What a title! I mean...Pulitzer material ;) Hi Lovies, I hope this finds you well and enjoying the holiday season. As promised, this week I am focusing on some practical application for business growth; either for your personal brand or that of your company by exploring a framework that I have designed around Missions, Goals, Tasks, Frequency, Cost and Time Horizon. I'll post a picture of the framework and how we filter two missions through said process: Social Media Growth and Attracting Investors. Last week, we covered heart-work and this week, we're getting some practical tools. Next week, I'll share two methods for how you'll actually get alll of this done: Healthy Boundaries and Healthy Habits. I pray this is helpful to you and gets you really excited for all you will dream and accomplish in 2022. Drop me a line if you have any questions (IG: @thelipsticknetwork) and please share this episode. Have a bada$$ weekend! Love, Char PS- There's a secret "snippet" of content with my wise bestie, Katie, at the end so please don't miss it! (Shout out to Dr. D for the feedback)xoxo
Hello Lovies, I hope this finds you well and eager for what is to come in 2022. As we transition, in gratitude, through the month of December, I wanted to give you a few tools that may help you reset and reframe your heart, mind, and body for the year to come. We will do that by discussing your Purpose, Strengths and Values, and how each element yields the truth of YOU. As always, I hope you feel my heart for you; my heart for your growth and joy and healing. Thank you for taking the time to listen, and please do share this episode if you think it will bless someone you know. Til next week when I publish the "practical bits", I see, celebrate and love you. xoxo Char " When we intentionally choose authenticity, we live in integrity. From this place of truth, we move into the world with conviction, clarity and care; ready to give and receive abundance." - Charity Wright Golden - Link to the StrengthsFinder
Today, we have the honor and joy of seeing, celebrating and loving on my beloved cousin, Rachel. Homeschool mom of 4, this beautiful woman welcomes us into her family, sharing with us her son, Riley's, diagnosis of Down syndrome; how she felt, how she prepared, and how she prays for this differently-abled young man. Authentic, vulnerable and in-process, Rachel is warm and loving, and everyday does extra of the ordinary, and in our hearts, that makes her EXTRAORDINARY! She shares resources, recommendations and some legit advice we could alllll embrace about 'comparison culture'. I hope this blesses your heart, makes your laugh, makes you GRATEFUL and can be a resource for you or someone you know. Share it! You never know what this woman's half-glass-full attitude could do for someone in your life. Be blessed and try to behave ;) Char - Feel lead to bless children who need your support? Hello all of you amazing people! I honestly cannot express how grateful I am to be "back". I don't have to tell you that the last 18-20 months have been...once-in-a-100-years DIFFICULT because you've been living through it too. So, first of all, I pray that you are well; that your family and loved ones are healthy and doing alright. For those of you in grief and struggling, I send peace and light your way. I pray you know you're not alone, that help is available to you. Just reach out. This relaunch/reboot/remix episode is just me. It's an update, a confession, a pep talk and a list of 'what's saving me right now', and also what's kicking my a$$. To be vulnerable, the last eighteen months my tank has been "empty"- my heart broken by the injustice, the lies, the distrust of expertise, the disappointments of my faith-community, that I just couldn't "fake it" with y'all. So, I took a beat; poured into my family and close friends; and now, I'm transitioning from surviving to thriving (fingers crossed) and this podcast is one place I hope to put light and love into the world again. This episode is about living your purpose, defining your values and living with integrity. What are these elements for you? Maybe it's time for you to relaunch a dream; maybe it's time for you to cut someone loose; whatever the decision, see it through and live with integrity. It's NEVER too late to reboot/remix/relaunch your life, and I hope this Network can be a place of encouragement and sunshine for you in the process. The Lipstick Network has been and always will be a place and space where we see, celebrate and love extra-ordinary women! If you're one of those extraordinary women (you are, just nod your head in agreement and smile), or if you want to celebrate another extra-ordinary woman in your life, drop me a line. Like, for real! In closing, let me say, "You sexy." Put on a pop-lip, some comfortable and sexy heels and strut through your day with the conviction that every