I'm Joey Gilroy, a skier for the University of Akron Ski Team. My goal for the next year is to talk to every waterski team in the USA. Over the course of these interviews I try to get a better insight to what skiing is for different schools across the country.
For this interview I sat down with Jarad Meyer, one of the people behind Lake Lovers Club and Twin Lakes Cornfest! We talked about all this ski, but really focused in on his specific efforts to grow the sport and make it more accessible for all to enjoy! Among those efforts include a goal of passing the handle to 1,000 brand new people this summer, promoting his interdiscipline event Twin Lakes Corn Fest, and other ideas that he and his crew are pursuing!
