The Tennessee Titans made their roster cuts this week to get to the NFL's regular-season limit of 53 players. Then they promptly used their position as the first team in the league's waiver order to make a handful of roster adjustments a day later, with a clear focus on one unit. Additionally, they named team captains, and the seven-person group includes one newcomer, one rookie and a couple of familiar names, but it also excludes one position group. All of this sets the stage for the start of the regular season, which will come in just over a week.

Doc Walker kicks off the show sharing what stood out to him from the Commanders' preseason as the team heads into the regular season. He says he doesn't like the team's inability to get pressure on the quarterback and set the edge on defense. On the flip side, Doc highlights what he does like—the Commanders getting bigger in the trenches, the wide receiver room with Terry McLaurin back, and the potential of the defensive backs.
Kyle Hamilton says he was eager to get his contract extension done before the upcoming season. Will anyone else follow suit?

Send us a textWe welcome special guest Dilla to discuss the upcoming Jaguars season and all the recent changes to the team, from front office makeovers to roster moves and new coaching philosophies.• The front office transformation from Trent Baalke to James Gladstone has dramatically changed team culture and strategy• Trevor Lawrence looks mechanically improved with faster processing and better decision-making in the pocket• Liam Coen's modern offense features pre-snap motion and "gotcha plays" that create easy opportunities for success• The running back room is stacked with talent, though Etienne likely won't return after this season despite his scheme fit• Gladstone's approach to roster building prioritizes meritocracy over draft status or contract considerations• The Jaguars have positioned themselves well for continued improvement with approximately 11-12 draft picks next year• Jacksonville's stadium plans and downtown development represent growth for both the team and community• The team has a more physical identity in practice and preseason than in previous yearsMake sure to follow Dilla on Twitch here: https://www.twitch.tv/boldtakepodTouchdown Jaguars Linktree James Johnson and Phil Barrera bring you the best and most up to date Jacksonville Jaguars news. "Touchdown Jaguars!" is a tribute to the prospective ownership group "Touchdown Jacksonville!" In 1991, the NFL announced plans to add two expansion teams and "Touchdown Jacksonville!" announced its bid for a team, and Jacksonville was ultimately chosen as one of five finalists. In November 1993, the NFL owners voted 26–2 in favor of awarding the 30th franchise to Jacksonville. James and Phil have been fans of the franchise ever since and have had the honor (and sometimes dishonor) of covering the team professionally since 2017. The rest as they say, is history.
