you rest, you plan, you delay, and then you return overwhelmed because nothing got implemented.Along the way, we reframe classroom mistakes as feedback, not failure, and we look uncertainty in the face instead of sprinting back to comfort. If you've been telling yourself, “I'll do that when I'm ready,” this is your nudge and your permission slip. Make Math Moments Problem Based Lessons & Units Description:Many school systems measure success in math education by one thing: math test scores. But what if waiting for scores to improve is actually slowing down meaningful change?Math test scores are often treated as proof that math professional development, initiatives, or instructional changes are working. But the reality is, they're lagging indicators—they tell us what already happened, not what's happening right now. When math leaders focus only on math test scores and outcomes, they risk missing the daily classroom experiences that actually produce those outcomes. Sustainable improvement doesn't come from chasing math test scores. It comes from redesigning the systems, structures, and instructional experiences that shape student learning every day.In this episode, you'll explore:Why math test scores are lagging indicators in math improvementThe difference between activity and actual impactWhat math leaders should measure instead of waiting for outcomesHow classroom experiences shape long-term achievementWhy systems—not individuals—drive resultsWhat it means to “change the change” in math educationIf you're feeling pressure to prove improvement through math test scores alone, this episode will help you rethink what meaningful progress actually looks like—and how to build systems that create lasting change.Show Notes PageLove the show? After betrayal, it is natural to want the whole map before you move. You want to know if your marriage can be saved, if they are telling the truth, whether you will regret staying or leaving, and if you will ever feel like yourself again. But what if the map does not appear until you move? In this episode, Lora Cheadle shares a story from her 10-year podcast anniversary trip to New York, where her GPS kept spinning and recalculating until she finally started walking. That moment became the perfect metaphor for betrayal recovery: standing still does not always create clarity. Sometimes movement creates clarity. Through stories from New York, Broadway, The Wizard of Oz, Wicked, and her own betrayal recovery journey, Lora explores why healing requires more than listening, learning, or waiting to see what your partner will do. Healing requires a path, a plan, support, and the willingness to take the next step. If you are tired of spiraling, eroding your boundaries, betraying yourself to keep the peace, or waiting for someone else to become clear before you reclaim your own life, this episode will help you understand why it is time to stop waiting for the map to appear and take the path.   Top 3 Takeaways The map may not appear until you move. After betrayal, it is tempting to wait for certainty before taking action. But clarity often comes through movement, not before it. Listening is not the same as having a plan. Podcasts, books, therapy, and support groups can all be helpful, but gathering information is not the same as walking a structured recovery path. You do not have to walk the path alone. Healing after betrayal requires heart, head, courage, support, and action. Like Dorothy gathering companions along the Yellow Brick Road, you need people and a process to help you move forward.   Favorite Quote “The map will not appear until you move. The men who win are not the ones who have it all figured out. They are the ones who keep evolving. In this episode, inspired by a real conversation with my son and two of my clients in the same week, I break down the Evolve, Execute, Embody framework — and why misalignment between who you are and how you are living is the root cause of most men's unhappiness. Inside this episode: •Why my son went from down in the dumps to running a 5k — in one evening •The Evolve, Execute, Embody cycle and why most men get stuck before they even start •Why "I'll start Monday" is the most dangerous sentence in a man's vocabulary •How misalignment creates friction, unhappiness, and stalled progress •My four identity keywords — peace, simplicity, contentment, calm — and why my career was the opposite •Why chasing a seven or eight-figure business is not the goal for everyone — and the freedom in admitting that •How to identify your own identity pillars and build a life that is actually aligned to them •Why becoming the man you want to be is the most dangerous and powerful place you can be Stop waiting. Have you ever felt like your dreams are just out of reach, like you're doing all the right things but somehow still scattered, stretched thin, and unsure if it's working? What if the secret isn't doing more, but learning how to do what you already know? In this episode, Dr. Beth sits down with serial entrepreneur, media powerhouse, and dear mentor Deborrah “Deb” Drummond, a woman who has built seven businesses, mentored hundreds of women (and also  “cool dudes”) around the world, and lives by the belief that your body is your "most important