Here we go! The Seahawks will face the 49ers for the 2nd time in two weeks when San Francisco comes to town on Saturday for the Divisional round of the playoffs. Who has the advantage as these two teams meet up for the 3rd time this season? The Seahawks had the bye and the rest, but the 49ers knocked off the defending champs and they are ready for the Hawks. :30- The Cold Turkey Sandwich hits different on Wildcard Weekend as we check the board of scores. The first round of playoff games did not disappoint and we still have one more to go tonight! :45- Coach Bucky is here! - Coach Bucky is a Broncos fan; how does he feel about the matchup with the Bills? - Jauan Jennings is Super Pumped to be playing the Seahawks again on Saturday. HUGH MILLEN makes his regular Friday visit to give us his thoughts on the Demond Williams situation with UW and more. Should Fisch and Chun have done something different instead of welcoming him back? :30- MIKE HOLMGREN It's all about the bye week- how beneficial is it and how did Coach handle the playoff bye week when he was coaching? It seems that the big plays have dried up a bit, is it time to cut it loose? Everyone keeps talking about the turnover issue, should the offense be thinking more conservatively? :45- We close out the show and the week with Booze News!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
First he's here, then he's gone and now… he's back? Demond Williams signed a revenue sharing deal with UW on January 2nd, before deciding he could do better at LSU and announcing he was entering the transfer portal, blindsiding coaches, teammates and his agent. Unfortunately for Demond, the contract he signed was legally binding and now, he's “decided” to come back to UW. Can he earn the trust of his teammates, coaches and the fans back or is the damage done? :30- Are the Seahawks peaking at the right time? We talked to Matt Hasselbeck about it on Wednesday and his thoughts on how hot the Hawks are right now sparked a conversation. :45- We do it every Friday, it's our No Cliché Keys to Victory! Yes, the Seahawks are on bye, so the keys are a little different this week. What will it take for the Hawks to advance to next week? See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Headlines and GREGG BELL (Tacoma News Tribune) - We ask Gregg the same question we asked Matt Hasselbeck- are the Seahawks peaking right now? - Offensively, what are the Seahawks doing that has improved? - Is the offense not a concern? Is the defense playing their best? :30- Demond Williams is returning to UW, will the fanbase be able to welcome him back eventually? Yes, he's 19, should he be given more grace for his mistake? :45- It's NFL wildcard weekend- who's moving on? See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
MIKE MACDONALD (Seattle Seahawks) The Seahawks head coach joins the show to talk playoff preparation. How are they handling the Klint Kubiak interviews? How does he feel about John Harbaugh being let go by the Ravens? Is he concerned about the Sam Darnold turnovers? How elite is his defense and is this team playing it's best ball? :30- CAM CLEELAND (Learfield Washington color analyst) The Demond Williams saga took quite a turn yesterday when he announced his return to UW, how does Cam feel about the whole thing? Does he welcome the QB back? :45- We play a little game of “What's your price tag?” See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
The Seattle Seahawks have earned their bye week as the NFC's top seed, and the dominance couldn't be sweeter. Mike McDonald's squad dismantled the 49ers in a performance that left no question about who was the top team in the NFC. T Jaxon Smith-Njigba capped off a historic season with 1,793 receiving yards—outpacing the entire New York Jets receiving corps—while the offensive evolution under Klint Kubiak has transformed Seattle from an explosive passing attack into a balanced team that others will fear in the playoffs. Charles Cross locked in a four-year, $104 million extension that looks like a very team friendly deal. The value only gets better when considering the contract takes him through age 30, giving Seattle bookend tackles with Abraham Lucas secured for the foreseeable future. Kubiak may have a future as a head coaching candidate. The Ravens job seems like a legitimate landing spot if he leaves, though there's zero interest in discussing coordinator departures while chasing a Lombardi. The wild card weekend brings a cursed Rams team to Carolina, where Dave Canales goes full circle back to when Seattle faced the Saints. We talk about the other playoff teams in the NFC and which could be considered "fraudulent." In Do Better, PFF takes a beating for rating Sam Darnold's solid performances against Carolina and San Francisco close to the same as Bryce Young and significantly lower than Brock Purdy. Arguments