This powerful message dives deep into biblical stewardship, faithfulness, and the difference between calling Jesus Savior and truly making Him Lord. Discover what it really means to surrender your life, manage your time, talent, and resources, and live with eternity in mind. Scripture reminds us, "Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful" (1 Corinthians 4:2). Faithfulnessânot feelingsâis the true measure of a life surrendered to God. Jesus challenges us directly: "No servant can serve two mastersâĤ You cannot serve God and mammon" (Luke 16:13). This message unpacks what it means to choose God daily over comfort, control, and material pursuits. You'll also explore the deeper tension between salvation and lordship, as seen in "Why do you call Me 'Lord, Lord,' and not do the things which I say?" (Luke 6:46). True faith is more than beliefâit's obedience in action. With insight from the parable of the unjust steward (Luke 16:1â11), this teaching will challenge you to use temporary resources for eternal impactâinvesting in people, living with purpose, and preparing for eternity. If you've been wrestling with consistency, purpose, or spiritual growth, this message will equip and challenge you to take responsibility for what God has entrusted to you and live a life that truly honors Him.
Discover the powerful biblical principle that unlocks growth, leadership, and purpose. In this message from First Epistle to the Corinthians 4:2, we explore why faithfulness is the foundation of stewardship and why God often tests us with responsibility before promotion. Through the story of Joseph in the Book of Genesis, you'll learn the three tests that prepare people for greater influence: responsibility, integrity, and authority. Many people miss their opportunity because they see obstacles instead of assignments. If you've ever wondered why your breakthrough seems delayed or why your season feels like preparation, this message will challenge and equip you to steward the opportunities God has placed in front of you. Stop waiting. Start stewarding. Your next season may depend on it.

In this edition of the Peristyle Podcast hosts Ryan Abraham, Connor Morrissette (aka "Triple Double") and intern India Otto are back to discuss the successful 2025 season opener against Missouri State with the Trojans putting a historic beatdown on the former FCS program 73-13. Now the focus shifts to Georgia Southern, a step-up in the caliber of opponent but still not a true test for a USC football team with higher aspirations than just making a decent bowl. The crew gives a few thoughts on what they took away from the week one victory, focusing mostly on younger Trojans, including true freshman Husan Longstreet, getting an opportunity for early development with significant playing time against live competition. With former USC head coach Clay Helton coming into the Coliseum this weekend, Ryan, Connor and India give their thoughts on what sort of reaction the crowd will have and how this USC football team will respond, knowing that a significant portion of the fanbase is looking for a similar result to last weekend against MSU. In their first game the Eagles looked good in the first half against Fresno State before falling apart in the second half. Helton and company are staying in California and are looking for a much better performance in week two, something Lincoln Riley will try to prevent from happening. After talking about this matchup, the hosts will discuss other notes around the USC football program including a few players retuning from injury and the reaction to removing the "drip check" from the Trojan Walk. Toilet paper. You use it. I use it. Sometimes, even my children use it. The point is, toilet paper is everywhere. Almost everyone needs it, and so much of it still comes from actual forests, and yet 2 billion people don't have access to even basic sanitation, much less readily available and recycled toilet paper. That's about 40% of the global population. 289,000 children under five die every year from diarrheal diseases caused by poor water and sanitation. That's almost 800 children per day, or one child every two minutes. That's also completely fucking unacceptable. So what can I do about toilet paper and sanitation, and can I do them at the same time? My guest today is Bernie Wiley. Bernie's the Sustainability Director at Who Gives a Crap and, oh boy, do I love this company.Who Gives A Crap makes toilet paper and paper towels and poop bags and more out of recycled paper and bamboo. And they give 50% of their profits to help build toilets and improve sanitation in the developing world. And because of Bernie's relentless focus, they consider every step of the supply chain along the way from water use to power use, all the way to last-mile delivery.-----------Have feedback or questions?