real estate." Deb opens up about saying yes when life pushes you forward, the difference between a "journey" and "the stretch," and why most people are unintentionally "popcorning" their efforts instead of building with purpose. She explains that while our dreams and our Mission might be exciting and “sexy “, the tedious steps that it takes to get there are often not sexy, and not as dramatic as one might think. From a surprise pregnancy in her twenties that launched her first business, to building Mission Accepted Media and the celebrated 262 movement for women entrepreneurs, Deb shares the wisdom of a life lived intentionally  and the faith it takes to keep choosing your path. What You'll Learn in This Episode: Why "pick your hard" is the most freeing reframe for entrepreneurs and dreamers alike How to recognize when you're "popcorning" your efforts and how to build a real intentional plan instead The difference between what you do and who you do (and why people buy the second one) How small, consistent baby steps create exponential growth over time Why your body, your inputs, and your community matter as much as your strategy How to build a team  and a life rooted in shared values, not just shared skills About Our Guest: Deb Drummond is the founder and visionary behind Mission Accepted Media, the Stand Up, Speak Up, Show Up Yes You women's summits, the Women's Channel, and the bestselling 262 book series spotlighting self-funding women entrepreneurs. A long-time coach, speaker, and media strategist, Deb helps women and the cool dudes in their corner become known not just for what they do, but for who they are. In this powerful continuation of the Gate of Repentance (Shaar HaTeshuvah), Rabbi Aryeh Wolbe explains why delaying repentance is one of the greatest spiritual mistakes a person can make. Many people convince themselves that they will focus on spiritual growth "later"—after accumulating wealth, after reaching retirement, or after achieving their personal goals. Yet the Orchot Tzaddikim teaches that human desire is never fully satisfied. The person who seeks one hundred wants two hundred; the person who acquires two hundred wants four hundred. If repentance is postponed until after worldly ambitions are fulfilled, that day may never arrive. True growth begins when a person decides to act now rather than waiting for perfect circumstances.A central theme of the episode is the brevity of life and the illusion that we have unlimited time. Rabbi Wolbe vividly illustrates how quickly life passes and reminds listeners that none of us knows how much time we have. The work of spiritual growth is extensive, while our days are limited. Teshuvah is not merely regret—it is a moment of profound clarity when a person suddenly realizes that Hashem has been present all along, seeing every action, hearing every word, and knowing every intention. Like students shocked to discover that the principal has been standing in the back of the classroom the entire time, we awaken during the High Holiday season to the reality of Divine awareness and accountability. The episode also introduces the practical process of repentance. Before meaningful change can occur, a person must honestly acknowledge their mistakes rather than minimizing or rationalizing them. Rabbi Wolbe emphasizes that repentance is not reserved only for dramatic sins. Everyday actions—speech, dishonesty, neglecting mitzvos, hurting another person's feelings, or violating rabbinic safeguards—also require reflection and correction. Genuine teshuvah begins with self-awareness, personal responsibility, and the courage to recognize where improvement is needed. Through this process, every person can reconnect with Hashem and begin anew._____________This Podcast Series is Generously Underwritten by Peter & Becky BotvinRecorded at TORCH Centre in the Levin Family Studios (B) to a live audience on September 8, 2025, in Houston, Texas.Released as Podcast on June 9, 2026_____________This series on Orchos Tzadikim/Ways of the Righteous is produced in partnership with Hachzek.Join the revolution of daily Mussar study at hachzek.com.We are using the Treasure of Life edition of the Orchos Tzadikkim (Published by Feldheim)_____________Listen, Subscribe & Share: Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/jewish-inspiration-podcast-rabbi-aryeh-wolbe/id1476610783Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/4r0KfjMzmCNQbiNaZBCSU7) to stay inspired! Share your questions at aw@torchweb.org or visit torchweb.org for more Torah content.  _____________About the Host:Rabbi Aryeh Wolbe, Director of TORCH in Houston, brings decades of Torah scholarship to guide listeners in applying Jewish wisdom to daily life.  