If you're betting on March Madness, stop guessing. We break down the ONLY six teams that can actually win it all based on real trends that have held up for decades. But that's just the start of the chaos. Tonight's episode includes: • World Baseball Classic drama as Team USA pushes for the title (and the commercials get… weirdly specific) • Louisiana Tech somehow scheduled for 20 football games thanks to a conference lawsuit
With March Madness in full swing, David Kahn calls upon his former co-host, Kyle Schassburger, to help steer the #3D ship as they reunite, reminisce and regale the listeners with loads of Louisiana Tech stories. From Schass' interactions with the head Diamond Dawg Lane Burroughs to insane travel tales throughout the country, it's been a wild ride for the new Louisiana Tech PxP Voice, but he's still the same ole Schass and we love him for it. Come for the Diamond Dawg Talk, stay for the bracket dissection and enjoy the witty retorts that only these two can generate with one another. Your one-stop shop for all things NCAA 1st and 2nd Rounds! Megan Gauer - who went 68-for-68 in her bracketology, it should be pointed out - and Rob Joyce run through every host site for the first two rounds. Potential upsets, names to know, potential speed bumps for the top seeds, even clarifications about bracketing rules... they've got it all. And they end with some Final Four predictions (hint: your Final Four should be chalky).See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
The bracket is here and it's gorgeous. Let's run through the field and talk about these games. Matt Norlander is ready to go, Hartzell is back from Nashville and even though his brain is more scrambled than usual, we're ranking all kinds of things on this bracket. Best 8/9 game? Best announcer pairings? Most likely 12-over-5? Who got the best - and worst - geographical pod assignments? So much to cover in today's show, and honestly the fellas could have kept going. What did Norlander think of Miami University getting shipped to Dayton? How many head coaches got fooled by the internet and the fake tip times? What's the most popular upset pick that nobody is talking about? So many questions but we're here for answers, folks! And - in a CSN exclusive - the guys run through the guidebook on how to properly write team names onto your bracket (because nobody spells out Wisconsin in full, we're not psychopaths here). An absolute banger of an episode, and frankly the only NCAA Tournament preview show worth listening to.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Spring practice whispers and intel are bubbling all across College Football. We’re also monitoring rumblings from the SEC and Big Ten about the future of everything from rules to media rights. Could we see a CFB superleague? Might the big two look to break away entirely? Could Congress get involved? We continue the truthteller series tonight with a look back at the Johnny Manziel era at Texas A&M along with a dive into the best WR rooms in College Football this year. How do programs like Ohio State and Miami stack up to Florida and Oregon? The Mood Tracker is also back with a pulse on Lane Kiffin’s first season at LSU. The annual late-night power hour through the conference tournament brackets returns as Matt Norlander has boots on the glass floor (that's currently being disassembled) at the Big XII Tournament in Kansas City, while Hartzell has boots on Broadway covering the SEC Tournament. So much to unpack from the first couple of days - including the Miami U loss in the MAC and the butterfly effect that's having all across the bubble picture. Every conference that has a bracket and is still playing ball gets discussed, some more in-depth than others, but the spirit of what we're doing here is very alive. An annual CSN tradition: two exhausted, hungry, and dehydrated guys breaking down these brackets and trying to make some sense of the hoops landscape now inside of 72 hours until the bracket gets unveiled. What a time to be alive. See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
There are still autobids to be won at the low- and mid-major levels, but for the power conference teams the resumes are in... is your team's good enough? Subscribers, be on the lookout on Sunday night or early Monday for the links to enter our annual bracket competition, with SZD sponsor prizes for the winners. It'll be fun! OK, here's this hoops-centric episode. College basketball has many of the same challenges as football, and some that are even tougher. Rodger Sherman joins Alex and Richard for a state of the union on CBB and a compare-contrast of how the dynamics we've observed in football are showing up in hoops. In this episode, you'll find: * 7:46: The story of Miami (Ohio), a mid-major basketball team whose undefeated regular season has resulted in an awfully CFB-like discourse about whether they should miss the NCAA tournament * 17:08: The widening gap between the high-major conferences and everyone else, quantified in real time by Rodger * 27:33: Why continuity problems appear to be worse in CBB * 41:32: Is that thing actually happening where the House settlement results in basketball-only schools having an advantage? * 45:06: We probably shouldn't actually worry that much about a small number of recent pros returning to the college game * 1:00:27: Rodger prepares us for March Madness Produced by Anthony Vito. This is a subscriber episode For $10 a month (or getting a free month with the whole year), you get: * Roughly twice as many episodes (usually two bonus a week in season and once a week out of season, but sometimes more) * Our entire back catalog of hundreds of bonus episodes, with many of them focused on evergreen topics from college football history * Subscriber Q&A opportunities * The knowledge that you're helping us make an audience-driven podcast about college football and keeping this podcast alive and well

Dak Prescott's wedding is off, Logan Paul backed out of a $1 million fight with an NFL player, and a soccer match in Brazil somehow ended with 23 red cards. Just another normal week in sports. This week on Craft Brewed Sports, we dive into the report that Dak Prescott and his fiancée called off their wedding after a massive fight at their joint bachelor/bachelorette party in the Bahamas. Did Dak dodge a bullet? We also break down Logan Paul pulling out of a proposed $1M boxing match with Le'Veon Bell, NFL free agency rumors, and Joe Burrow being spotted with Jessica Alba which sends the show down a dangerous 90s crush rabbit hole. Plus: • Team USA somehow still doesn't have a home run celebration in the WBC • Randy Arozarena is furious after Cal Raleigh snubbed his handshake • The Tokyo Dome ice cream sandwich might be the greatest stadium food ever • A woman is suing the Dodgers after allegedly getting hit with a flying BuzzBall • The NBA shuts down the Hawks' Magic City Monday promotion • Did NIL ruin March Madness upsets? • A Brazilian soccer match erupts into chaos with 23 red cards and police intervention • Scott only knows the Romelu Lukaku chant when soccer comes up And of course: beer reviews, degeneracy math, and the usual nonsense. We're six days out from Selection Sunday and the only thing between us and the gorgeous bracket is a full week of conference tournament action from coast-to-coast. Matt Norlander and Stephen Hartzell are flying through the Monday show with a recap of the autobids that have already been handed out, a recap of notable results over the weekend, and a full deep dive on the NCAA Tournament bubble which is Charmin soft. So soft, Norlander says, we should be going backwards on the number of teams in this thing - back to 64 - instead of the expansion talk of 70+ in the year(s) to come. The guys run through the sad state of the bubble and then it's on to the conference tournament brackets, which Hartzell has printed because this ain't no hobby, folks. The AAC bracket gets called out for egregious behavior, while the Big 12 earns the 'most improved' award for not going the blackout route. Norlander is headed to KC for Big 12 and as you listen to this Hartzell is literally heading west on I-40 to Nashville for SEC. A tremendous week of games awaits, let this show help set the table for an absolute hoops feast coming at you.
