Then they break down the Memphis 2-deep. We close with our thoughts and prayers going out to the great state of Louisiana after the path of destruction from Hurricane Ida.

At the beginning of this weeks' show, we talk about the loss of Danton Barto far too soon at the age of 50. His loss is immense and our prayers continue for Shelley, Will and the rest of Danton's family, friends and former teammates.After that, John, Larry and Bryan go in-depth with the preseason predictions for the 2021 season. We talk about each game and in typical fashion...we disagree...but oddly enough, less than normal.A word about the end (last 15 minutes or so) of the episode. We always try to stay away from political or issues that are way outside the range of our normal discussion. This one is different. It gets pretty heavy. There's a lot of loss and tragedy going on right now and John & Larry get pretty deep into the current debate raging about vaccines. It was emotional and hard to talk about, but it was important to share. If you don't want to hear it, then you can stop listening around the 1:20 mark.Next week is game week!

This isn't our typical show; we spent the entire 30 minutes talking to Dr. Walker- and we've could have gone longer.

Our longest, most raw and probably most intense show ever. We covered a lot of ground. I'd advise listening in a couple of parts. The first half is the news that broke during the show about Penny Hardaway announcing he is staying at Memphis and the hiring of Larry Brown. John is going to make some people very, very unhappy. We closed the show discussing the article on TSR that Bryan wrote comparing the first year of Norvell to the first year of Silverfield. While everyone agreed that it would be moronic to fire Silverfield, John and Larry offered some dissenting opinions on why some people have some concerns right now.

John, Bryan and Larry recap the win over SFA on Saturday and look ahead to an always tough trip to Annapolis. The guys were joined by Mike James from The Mid Report to go under the hood and look at why Navy has struggled so much this season. It's probably just the fever talking, but John is more bullish on the Tigers this week than he has been all year.

This week John Larry & Bryan touch on the USF game and how it was in some ways a microcosm of the entire season. After talking briefly about Stephen F Austin, the attention turns to an in-depth focus on where the Tigers problems stem from. We close with the note that it is much better to be nitpicking about being 4-2 than the alternative.

A little different show this week. Not for the faint of heart or for those looking for in-depth analysis of why we lost to Cincinnati. We talked about how upsetting the effort on Saturday was & what we are looking for against USF. We then talked a lot about the emotional power of sports at a time when we are so divided as a country.

On a positive note, this was scheduled to be our actual bye week! On this week's show, we cover the loss at SMU and ask the question should we have waited to start until now? We also pay a brief tribute to Eddie Van Halen and talk a little bit about the loss of our entire SID department at Memphis a little over a week ago.