To directly send your questions, comments, and feedback, please email: awolbe@torchweb.org_____________Support Our Mission:Our Mission is Connecting Jews & Judaism. If you keep waiting to feel motivated before you work out, start the routine, send the email, clean the house, post the content, or follow through on the thing you said you wanted, this episode is for you. In this episode, Allie breaks down why motivation never lasts, why waiting to "feel like it" keeps you stuck in the start-stop cycle, and why everything you want is on the other side of boring consistency. This is not about forcing yourself, ignoring your body, or pushing through burnout. It's about understanding the difference between real rest and avoidance, self-leadership and mood-led living, and why consistency cannot depend on a temporary feeling. You'll learn why motivation is fleeting, why your brain keeps returning to familiar patterns, why boring consistency builds self-trust, and how small, imperfect action creates identity evidence. If you struggle with staying consistent, following through, all-or-nothing thinking, procrastination, self-sabotage, or waiting until you feel ready, this episode will help you stop handing your future to your mood. And if you're ready to stop starting over and become the woman who actually follows through, come to Allie's free live class Tuesday at 11am PT: Stop Starting Over: The 5 Steps to Becoming the Woman Who Follows Through alliecasazza.com/stopstartingover

Ep207 Stop Waiting for ACCESS Scores to Tell You What to Teach

In Episode 207 of the Equipping ELLs podcast, Beth Vaucher makes a case that most ELL teachers need to hear: you already have more data about your students' language development than any standardized test will ever give you. The question is not whether the data exists — it absolutely does. The question is whether you are collecting it intentionally and using it to drive your instruction.Beth opens with one of the most common ways ELL teachers accidentally limit their own effectiveness: waiting. Waiting for ACCESS scores. Waiting for a language proficiency report. Waiting for a scope and sequence the school never provides. Waiting for official data to tell them what their students need. And the problem with that approach, she explains, is simple — those scores were collected in January or February, and by the time you receive them, your student has been acquiring language every single day. The score is a photograph of someone who has already grown. Waiting for ACCESS scores to plan instruction, she says, is like driving while only looking in the rearview mirror. The heart of the episode is a practical, domain-by-domain framework for intentional observation that teachers can start using immediately. Beth begins with listening — a domain she identifies as the most powerful predictor of success across all other domains and one that is often skipped because it feels harder to observe. She gives concrete signals to watch for: whether a student can follow multi-step directions without looking at a peer, whether they can respond accurately to comprehension questions, whether they laugh at jokes and understand social context, whether they can follow a lesson without visuals. She also introduces a practical tool that many teachers overlook — the three-sentence dictation — which simultaneously reveals listening comprehension, sound-letter connections from reading instruction, and writing development in one simple activity.Speaking observation is about more than whether a student talks. Beth walks through specific indicators: Are they using complete sentences or single words? Spontaneous language or only when asked? Can they explain their thinking or only describe what they see? Are they using academic vocabulary or only conversational language? Are they self-correcting or attempting complex structures? Each indicator maps directly to a specific instructional response.Reading observation, Beth emphasizes, must go beyond decoding. A student who can read fluently but cannot tell you what the text was about is not a proficient reader — they are a decoder. She has seen this frequently with multilingual learners and stresses the importance of observing comprehension separately from fluency, because the instruction needed is completely different.Writing gives teachers the most permanent record of language development. Beth guides teachers through what to look for: sentence completeness, punctuation, academic versus conversational vocabulary, paragraph organization, planning and graphic organizer use, sentence variety, and whether errors are consistent or random. Consistent errors — like missing articles — are actually good news. They show exactly what the student is working on acquiring and tell you precisely what to address next. The episode then addresses the practical reality of observing 30 students across four domains. Beth's solution is elegant: pick one domain per week. Focus your observation lens entirely on that domain for all your students, then shift the following week. Over four weeks you have current data across all four domains for every student — far more useful, specific, and actionable than any annual test score. She also gives practical note-taking suggestions: a folder for sticky notes, a notebook, a phone notes app, or a Google Form that organizes data automatically. The episode closes with the language domain rubrics — a free resource that transforms vague observation into a precise, repeatable system by giving teachers specific, research-backed indicators for what language development looks like at each proficiency level in each domain.FREE RESOURCE: DM the word RUBRICS to @EquippingELLs on Instagram for the free language domain rubrics — ready to use in your classroom right away.

