Ryan Reed has been an open book when it comes to discussing his recovery from addiction. His journey led him to several stints into rehabs and sober livings, but he still struggled to stay clean.  Nate Tarver's first day of work as a police officer in Moore, Oklahoma would leave him shocked and stunned when one of his coworkers referred to him as a nigger with a gun over forty years ago when he was issued his uniform. In an age when diversity wasn't appreciated or fully accepted, Nate was the only African American officer in a department that wasn't ready for inclusiveness.
