What a week it's been for the Arkansas Razorbacks men's basketball—the Hoop Hogs are SEC Tournament champions for the first time since 2000. The Hogs cut down the nets in the 2026 SEC Men's Basketball Tournament in Nashville, securing the program's second SEC tournament title ever and its first in 26 years. It's a massive statement for a team led by head coach John Calipari in his first season in Fayetteville. Arkansas played some of its best basketball of the year at the perfect time, and guard Darius Acuff Jr. earned tournament MVP honors after leading the Hogs through the bracket. For Razorback fans, this run had a little bit of everything—big scoring performances, tough defense, and clutch moments that made it feel like the team is peaking just as March begins.It wasn't just the basketball team making noise.The Diamond Hogs—the Arkansas Razorbacks baseball—also had a huge weekend at Baum–Walker Stadium, taking two out of three games from the No. 3 ranked Mississippi State Bulldogs baseball.The series was incredibly tight:Game 1: Arkansas wins 5–4Game 2: Mississippi State responds 7–2Game 3: Arkansas takes the rubber match 7–3 to secure the series. That's a massive early-season SEC statement. Taking a series from a top-three team in the country shows this Razorback baseball squad once again looks like a national contender.

The SEC Coaching Carousel spun wildly over the weekend. Lane Kiffin is the new coach at the LSU Tigers, Pete Golding it's promoted as his replacement at the Ole Miss Rebels. Tulane coach Jon Sumrall is on his way to coach the Florida Gators. Ryan Silverfield is the new coach at Arkansas and Kentucky has fired Mark Stoops. Friday, The Texas Longhorns knocked The Texas A&M Aggies out of the SEC Championship with a 27-17 win in Austin. Texas A&M Football is in the College Football Playoffs while Texas Football likely will not be, though many argue they should have a spot. The Georgia Bulldogs beat the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 16-9 in Atlanta. Georgia Football finishes 11-1 and faces Alabama in Saturday's SEC Championship. The Ole Miss Rebels beat the Mississippi State Bulldogs 38-19 in the Egg Bowl Friday in Starkville. The loss ends the season for Mississippi State Football. For Ole Miss Football, the drama only began with the win. Head coach Lane Kiffin left Sunday for the LSU Tigers head coaching job. The Oklahoma Sooners saved their Playoff lives with a 17-13 win at home over the LSU Tigers. Oklahoma Football scored with 4:16 to go to hold off LSU Football and hold their Playoff spot. The Ohio State Buckeyes beat the Michigan Wolverines 27-9. Ohio State Football solidifies their spot in the Big Ten Championship Game and holds their #1 spot in the College Football Playoff rankings.