Why Podcasting Is the Smartest Visibility Move You Can Make in 2026

If you're tired of chasing the algorithm, this episode is for you. One day reels are working. The next day everyone says carousels are back. Then someone tells you long-form captions are dead. Another person says you need to post three times a day. Before you know it, you're spending more time trying to keep up with social media than actually growing your business. And that's exhausting. In this episode, I'm sharing why podcasting may be one of the smartest visibility moves you can make in 2026 — not because it's trendy, but because it gives you something social media often doesn't: Depth. Connection. Authority. Trust. We talk about why relying solely on social media can keep coaches stuck in an endless cycle of content creation, how podcasting creates deeper relationships with potential clients, and why your voice may be one of your most powerful business assets. If you've been thinking about starting a podcast, or you're looking for a more sustainable way to grow your visibility, this conversation will help you see what's possible.   In This Episode, We Cover: • Why social media is a rented platform • The problem with chasing the algorithm • What a "trust recession" means for coaches • Why podcasting builds deeper trust than social media • How podcasts help establish authority in your niche • Why podcast listeners become warmer leads • How podcasting shortens the trust-building process • The four foundational podcast episodes every coach should create • How to repurpose podcast content into weeks of marketing • Why perfection is keeping many coaches from getting started   A Message I Want You to Hear You do not need to be the loudest coach online. You do not need to post ten times a day. You do not need to chase every trend. What you need is a clear message, a consistent voice, and a way to build trust with the people you are meant to serve. Because your future clients don't just need information. They need to trust the person behind the information.   Why Social Media Alone Isn't Enough Social media is a powerful discovery tool. But it's also a rented stage. You don't control who sees your content. You don't control platform updates. You don't control algorithm changes. And when your entire business depends on a platform you don't own, visibility can feel unpredictable and frustrating. That's why coaches need additional ways to build authority and connection.   We Are Living in a Trust Recession People are more skeptical than ever. They've purchased programs that overpromised and underdelivered. They've followed experts who weren't what they claimed to be. They've seen marketing messages everywhere. As a result, trust takes longer to build. And in 2026, the coaches who stand out won't necessarily be the ones posting the most. They'll be the ones building trust the deepest.   Why Podcasting Creates Deeper Connection A podcast allows people to hear: • Your voice • Your stories • Your perspective • Your energy • Your philosophy They aren't just consuming content. They're building a relationship with you. When someone listens to you for 15, 20, or 30 minutes, they gain a much deeper understanding of how you think and how you help people. That level of connection is difficult to create through a single social media post.   Why Podcasting Works So Well for Health Coaches Health coaching is personal. People aren't simply purchasing information. They're investing in support, guidance, accountability, and trust. Potential clients often ask themselves: • Do I trust this person? • Do I feel understood? • Does this approach make sense for me? • Can this coach actually help me? A podcast helps answer those questions before someone ever books a discovery call.   Building Authority Through Your Voice Many coaches teach similar topics: • Gut health • Hormones • Weight loss • Blood sugar balance • Stress management • Metabolism • Mindset What makes you different isn't necessarily what you teach. It's how you teach it. Your stories. Your frameworks. Your experiences. Your perspective. Podcasting gives you a platform to showcase those differences and become memorable.   The Long-Term Value of Podcast Content Social media content often disappears within hours. Podcast episodes continue working for you. Someone can discover an episode weeks, months, or years later. They can binge multiple episodes. They can spend hours learning from you. That creates a very different relationship than someone who scrolls past a post in seven seconds.   