with AI also fall into the Do Better bin. Better at Life honors go to JSN and the Seahawks 2025 defense. Join our Sea Hawkers Podcast Pickem League - free prizes for weekly winners. Tom Brady joined Joel Klatt this week and was asked if he would have stayed at Michigan if the rules of CFB were how they are now and his answer was perfect. We have moved past the point of challenging our kids and want to make everything easier, but there's a lot of value lost in that. :30- MIKE SANDO (The Athletic) It's wildcard weekend, so how does Mike think the whole thing will shake out? Who has the most promise to excel in the playoffs? Is this the year Josh Allen has to get it done? Mike's reactions to Harbaugh and McDaniel being fired and where does he think they'll end up? :45- We close out the Thursday show with one last thing! 12th Man Roundtable with HUGH MILLEN and GREGG BELL (Tacoma News Tribune) - Is this Seahawks team a Super Bowl team? - We know the defense can do it, but is the offense capable of getting the job done on their end? :30- We are back with more 12th man roundtable - Are we talking about Byron Murphy enough? - This Seahawks team is all about the defense. :45- We wrap up the roundtable, not with predictions and keys to the game since we're on bye, but with a look at the preferred path for the Seahawks and one last thing for Hugh. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Headlines and RYAN LEAF (Westwood One) Ryan is on the call for the Rams and Panthers, can the Panthers pull off the upset? Who is coming out of the NFC? Why aren't the Seahawks Ryan's favorite to win the NFC? How does Ryan really feel about the state of college football? :30- Ryan said something very interesting about the future of college football and how he sees it moving forward and we need to talk about it! It's pretty similar to what Chuck's plan has been, does Ryan know something we don't? :45- We chatted with Matt Hasselbeck yesterday and one of the topics of conversation was Sam Darnold. Will he hold the Seahawks back from winning the Super Bowl? See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The #1 seed means a week of rest and getting to watch wildcard weekend stress-free! The swing from that Seahawks-49ers game was massive as the Seahawks get to have the weekend off and the 49ers head to Philadelphia. :30- Cardinals head coach, Jonathan Gannon was one of the casualties of Black Friday, which begs the question- who is next for the Cardinals? :45- Yesterday Coach Holmgren expressed his concern over the Seahawks only managing 13 points against the 49ers on Saturday. How concerned should we be by the offensive output? See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
The Demond Williams situation is everything that is wrong with college football and people are rightfully angry about it. Not only did Williams sign a revenue-sharing deal with UW just days ago, but he announced he was leaving while his teammates and coaches were at a memorial service. Why are people shocked that the NFL is less corrupt than college football? That's not new. :30- The Baltimore Ravens have parted ways with John Harbaugh and he's already in high demand as seven teams have reportedly contacted him already. It seems like he will have his pick of his next destination. Meanwhile, Seahawks OC, Klint Kubiak also seems to be a hot commodity and he's spent the week interviewing. :45- Who is to blame for the current state of college football? See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Headlines and 12th Man news with GREGG BELL (Tacoma News Tribune) Gregg can do it all, so we start off the conversation by asking him for his thoughts on the Demond Williams/college football chaos. What has Klint Kubiak's week been like and could the interview process affect playoff preparations? :30- SOFTY joins the show to give us his thoughts and insight on the Demond Williams situation. Rumors are that Demond Williams blindsided everyone at UW and made the decision to leave UW with his family, leaving everyone else in shock. What effects will this have on Washington outside of just losing Demond? The repercussions could be huge. For those wondering, no, there was zero chance Demond didn't know what was going on at UW at the time he made his announcement and that alone has a lot of people up in arms. :45- It's time to get Reckless at Breakfast and we are sticking with college football. Chuck has discussed the state of college football in this segment a lot over the years, from tournaments, to conference realignment, to coaches and players jumping ship. He's also talked about college football one day becoming professional and we are closer to that than ever before. Will Chuck's next prophecy ring true- is the NFL waiting to swoop in and takeover college football? See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