ordinary thing you do is EXTRA-ordinary to someone in your life. You are a chain-breaker, overcomer, diva on a mission to put love, truth, freedom, gratitude and grace into the world. You are not alone; we are all sisters on mission, together. Now, go on and seize this day! In wanting to bring joy to your life, I am sharing the foundation of mine: my mom and nan- aka "The Dancing Queens" This week, I took a detour from my "plans" of sharing some work I've been doing to break emotional chains and lies that "I'm not worth loving" because it honestly, kinda made me sad. While I'm not an "ignorance is bliss" person, I wanted to bring some joy into your life this Friday. So, here's a little insight into the AMAZING women who have seen, celebrated and LOVED me my whole life. I send you my love, Charity
Reclaiming your mental wellness is not easy, it requires work. But trust me, it's WORTH it for you and your family! This week's episode is powerful, vulnerable, challenging and loving. Saying there's "a lot" going on right now, is a gross understatement, and maybe like me, you're having a tough time. Whether it's anxiety, depression, sleeplessness, old trauma resurfacing, or new triggers developing during COVID and #BlackLivesMatter, Dr. D is here for it. She's brilliant, open, loving, vulnerable and practical; she offers insight to signs, triggers, home therapies and counsel to identify, work through, and bring healing into your life, so that you may step into the fullness of yourself, of your calling, and of your responsibilities. Wherever you're at, I pray you feel seen, celebrated and loved all along the way. That's what we're here for: you. All my love, Charity
Take the last two weeks of civil unrest + a global pandemic, and I don't know about you guys, but I am mentally and emotionally exhausted. Thank goodness for mental healthcare professionals like Dr. Davis and her colleagues who are here to tool us to WORK through the mess and grow into our best selves. Dr. Davis demystifies the "I don't need therapy, I'm not crazy" stigma; that once in therapy, always in therapy; and how to establish healthy routines and boundaries to protect your home and family. I love her. She's a friend of mine. Enjoy this chat with Dr. Davis-her warmth, humor, humility and dedication to making the world a better place through healing, is palpable. Be safe. Be healthy. Be blessed. With love, Charity - Dialectical Behavior Therapy - You can reach Dr. Davis on her website: Davis Synergetic Development and IG: @davissynergetic
In our second episode of “Delivering during COVID”, I have the honor of seeing, celebrating and loving on Dr. Cindy McCullough-PhD, Nursing Midwife and Clinical Director at the “Breath of Life Birth Center” in Largo, FL. Cindy is brilliant, seeking, humble, warm and convicted in her work to empower, tool, and support birthing moms, in a safe and clinical environment. We talk COVID-19 protocols, “Midwife slander”, appreciation for obstetrics (among other things), but mostly our chat is about the power inside of women: our inability to know our bodies, our minds and our hearts, and how life-changing stepping into the power can be. My life is a testament to this power: Cindy was my midwife and when I sought permission to birth my daughter as my body needed, she released me from any need to ask for permission, and I stepped into the fullness of my power as a woman and birthing mother. It is my deepest belief that empowered mothers, birth empowered children. From this position of servant leadership, of loving power, we can put love, hope, joy and justice into a world that so desperately needs it. I pray this episode serves you, whether it's your season of motherhood or not, as it is another chapter in this community of seeing, celebrating and loving one another. With love, Charity - Breath of Life Birth Center
In our inaugural episode of 'The Lipstick Network", we are seeing, celebrating and LOVING the soon-to-be moms and the professionals that keep them safe during their labor experience. Dr. Mary Ashley Cain, high-risk OB-GYN at Tampa General Hospital, joins us to explain the process of labor and delivery, as well as specific protocols being taken to protect mom and baby during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her assertion that, 'Nothing has changed. We are here for you, so come to the hospital. We got you,' made me sigh in relief. This episode was inspired by my dear friends who have/will give birth during this unorthodox time. I think you're incredible; you got this, girl! This isn't news but doctors, nurses, and all the support staff that are making our world go round right now, are AMAZING! We take this episode to celebrate Dr. Cain, all of her colleagues, the front-line heroes and the extra-ordinary women giving birth to our future! May you find peace, power and preparedness from this episode.