The Four Episodes Every New Podcast Needs You don't need to plan an entire year of content. Start with four foundational episodes: Episode 1: Your Story Why do you do this work? What led you here? Episode 2: The Biggest Problem Your Audience Faces What challenge is keeping your ideal client stuck? Episode 3: Your Method or Philosophy How is your approach different? What do you believe that others don't? Episode 4: A Practical Teaching Episode Give listeners a quick win they can implement immediately.   One Podcast Can Fuel Your Entire Content Strategy A single podcast episode can become: • A newsletter • Multiple social media posts • Reels • Carousels • Blog content • YouTube videos • Facebook posts • Client resources Instead of constantly wondering what to post, your podcast becomes your content engine.   Stop Waiting for Perfect Many coaches delay podcasting because they think they need: • Better equipment • A larger audience • More confidence • Better branding • More experience But clarity comes through action. You get better by recording. You become more confident by using your voice. And your podcast improves every time you hit record.   Final Thoughts Your voice is one of the most powerful tools you have. Not because it's perfect. But because it's yours. If you're tired of chasing the algorithm and looking for a more sustainable way to build visibility, authority, and trust, podcasting may be exactly what your business needs. Your future clients don't need another tip. They need to trust the person behind the tip. And a podcast gives you the opportunity to build that trust every single week.   Resources Are you a health coach in need of done-for-you content? Life keeps lifing. You know what you need to do for yourself, but somewhere between the to-do list and the people who need you, you keep landing at the bottom of your own priority list. In this episode, Dani gets real about the foundational practices she comes back to every time she starts to drift, and the mantra that rewired everything. She shares the magical moment in Paris where she thanked the past version of herself for the work that set her up to be on that solo trip, the line that has changed her mornings ("I'm unavailable to put Dani on the back burner"), and why she thinks motivation is, in her words, a crock of shit. In this episode, Dani talks about: - Why prioritizing yourself is the opposite of selfish (and how to spot the lie) - The 5 non-negotiable morning practices that keep her grounded - The alarm clock trick that gets you out of bed every time - Why burnout heals in the middle of life, not on a six-month sabbatical - Gentle somatic practices to wake up a fried nervous system - The Serenity Prayer as a daily reset button If you've been carrying everyone else and you keep landing last on your own list, this episode will hit like a deep breath and a hug and a kick in the ass all at once. What if getting dressed became less about managing perception…and more about self-expression and shaping our experience? In this episode of the Advancing Women Podcast, Dr. DeSimone explores the surprising emotional depth behind something that initially seems lighthearted: overdressing for no reason, Disney ears on a cruise, bold earrings, sparkle, whimsy, and the idea that maybe “less is more” has quietly turned into a life philosophy that asks us all to become smaller versions of ourselves. Inspired by a series of Instagram and TikTok posts about “normalizing overdressing,” “living in gray,” and reclaiming joy, this episode dives into: Why “YOU are the occasion” is such a powerful reframe. The psychology of Enclothed Cognition and how clothing can influence mood, confidence, and emotional experience. The cultural pressure toward neutrality, practicality, and emotional minimization. Why so many women are socialized to tone themselves down and avoid being “too much.” How adulthood became associated with restraint, muted joy, & “emotionally beige” living. The connection between joy, self-expression, visibility, and the concept of Deferred Life. Why reclaiming whimsy may actually be an act of self-reclamation. From Disney ears and pirate night themes to the “closet graveyard” of aspirational purchases and unworn outfits, this episode reflects on what it means to stop postponing aliveness and start fully participating in your own life. Because maybe being “too much” was never actually the problem. Maybe too many of us were simply taught that joy should be quieter than it deserves to be. Key Takeaways: • Less is not always more • Whimsy is not immaturity • Joy is not frivolous • Self-expression is not a character flaw • You do not need a special occasion to fully show up inside your own life So wear the fancy dress. Use the good perfume. Drink the good wine. Wear the ears. Take the photo. Because life is short. And Less is BORE!
